Overall Experience: The online environment in this school is great. Students have three days to post and seven to answer to other people's posts. I have learned new interesting things at this school, and although is expensive is worth it. Instructors are there to help and their guidance pages give the students ideas on how to complete each task.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have had a few problems with my advisors in the past about my financial aid. There was a class I had to drop because of family issues; and since I dropped this class close to the end I had to pay for it out of pocket and I am still paying for it. This has been an issue for me since I am a single mom with very little income.

4 College Sophomore

Online Courses: My experience with on line courses has been great. The students easily interact with each other and the instructors help this interaction happen by posting questions for everyone to answer. The instructors are also helpful and willing to listen. My experience has been great.

Academic Experience: The professors at this school are helpful and knowledgeable, the curriculum is easy to follow, and the work load is manageable. The registration process was easy and I have had only minor problems with the advisors. I take on line classes, so there is no programs I am associated with.

Academic Experience: I think that Ashford University treats their healthcare students with respect and consideration. The workload in these classes is manageable and easy to follow. I take on line classes so I do not know of how the facilities are in the physical campus. I have had an over all pleasant experience with the workload, curriculum, and instructors.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have had an over all good experience with the flexibility of the classes in this school. I am a single mother of two and taking on line classes, and they have been extremely convenient for me. I did not have many credits to transfer to this school but the ones I did have were transferred with out hassle

Academic Experience: There is a wide range of academic studies offered at ASU. The curriculum seems very similar to my last school. The class registration process is much easier online. If you need the class, you are in.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: My specific major is liberal arts and there are no internships offered for this program. The workload seems to be average per credit hour. All of the materials are found online and are free.

3 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I transferred from a quarter based credit school to a semester based credit school. The process is still being reviewed but if it does work out as my advisor said it should, I think it was fair.

3 College Junior

Online Courses: The process of signing up for classes is similar but the classroom experience cannot be duplicated online. The posts shared are okay and even necessary but the classroom experience of sharing real time ideas does not compare for interacting/learning.

3 College Junior

Career Services: There was an alumni database online and my advisor has spoke to me about what services are offered once I graduate. However, since I am in a different state than my school I do not intend to rely on them for help.

4 College Junior

Student Body: Although I am attending Ashford University in an online only capacity, in looking at the school's website it does have a diverse base of students attending. What I really liked is that it did show diversity on it's website and offered full online degrees. This to me shows it has economic diversity because it is clearly more economical to go to school online.

Academic Flexibility: I really enjoy the syllabus so I know what is needed to be turned in and what day. I try to stay ahead a week as not to get behind. Anytime I need assistance from my instructors they are always willing to assist me.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Due to I am an online student I do not have an opinion on the computer network.

4 College Sophomore

Career Services: Due to I am still in school I am unaware of the post-grad services. However, from what I understand there is indeed a post-grad service where Ashford will assist you in finding the services you need.

College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have not been happy working with advisers here.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The cost of classes are too high, I'm researching other college that are less expensive

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: my classes are online. The curriculum is fine. The workload a little heavy, the professors have all been great.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Again, my classes are online. The workload a bit heavy, but that's ok. The professors are great.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: Overall it was great but at the beginning we had problems with my financial aid and then later with a professor.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: I really like the classroom set up. It's easy to understand and navigate. Registration is really nice. My advisor sets up all the courses I need all I have to do is get my books and attend. At least that's what they do for the Master's program I'm attending.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Seems a little high but I am doing a Master's program.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: They are very helpful and make sure you are supported every step of the way.

4 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: It takes a little bit for credits to be transferred, i am still waiting on that.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
