4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The professors give the right amount of work load and are very up front of what they expect from their students.

Online Courses: Over all my experience has been good except when they change things and not let you know that the system doen't work with internet explore 11 and that is all you have.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I believe the education here at Ashford Online is amazing, the tuition is a bit higher than regular campus classes because we are paying for the convenience of not having to drive to school. My experience with financial aid has been okay thus far.

Student Body: My only chance to "see" the student body is via online discussions, but they seem to be hardworking, smart people.

Academic Experience: My specific major is Education. The workload is at times just right some days it seems alot just because I work and have two children, but I manage, completing homework very late into the night. The curriculum matches my career, I do not have an intership according to my advisor, as for job opportunities none have been offered, but I graduate in February 2014.

Academic Experience: Academics offered are tied in with my career. Most professors are understanding, thier workload is not bad, we can keep up if organized.

Career Services: I am not there yet, but I have gotten advisor calls asking me if I want to continue school for a Masters Degree, very tempting.

Academic Flexibility: I have not really had any hassles at Ashford, but there are some courses I had to take I really didnt understand how they were connected to my career, I guess its all to help us better our critical thinking skills. My credits were transferred without an issue. My only frustrations is not having money to finish paying for my last class, but other than that I can say it was a pleasure Ashford.

Online Courses: I have truly learned and applied myself with the courses here at Ashford. The workload at times may be alot, but most of the time it is the right amount to keep us busy and in learning mode. Peer interaction is via discussions and some discussions turn into friendships. I can say I have refreshed some of my skills and obtained many more to use in my new career of teaching Special Education.

Overall Experience: I am really enjoying my studies at Ashford University, the online school is perfect, the workload keeps me busy and learning, professors are good at responding discussions. If I had to attend school again or if I decide to continue for my masters, yes it will be with Ashford.

College Senior

Facilities: I'm an online student, I wouldn't be able to rate the campus, I wish I were on campus.

5 College Junior

Facilities: would recommend this school to others

4 College Senior

Facilities: Customer service is very helpful

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have no complaints

College Freshman

Facilities: I am unable to answer this, since this is my first college experience.

3 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am in a special group because of my mental issues. It helps because it gives me a day and a half extra to submit assignments.

2 College Freshman

Academic Experience: My major is Healthcare Administration, yet I am enrolled in courses that have nothing to do with that subject. For instance, I just began a course called Intro to Film. I have been billed for Anthropology, and it is not even on my list of courses scheduled, and I did not receive all of my financial aid, and can not get answers to any of these things.

College Freshman

Student Body: Being on-line I do not interact with the staff face to face, so I can not answer this.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: I can log onto my class at any time of the day or night, whenever it suits me. No deadlines, except for submitting assignments, so there is no rush to finish research in a certain amount of time.

College Freshman

Campus Resources: I attend on-line classes, therefore, this question does not apply to me.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Because I am in On-line courses, I think their computer system works fine and it gets the job done whether you speak to someone in Iowa or California.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
