Academic Experience: Financial Services in Business Administration – It is great. They have really helped me with scheduling. I am taking on-line courses which is very convenient. It is accelerated and the courses are usually five weeks so before I know it, I will achieved my goals of getting a BA in Business Administration. They are very accommodating and so far I have loved all of my courses.

Campus Resources: All of the above have a great effect on all students with top approval from students and staff

Tuition & Financial Aid: Finanical Aid – Their department has helped and answered every question with time and precision so that I'm never late or behind schedule.

Campus Resources: The School Overall – I like the way the academic programs and social scenes help to accommodate the student needs.

Online Courses: Getting Use to It – The interaction between students and professor is very easy going. I am not afraid to ask any questions. The work load is a little fast pace, but it is manageable. As for the students, we comment and help one another on a regular basis.

Campus Resources: Stands Out – The are the smae in many ways, but they are also unique. I like the interaction between the teacher and the students. Even though it's online, we are still very interactive and the teacher comments on a lot of our posts.

Overall Experience: I Love My School – I am completing schooling online, so I am able to complete schooling around my work schedule. It is very manageable and I am learning a lot. The students and faculty are very friendly and understanding.

Campus Resources: can not get into the conciliation to download chapters not the first time

2 College Sophomore

Online Courses: Not Fun – it is not fun at time when the system locks you out or when one teacher choose to use a different waypoint then the rest.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Rate and Review – Ashford University held my hand throughout the entire process of applying for Grants and Loans. While this school is considered on the high end of tuition costs, I feel the personal customer service is what makes it worth it.

Academic Flexibility: Wonderful Experience So Far – I like how flexible my schedule is. I have two post due on Thursday, and a quiz or essay at the end of the week. I have never attended another school, but am glad that I choice Ashford. I can easily postpone a new class for a week when I need a break.

Academic Experience: Class Registration – Once I said that I wanted to go to school there, my adviser has taken care of everything else. I love not having to worry about figuring out what all I need to take. If I need a break for a while, all I do is e-mail my adviser and she takes care of rescheduling everything within a day.

Campus Resources: The online courses are 5 weeks long. There are two discussion post required each week. Each one takes me about an hour to complete from start to finish (including reading the text). Then we either have a quiz (which are open book) or an essay (anywhere from 2pages to 6 pages). The final week the big assignment is a 8 to 10 page paper. There is a choice of what to right the paper on relating to the class. The papers are not my favorite, but overall are not bad. From what I gathered talking to multiple schools it is typical for a non-traditional school.

Student Body: I am just starting at ashford, but the psy class I'm in now we have about 60 students in the classe. And I feel like I can depend on all of them. No diversity at all.

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: ashford has a excellent library. A large database, and excellent references section.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: Diverse Group – The average student at Ashford University wears many different hats that come from all walks of life.

Overall Experience: Great Learning Experience – Ilove the flexibility that online school provides and having a new course every five weeks.

Campus Resources: Works Great – Able to access class at any time over the internet unless that are doing maintenance which then it will be out for several hours. A few times had trouble accessing the corrections sent by the instructor on essay that were turned in.

Academic Experience: Online Experience – I try to work on my class curriculum while working full-time but it can be a bit stressful at times. I sometimes work over time hours and still try to meet my deadlines on my homework for class. A few times I had to get an extension from the instructor and some have been accomodating due to not meeting the deadline or being ill from a prolonged migraine headache. Some classes are interesting and fun. Others are a requirement for the Bachelor's of Art in Social Science with Education Concentration but I still try my best anyway.

Academic Flexibility: Transfer Was Pointless – Due to uncontrollable circumstance I was withdrawn from the university of Phoenix and Ashford was the only other school that offered the type of online degree I was in search of.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Wish I Could Have Remained at the University of Phoenix – My overall experience so far is great except complications with the financial aid process. My courses are very informative and the instructors are very helpful. The financial aid department is not very helpful when questions are asked concerning the matter at hand.

Student Body: Typical Students at Our School – For the most part, I think that the students that I am in class with are sociable but could be more argumentive. I mean we are in a classroom making discussions, we are supposed to reply honestly, and I think a lot of times people hold back because they don't know if they will be in trouble for some of the comments they make. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying that people need to get online and in their class and show out or be discriminating, yet people who are more opinionated will help people to talk more open and honestly. I think that is what it takes for a useful conversation/discussion to be made and interesting.

Campus Resources: I will have to admit that by having the writing center, I can get all the assistance I need in looking at information that I need to know when it comes to writing a paper in the specific style of APA that I need for my classes. There are some great tools in the center that allow me to see the differences made in the 5th and 6th editions of APA guidelines, how to make sure my paper is wrote professionally/academically for a good grade, and there is an awesome thesis statement tool that I use each time I have to write a paper that definitely comes in handy. I really enjoy the outline layout to help before hand, too because I need all the help I can get with perfecting my papers.

Tuition & Financial Aid: For the Most part, I would definitely have to give Ashford an A in the Financial Aid Department for the simple fact that the people I have dealt with in the financial aid department are the same ones I have dealt with since I started school. Then I ended up with another financial aid adviser, but since she has been there she has made it real easy for me to get my documents taken care of and uploaded by sending attachments of what she needs. The financial aid department sends detailed and in depth messages to me and my husband when we need to submit missing information so this way we don't have to send emails back and forth to understand what is exactly needed or expected from us that they need to go in our file. It's been a very simple process for the most part. I feel like somebody when Jaye talks to us through our emails because she asks us how we are, how's class, and is very descriptive in explaining what is going on and what she needs. I am glad she and the others are courteous, too because great customer service is appreciated in every situation.

Academic Flexibility: Academic Flexibility – Ashford has been very flexible with the scheduling of courses during my time here. When I transferred into Ashford, the transfer of credits was completed in an extraordinarily short amount of time and they applied almost all of my credits which has helped in cutting down the amount of time left to finish my Bachelor's Degree in History.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
