Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very reasonable, but there isn't alot of financial aid for some students, especially online students.

Campus Resources: I wish that they had more scholarships and participate in the Federal Work Study program. Also, I would like to see some clubs that I could join.

College Senior

Career Services: Because I attend online classes, I can not determine the career services at Ashford

Student Body: Because I attend online classes, I can not determine the campus resources at Ashford

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: The convenience to attend classes online with just one class every five weeks. As a working parent, it beats other online colleges.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I really am unable to partake of the on campus services because I do not live near or on my campus.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I enjoy the computer work that I am given to do. I do not however like that the system logs you out of the system.

3 College Junior

Career Services: I am not too sure due to the fact that I have not yet graduated.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I enjoy my classes, however it would be better if all the guidelines were the same. In addition to which I would love it if we did not have financial aide taken away from us during our own personal hardships.

Academic Experience: For the most part, all of my instructors were a pleasure to work with. My issue was with the advising staff. At times I did not feel encouraged or valued. In my time at Ashford, I had at least a dozen advisors.

3 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: I am a History major and I have already completed my History courses. I really enjoyed taking these classes with Ashford because all of the instructors were very knowledgeable. The History workload is very intensive but manageable.

3 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The experience at the school has been great, theirs a few instructors that are somewhat not clear what they expect from you.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: The flexibility of my classes are pretty good, I can attend a class when I have time however because of my time difference.

5 College Senior

5 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe my institution did a great job at providing me with the right information to complete my financial aid process and I with that said I started successfully. They helped me when I didn't understand and when I needed help all I had to do was call and ask.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
