Overall Experience: Very happy that I got my undergraduate degree and will be able to provide a lifestyle for my two daughters. I am thrilled to be starting my graduate degree and I will be graduating a few months before I walk down the aisle. I hope that I can win one or a couple scholarships because it will definately help considering I am a graduate student with two young children and planning a wedding all at the same time!

Online Courses: I can't imagine it being any easier, I considered going somewhere else but this school has been good to me and I am glad I am continuing my education with them again.

Academic Flexibility: When I transferred from a traditional college it was easy and they were able to give me more than the credits they had told me they would give me.

4 College Junior

Student Body: I only interact with people via the online classes within that environment everyone has been nice and helpful.

Academic Experience: There are only two professors that I have had that were less than desirable.

Online Courses: Online classes are very unique. They offer an outline for each week, which can help you and give you and allow you ample time to complete the assignments. The classes are challenging and will make you be engaged. You have peer to peer interaction through discussion questions. Instructors are also intereacting through the discussions and through email if you wish. It's up to each individual how they handle the workload each week.

Student Body: The diversity of students are great, specially so many professional from different fields learning together bringing a lot of experience to the classroom.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
