3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am just now beginning my second year at Ashford, so I have not had a chance to really get in to any major specific courses. So it would be hard to really elaborate on that at this time.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I responded that to this category with it's okay because I have had some really great experiences with my academic ad visors and some of my professors. But I have also had some really negative experiences with one of my professors.

Campus Resources: School provides a lot of resources for the students

Academic Flexibility: This school's main high point is that it extremely flexible work load and schedule wise. it is the reason I can not totally regret my decision to attend.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love the school overall. I love the schedule and the work load. I am a mom so I love that I do not have to sign on and sit in some sort of cyber chat at a certain time everyday. I am just unhappy about all the loans I have to take out to go there and the fact that I am taking out all these loans and still having to come out of pocket for all these random book cost, lab equipment etc.

College Freshman

Career Services: I have not taken a look at the career center yet.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I am currently taking online classes and I think the flexibility is wonderful! I am able to do my schoolwork on my time.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The school promised to be one of the best when it came with technology advancement, but that ended up being one of the most disappointing things for my school. But all in all, if you maintain at least a 3.5 gap, your whole tuition is paid for. But there have been many unexpected fees that don't even make sense. Also, the company you HAVE to buy books from, is super expensive and doesn't honor the guaranteed buyback that was promised.

College Freshman

Student Body: The student body at my school is very unusual. It consists mostly of students from foreign countries and the university tends to be more interested in them. Except, for the few of the students that excel academically.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
