Campus Resources: Transistion up-Grade – With the rapid growth of Ashford the powers that be are playing catchup to keep the facilities up to par. The dorms are sort of low priority as the majority of campus they intend to move to new facilities in the next 10 years. The athletic centers tend to be occupied by sports teams at the times that it would be convenient for the general student population to use. The there is a new gym and an older one that is open to students after 10pm. The student center is more of a hang out location for commuter students and those having to take the shuttle from the dorm location off campus. Campus activities are run by Hall Council and Student Government Association. They are trying to get more events going, but like other areas, they are playing catch-up to cope with the school's rapid growth. New technology is being introduced quite frequently. The library could use a little bit of a face lift and more space for general studying.

Campus Resources: Network Problems – The speed and reliability of the network is poor. The wireless access is decent, but it is typically slow and you can only receive wireless if you are in the lounges of the dorms or on campus.

Student Body: Ashford is very diverse. There are people from all over the world that attend there: Africa- Guinea, Nigeria, Brazil, Iceland, London, Germany, Canada, Malaysia, Mexico, Panama. Plus of course there are those from the united States.

Career Services: Good Question – Ashford really doesn't have anything to help you in the future. A job fair is the only thing. That is only for businesses around Clinton. Clinton is not very big so there is not a lot of job opportunity. If there was more in Clinton more people would stay around.

Academic Experience: I do like the school and the teachers. Sometime I feel the teachers aren't good at teaching and don't provide us with the best education. The computer lab is terrible we don't really have one at all. A room with about 4 computers that the students can use. They need more intramural sports and get more students involved. The word is hard to get out around campus and a lot of students don't know about certain things around campus. We need more popular news letters that students will take. I'm involved in many things around campus and we just need to have a lot more going on. It gets boring for students that aren't in any sports or activities around campus. Ashford is a growing school.

Online Courses: Able to Schedule My Time – Since,I am going to start in one week,I feel nervous because I never take a course that last for five weeks. I am used to one course or two courses for whole semester.I hope it not that hard for me because of a new experience that I would get at that school.I am going to see if I can work around my schedule,even-through I got three children and husband.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Finacial Assistant – At,this school I found is very expensive, but it would help me in my career that I want to accomplish one day. I found out that I need to take loans more so than grant.I felt it to much for me to handle, but I believe it would help me in the long run.I feel the school should have scholarships, and other grants that would able to reduce the amount of the major that I am taking at that College. That would help the school to be better for me and other students as well.

Academic Flexibility: Sutiable College to Get Into. My reason why I chose my Ash University because it sound like it would work around ,my schedule. It has my major that I want to proceed in the future with God will.I used to go to Wayne Community College. I felt that this college will give me the opportunity to accomplish my goal by believing the I can make as a teacher one day of this life.It has positive influence in what I need at that college.Where, the school before does not offer school on line and not able to complete the program

Campus Resources: Willing to Work With Students No Matter the Problem. right after I transferred to Ashford University, I has to suddenly move. For a few weeks I was without internet service, or any way to get to an area that provided it. I contacted my admissions adviser, informed her of the situation I was in and she worked with me to keep me enrolled in school. She kept in contact with me daily, sometimes 2 to 3 times a day. If it had not been for her persistence and help, I would not be still enrolled today.

Online Courses: I Highly Recommend! The work load is heavier online than in a traditional classroom. However, I love that I can work at my pace and not have to leave my home (especially in the wintertime) and go sit and listen to a lecture for hours. I am a mom with two children under 2 years old, so this allows me to work from home and not have to find a babysitter. The registration process was phenomenal and so easy, I was surprised and impressed. The staff I have interacted with have been friendly as well as helpful. I highly recommend this college for people that have taken a long "break" from college and going back or have obligations, responsibilities such as children, and busy schedules, or focused individuals that know what they want and are committed to achieving that success, but may not have the time to sit in class during normal hours.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Quality Education Made Affordable – Ashford University costs much less than their online competitors and traditional colleges and financial aide is available to all eligible students. What I appreciate most about Ashford is that they do not compromise on the quality of education just because they are more affordable. Your personal financial services adviser ensures you clearly understand and know exactly what you are paying for, the fees schedule, etc. so there are never any surprises.

Overall Experience: A Fantastic School – Ashford University is absolutely amazing! Being an online student sure has its challenges but at Ashford, there are many services and people always available to help you. The structure and consistency of the weekly assignment schedule allows me to plan ahead not only for homework but for activities in my daily life. The accelerated schedule of 5 week courses makes it easy for me to obtain my degree in a reasonable amount of time without disrupting my regular 40 hour work week; something traditional classes on campus could not afford me. Ashford's online environment is user friendly and fun to use. The class structure at Ashford of taking only one class at a time ensures that no one gets overwhelmed. I highly recommend Ashford University to everyone!

Campus Resources: No Campus – Unfortunately I am unable to attend the school campus due to the fact that I take my courses online. That being said i still think that it is a great school and they offer alot more than most schools in the same class.

Academic Experience: Internet Classes – Im a Business Information Systems major. I currently take my classes online and it is great. It gives me the freedom to be able to work fulltime and also go to school fulltime. My major provides information needed to manage organizations efficiently and effectively.[1] Management information systems involve three primary resources: people, technology, and information. Management information systems are distinct from other information systems in that they are used to analyze operational activities in the organization.[2] Academically, the term is commonly used to refer to the group of information management methods tied to the automation or support of human decision making, e.g. decision support systems, expert systems, and executive information systems.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Taking online classes are more difficult than traditional classroom experiences. Online classes take more discipline than traditional classes because of the reading and not being able to have a class discussion about the material.

5 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: I have had a lot of support from my school during the stressful task of returning to school after so many years of being home and not having the confidence to go back. The administrative staff worked above and beyond to make sure it was as simple as possible!

College Junior

Career Services: Not Sure – I have no personal knowledge about this area of service from my online college.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: Convenient Yet Busy – The ability to create one's own schedule for classroom assignments as far as time of day or night is convenient. It is also convenient that attending online college courses requires no babysitters, leave from work, or commuting. However, the classes are often accelerated which means you have a shorter amount of time to absorb and report on a subject matter but retain a normal work load and this means you stay very busy and often have little time left for other obligations - especially if there is no break between classes. There is also less student interaction involved. In my opinion it is still worth it considering the advantages of convenience and day to day self-scheduling. Students should just be aware that simply because classes take place online does not mean they are easier to complete; in many cases they may be more difficult. The registration process is quite simple and smooth with Ashford University and the instructors are quite knowledgeable and for the most part personable.

Academic Flexibility: Ashford University has been most flexible in my recent life experiences as I relocated to another state in order to care for my ill and aging father. The professors have been understanding and conducive to various situation resolutions.

Overall Experience: My experience with Ashford University has been beyond perfect. I am pleased I made the decision to attend this online college program.

5 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Ashford University has been professional and effective in assisting me with tuition and financial aid information.

4 College Student

Tuition & Financial Aid: Being a Veteran gives me an advantage. I am allowed to use my Montgomery GI Bill, so I currently have no need for financial aid. Every month my tuition will be taken care of by the VA. However, the one thing that I most appreciate about Ashford University is the one-time 60 day differential, which allows students to begin classes before making a payment. The VA will not issue you a check if you are not enrolled in school, and most schools will not let you begin classes if you have not made your first payment. I believe the education I am receiving is worth the cost of its tuition; even though I have no need for financial aid at this time, the finance department has sent me emails and given phone calls sharing their services and assistance if I decide it is needed in the future.

Online Courses: Effective Communication – Overall it is a good experience. From the non-academic point of view, sometimes it is hard to explain something in writing and it would be much easier to do so in person or even over the phone or via a live chat, but besides emailing, you don't have any other choice.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I feel much of the work given is just busy work and will probably have no 'real world correlation'. I did not like it at all that they have raised tuition prices twice since I have been with the university. Once was bad enough, but twice, that is just too much. Another problem is that my 'advisers' have also changed since I have been with the university (about one and half years). You develop a rapport with one adviser and then they just go ahead a stick you with a new one. It is at times like this, that I feel I am just a number and not an individual.

4 College Junior

Student Body: As for what I know due to dealing with online students, I know that there diverse cultures and each culture is assisted equally.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
