4 College Junior

Academic Experience: The class registration is excellent, you know the order of your classes.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: In a traditional class I am shy and I do not like to raise my hand or even talk in class. In a online class I able to participate in class because of the the discussion forum.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I love all of the resources Ashford provides to the students.

Campus Resources: Not only does Ashford have a great community base on campus but the students that are enrolled online support the school and have a lot of school support also. Along with their academic programs, their athletic programs are on the rise also!

Career Services: After I graduated Ashford University was helpful in emailing career fairs held in San Diego, helpful resume tips and alumni meetings.

Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: I attended Ashford University for their online program so I have no idea about their resources on campus.

4 Recent Alumnus

Campus Resources: I was on the online program at Ashford University and the assignments and curriculum were very detailed. All the professors I had were really helpful and responded promptly to all emails. Some courses were hard to follow online and needed a web course instead of just giving the assignments.

Campus Resources: I am taking online courses and with this resource I can only say that their online resources are excellent and especially the representatives that I talk to as well as my counselor.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: We do have a lot of problems with the wireless access. We are getting a new system this year so hopefully it will help out! I love having my own computer because I have everything saved on it and I can do what I want with it! I recommend getting your own but you don't have to!

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Being in the education program, the academic flexibility is incredible! Depending on the professors, you can talk to them about an issue and you have to turn something in late. they will work with you one on one to make sure you get everything in on time and have your best work! Amazing!!

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Sports centers are awesome! Wish we had a few more places to just hang around! The only thing I have to say is I wish we had more campus activities! People may disagree with me but I wish there was more to do on campus, especially at night!

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: We are a small, close knit school where everyone knows everyone. It is a very fun and inviting school. We do need some more space however. Because of the increase in students, dorm space has become very hard to figure out. The education program is phenomenal here also! I love what I am doing and the professors are all very passionate about their jobs!

5 College Senior

Online Courses: The classes are scheduled so that you can focus your attention on one subject at a time. For 5 weeks you work on 1 class and once that is finished you move onto the next.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Already disclosed my opinion in previous question.

1 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: What is actually horrible is their school library! Wow! You are asked to provide scholarly sources from the school library, but it is the most difficult to use. I mean you try to put in their suggestions so that you can find something on the topic you are trying to write about and you can never get what you need. Some you have to pay for. I am not in a financial position to pay for JSTOR and so I lose points on my grade because I can't follow the instructors request for my assignment.

College Sophomore

Student Body: I am online so there is no student body. At least none that I am aware of.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I believe the instructors/professors they have chosen to educate me through this journey of mine. The interaction with my classmates varies from one week to the next. I love it!

One thing is they need to select a better staff with regards to Advisors. Either their workload is too much or they are just not interested in the needs of the student. This is the only frustrating thing with this school. You feel unimportant and that your needs are not priority enough to meet with their attention.

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: The classes are flexible which is something that I like being a mother of five. I wasn't able to transfer credits which mean I had to redo some classes over.

4 College Freshman

Career Services: Even though I have yet to use the career services offered at my school, what I have seen so far has been wonderful opportunities provided to the students. I receive email notifications each month letting me know of new services being offered. I feel that is and will be helpful in the future.

4 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The process went fairly smooth. Everything was explained and my advisor was on the phone with me to help if I needed it.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It went smoothly. They did make one mistake on my finance loans but it was quickly taken care of and I am able to pay for my classes.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: I took online school at a community college before Ashford. When I started this school I felt that it had a much better program than the community college.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Online school work's really well for me. I work full time and I am a mom. I feel that online is better than the classroom setting because there are less distractions and I am able to my work on my time.

5 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I was excited to go back to school. It helps me to find time when it is convenient for me to do my school work

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: the teachers are there to help the students accomplish there biggest dreams to be what they wanna be

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
