Academic Experience: All the classes at Ashford University are set up based on your previous education. It is easy to enroll in classes. My student adviso is spectacular. Rick is efficient, dependable, and helpful. He checks in frequently with me to see how I am doing. Rick also emails me to see if I have any questions or need help with ordering books or supplies. Rick alone boosts the school by a full grade alone!

College Freshman

Academic Experience: I Would Change the Curriculum – I would definitely change some of the classes that are mandatory to take. I feel like they are a waste of time and money.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: A Little Expensive – I think the tuition is a little bit expensive. Some of the fees were not told to me upfront and it was a bit much

College Senior

Career Services: I'm Not There Yet! I haven't gotten to this point yet, but I look forward to it when I do finally get there!

Campus Resources: Online Facilities Are Great – As an online student, I can't say that I know much about the campus facilities, but from what I see online it is great. I am able to access my student portal from any computer, granted I remember all my pass codes, and I can go to class anywhere there is an internet connection.

Academic Experience: Always Something New to Learn – Being an online student is new to me and yet there are still so many facets of it to learn. I've been in online school for almost a year now, and can still admit to that. It is unconventional but I truly enjoy being able to go to work all day and come home to do my studies in the privacy and comfort of my own room. It isn't half as embarrassing going to class in my pajamas this way either! I look forward to what my future has to offer me and to get to my specialization courses!

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Mostly Good Experience – Most of my experiences with classes have been good. I took a few where the grading was off but most were fine.

1 College Junior

Overall Experience: No Service – The school treats you like royalty when they are trying to get you to enroll then treats you like a number once enrolled. They do not communicate in any way except for email and those emails are auto generated. Customer Service is horrible and getting a manager to call you back is impossible. If you get Brianna for your student advisor, run fast!

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I'm taking online classes. I havent been to the campus. The site has an online library and you can ask the liberian questions. Its pretty good!!

3 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Transferring Credits – None of my credits transfered from the technical college i went to. I was taking up the same thing any way so i knew i was going to start fresh.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Health Care Administration. So far its a very good program. I haven't started any of the classes in my major yet but i'm looking forward to it.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Honestly my advisor registerd me for my class so I did not have to worry about having to many classes and I dont have a heavy workload.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: It Was Good – I gave them an A because they were very helpful when I needed the aid for school.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: MY SCHOOL IS PRETTY SMALL WHICH AT TIMES IT CAN BE A LITTLE DIFFICULT BUT I LIKE THE SMALLNESS BECAUSE YOU GET A ONE ON ONE WITH THE STAFF AND YOU MEET ALOT OF PEOPLE AND YOU KNOW THAT IF U NEED HELP WITH SOMETHING YOU CAN GO TO THAT TEACHER AND THEY CAN YOU GIVE U SPEACIAL ATTENTION

Online Courses: Time and Online – I was nervous but now I am more excited than ever. I have the tools right in front of me to get what I need to get done for school. The registration process was easy. The register you for your classes. My academic advisor calls and makes sure I am comfortable and have settled in my class well and with no issues.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Business Administration Major – This is my very first time attending classes online. Everything has gone well for me. I enjoy my instructors and the classes are easy if you just do the work. There is help if you need it. They are always there.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Social and Criminal Justice – Currently I am talking accelerated criminal justice courses, psychology courses, & sociology courses. The Classes are 5 weeks each and the workload is huge, but the 24/7 option allows me to work on my assignments and discussion posts anytime as long as I submit my work within the deadline which is usually by day 3 (Thursday).

4 College Senior

Campus Resources: Online Courses – I am attending Ashford University via Online courses. The classes are very informative. They are 24/7, therefore I am able to log into my classroom at any hour of the day in order to submit homework assignments or add discussion posts. The instructors are always available and supportive.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Its fun and you learn everything you need to know.

College Senior

Campus Resources: No Experience – I don't know anything about the campus. I go to school online

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
