5 College Junior

Overall Experience: I love this school and I would recommend it to anyone who was looking in to going to college. They are flexible, friendly, and knowledgeable. I have learned so much.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I take courses online line and I love it. They are very flexible with my busy schedule.

Student Body: I attend a college online. The only interaction I have with other students is through our discussion boards. There is also a cyber cafe just for students to chat with other students.

Career Services: I believe the quality of post-grad services at Ashford University are outstanding. I finished with my Associate's Degree and took a year off before starting my Bachelor's Degree. I was amazed with all the services they offered to me.

Overall Experience: I've enjoyed the classroom experiences I've had, however I haven't had an opportunity to take advantage of any of the campus facilities, even though they are only 40 minutes away.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: the online courses had a nice balance and the workload fits well into the 6 week class schedule. the ability to interact with peers is entertaining

Facilities: have not taken advantage of facilities

Academic Flexibility: the inability to combine programs to make a more personalized program is a negative, but the overall curriculum covers all the necessary topics

College Senior

Career Services: haven't had the opportunity to really experience the career center - no time since I've been focusing on my classes. i plan to take my first look over Christmas holiday

Academic Experience: the curriculum seems pretty straightforward, but does not allow for combining subjects of interest to make a more personalized MBA experience. the curriculum is cut and dried with the only variation I've seen when someone had taken the classes for a previous degree then different classes are substituted.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: the library has access to a significant number of relevant sources of information. I don't know about internships or hiring opportunities as Im not on campus. It would be nice is that type of infomratin was shared with online students as well.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Having 4 financial aid contacts within a year and hlf was confusing. The only good thing is that were consisent with the infomation they gave me. It just was hard getting the information because each person i attempted to contact was no longer my FA contact anymore.

Tuition & Financial Aid: There have been several times that I have had to ta with the financial aid office due to mistakes made on my account.

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: There are some teachers that have expectations that are unrealistic.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: The Education classes were amazing but the general topics required for graduation are insane.

4 College Junior

Student Body: The students really do try. They are mostly friendly and are working full time while in school and have families.

2 College Junior

Online Courses: The first few general classes are very good with this school. It is as though they put there best teachers out there first, then it is all down hill.

1 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have never had a worse experience then I do with this school.

1 College Junior

Facilities: The teachers are not there for the students when you have a question.

Overall Experience: If I could choice to start all over I would never begin at Ashford. They are not helpful for their students and they are not good at getting back to here students in a timely manner.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
