Overall Experience: The move to Ashford University was one of the best choices I made for my college career. The staff, the courses, the materials, the financial aid officers and more are some the best and most helpful that I have experienced. The instructors are knowledgable in their fields and are most fair and most willing to help all of their students.

Career Services: I really can't answer this question. I have only been online for 3 weeks

Overall Experience: I will the university so far. I have a different advisor for everything I need. I would recomend Ashford University to anyone who want to take online classes. The staff is great.

5 College Sophomore

Career Services: Not Applicable – Again, I take my courses online so I cannot accurately answer some of these questions. Ashford is based out of Iowa, and I live in Texas.

Campus Resources: Online Classes – I take the classes online and I am very satisfied with the way the class rooms are set up.

Overall Experience: My overall experience at Ashford University has been very good. I feel that the staff is helpful and well educated. The schedule for assignments and tests are consistant so after you adjust your schedule, it is easy to keep up. My main complaint about Ashford would be the Ashford library. I have not found anything there to be useful and we are required to use it for our resources for our papers. Other than that, I couldn't really couldn't be happier.

Student Body: Dan's Peers – The students are very diverse, which makes classes more interesting, and discussion and topics even more interesting. It makes going to class that much better.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The courses are not bad, the issue I have is I have to pay high fees for books, and I need new school supplies. Other than that Student center is awesome and so is the library.

Academic Experience: I am taking Psychology classes to earn a degree to work as a social worker.

Overall Experience: My Experience – It is very easy for me to attend college now, there is no way I would be able to sit in classes when I have a family/

Academic Flexibility: Double Major – My experience has been excellent as far as the classes and what I have been able to learn these past few years. I realized that I wanted to do more for my education and future so my advisor at Ashford helped me plan for adding a second major and I will have a Psychology and Health & Wellness B.A. when I graduate in February of 2013.

Campus Resources: On-Line Education – I can take my homework with me where ever I go; Canada, Arizona, Washington, California, it is so amazing to have the freedom to take care of personal/business matters and still be on top of my homework.

I am very grateful for Ashford and the ease to get enrolled.

Student Body: Different Perspectives Help With Learning – The on-line student body is quite diverse: young people fresh out of high-school; older people coming back after years of real world experience; retired people finally following their dreams, young working parents, active military personal and their spouses. Everyone brings in a unique perspective. It's neat to learn with some many people from different backgrounds.

Campus Resources: Ashford University offers Ashford Cafe for its on-line students. It's a place where we can chat about anything with our classmates, which is nice because we do not get to see them face to face.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: Online Courses are well put together. you have a five week period to finish each course one at a time. at all times communication is open to te students and faculty to communicateand at a very fast response rate

Academic Experience: Bachlor's in Health Sciences and hope to gain my Master.s after I acheive my first goal. I enjoy my program because it allows you to focus on one course at a time, giving your full attention to one cclass can make a big difference in someones GPA. Ashford University is always on top of things so you will be left little or no questions and their programs are designed so if needed you can work without scheduling conflicts and everyone that I have had the pleasure to speak wit are very pleasant and polite.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: Network and Access to Labs and Reliability or Needs – Yes all the resources that I need is right their within our computer resources and writing center. I think that its great that we have it all on our Ashford University webpage. I think that we have some great tech support as well as resource from our intstructors as well as our TA.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I find it very difficult to find ways to understand financial aide. I don't live in the same state so I can't work on campus. I recieved a pell grant one so far, but its not enough. I don't have a car so I walk to work. I also walk several other places to get what I need accomplished. I wish they had more of an understandable programs to help single parent that are from small communities, that don't know whats out their and help us get some help for other thing than tuition. Like bills, clothes, and other household necessities. Thanks Tonia Conner Freshman, Ashford University.

Campus Resources: Reasoning for Returning School – I am a single parent returning to school after twenty years. I choose SPED because I feel that some school not all school have issues of not giving these children a fair overall choice of acheivement. I strugle working part time as a substitute teacher, janitor, and kitchen worker. I think that this enables me to get my dream of becoming a teacher as well as giving these special needs children a special chance to make their dreams come true. I think that this is the best thing that happened to me and yes I struggle I have no car. I live in a one room house with two children. I am going to make a difference in someone life like I wish that someone could help me make it easier. So I'm going to make a differnce to these kids that I didn't get the help I needed it was hard to find excpecially for single parents struggling to make it......... Thanks for listening to my story and why going to college means so much to me in my life.

Overall Experience: In most of the classes i have taken so far I have felt as I learned something from them but, there was one I felt as if the instructor had to much going on in her life to do a good job at helping me when I needed it. over all i would recomend this school to others.

Online Courses: Professor/Student Relationship – Since beginnning classes at Ashford I have taken all online classes. In every class with the exception of one the instructors have been great. I struggled a little bit with a math class because the instructor did not communicate well. I waited and waited for responses to emails asking for assistance. I had to get outside help with the class but I still managed to get an A.

Campus Resources: When I have a question that I think another student may be able to answer I go on their Ashford's facebook page. You can post questions and comments here and everyone who is enrolled in Ashford can answer you along with staff members.

Overall Experience: What Makes My School Unique – At Ashford the classes run in five week online sessions, taking only one at a time. This is convenient for me because I can focus on each class and spend as much time possible on what is happening in that class. It is also convenient for me because I am able to work on my school stuff while my kids and husband are in bed, which is the only quiet time in our house!

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
