Career Services: I have been guided well in getting a degree for the career I want to go into. If I ever need anything the guidance is great from everyone at Ashford

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I like the fact that I am not being lectured at in a traditional classroom. I can send an email to get the help I need to students or even the instructor. I dont feel that I am getting any less than a student is getting in a traditional classroom.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I chose Ashford out of 10 other online universities and they where the only one that heard what I had to say and what I wanted. The other schools tried to get me to do programs I didnt want to do. Ashford found the right program to fit my wants and needs.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: The rate has gone up every year about $5 for the past few years but it is still affordable for what I am getting. I am getting every penny worth too.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Doing online classes has helped me get become what I want to become. They can get a little stressful but nothing that can be handled they are only 5 weeks at a time so a lot of information is being learned in a short amount of time.

5 College Sophomore

Student Body: The students that I have associated with are helpful and very friendly everyone seems to want to help one another out to achieve their goals for higher education.

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I am mainly an online student so the campus and its resources are all online for me they are great resources but I dont feel that I should rate something that I have never seen before.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: If there is a problem with me getting online and when it is not my issue at home then I can call and it gets fixed very fast.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have had only one problem with a Teacher but other than that I have not had any issues at all. I am in my 3rd year at Ashford and I am enjoying the learning experience.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is not even close to an actual sit down university. I think I get my moneys worth with online schools as I am getting good education for a lot cheaper without a lot of the hassle.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I am enrolled in an online program.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I would not be able to rate this as I am an online student and don't have access to this to rate it.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: I would say that it's probably in line with other schools.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The program I am in is pretty challenging in itself but the I feel as though I learn a lot from the course material

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The Financial aid process is pretty cut and dry. My advisor has always been very helpful and gone beyond her duties to help me out... she even sends me notes and cards of encouragement every couple of months with all kinds of positive affirmations.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I don't have to drive anywhere. The assignments are due the same days each week. Classes are done in 5 weeks. Don't have to deal with rude people in a classroom setting.

4 College Junior

Student Body: All levels of people go to this school. There are no issues.

4 College Junior

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
