Campus Resources: So Far So Good. I've really enjoyed Ashford University so far. I'm taking online courses so the facilities aren't an issue, but I've really liked the set up for the courses online. The classes are interactive and there are many different ways to get help or get answers to questions I have. It's a great school!

Online Courses: The online courses differ in that they are much faster paced. All classes are only 5 weeks instead of the traditional 16 to 18 weeks. Also, there are no breaks between classes, when one ends another one starts the very next day. It is fast paced but never boring.

Campus Resources: The online enrollment is a bit different from traditional enrollment. All classes are 5 weeks long and there are no breaks except for 2 weeks at Christmas. It is definitely fast paced.

Academic Flexibility: So far I have had no problems with this school. All of my previous credits transferred with no problems. Enrolling in the online program was very easy and there was somebody guiding me every step of the way. I would recommend Ashford University to anyone looking to earn their degree online.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The education process that I have chosen, which is strictly on line, I feel that I am actually paying 1/3 less than most other on line colleges. I am learning at my own pace but still have a deadline. Basically, I think that what I am currently paying, is definitely worth my education. As for the financial aid process the people there at the school are very helpful and want you to be successful and accomplish your goal of getting into school.

Career Services: I Have Not Graduated Yet. So I Am Unsure but So Far So Good. I have not graduated yet but the free resources on the website are great.

Online Courses: Online Vs Traditional – the online courses allow me the flexibility I need to be a full-time student, a full-time mother and a full-time employer. With traditional classes it always feels like I have to give up time in one area to complete another area successfully.

Campus Resources: I attend the Online program at Ashford University. The program is unique because it is a course by course learn program. I take one course at a time for 5 weeks each. By using this technique of teaching and learning I am able to concentrate on one study at a time making it easier to follow and achieve good grades.

Campus Resources: Online Schooling Works Best for Me – The computer network at my school is awesome. Anything that I need and more is available to me at any time of the day. Very fortunate to have found this opportunity where I can be at home with my children and earn my degree. So far Ashford University's network has been easy to understand and I'm excited to be a college student.

Overall Experience: Great Great Coursework! This university has a great staff and the curriculum they had to offer was insightful, however; Financial department needs to be more personal with the students. When they changed their financial policy mid term without warning of this prior, just an email was sent out as the to change. this effected all online students, as the university's financial aid policy went from a student having stipend funds to pay for such things as internet access, computer upgrade, etc for 4 months, to no funds available for 4 months of coursework. Help me to understand folks, if I am enrolled in an online university, and part of my tuition is to either replace my computer in case of a problem, access my online courses paying monthly for the internet, and any books that are not provided by the online eclass, yet all of the funds were taken for classes that I haven't yet taken, prior 4 months, is there something wrong with that? I think so. Instead of my having to have a failing grade in a class for not being able to access the online course, or having an incomplete grade, I decided to withdraw, but prior to that i had the university to drop all of my classes they already took the funds for, so it would show in my account portal, which would make it easier to transfer over to another university without overlapping funds.

All in all great staff except that they are only following orders from their superiors, who need an overall in their financial policies.

Campus Resources: I am an commuter student and I don't feel like I get much out of anything from the school. First off parking is a hassle and I have to come hours before a class just to park. They do have the bus system but that is out of my way and the bus times don't match with my classes and work times.
I do take advantage of the library and tutor center as often as I can but they aren't that helpful. The library is out of date and there isn't many places to go study. I've tried to find quiet places all around the school to study and there aren't any.
I also feel that being a commuter that I am left out of many things and when I do try to participate the other students treat you differently. I have tried to join at least three different clubs and I havn't felt welcomed in any of them. I actually havn't felt welcomed anywhere in the school. I wouldn't recommended it to anyway unless they were getting the scholarship. Many times I have regretted choosing Ashford and not my other choice.

Student Body: No Clue – I have no idea on thisa s I do not live on campus.....

Campus Resources: In Do Not Live on Campus – I do not live on campus so can't answer the question

Overall Experience: Not Impressed – I would have to say that the Administration is wonderful when you are first starting out but after the first few classes you can hardly get your advisor to get back in touch with you. The classes are easy and I haven't had any issues with them. Wish you could purchase used books from them though, they only offer new ones and they are EXPENSIVE. They do give you ISBN numbers though which helps with purchasing books online. Teachers are not very helpful when it comes to coursework and they are more concerns with quoting where information comes from in APA format than they are of the entire paper....Not much feedback...

Career Services: So far I ma too early in my education journey to be very concern about career services, however I have had contact with that dept. and found them be helpful with my resume and cover letter, making suggestions, rewriting, templates insight o what emplorers are looking for today.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have felt that Ashford was more interested in getting my money than solving issues related my educational experience. They seem to have had a egerness to manage your funds for you which is one of the early recommendations from the finance dept.,then tie strings to when and if you receive your stipens. In the sprit of all moneies is to used to get the student every possible tool and or equipment to perform well,by putting strings, stipulations,or review processes in the way of dispursing to a student can have a adverse effect on one perfromance, however the will make sure they get their money regardless.

Student Body: School or College Days Today – Today here at Ashford all students are very accepting no matter what your history, color, or sex for this matter. I find them to be an excellent University in all aspects!

Student Body: Online Classes – I take all online classes so I don't know much about the student body but from what is available online, they have a lot of resources and things to do for students

Academic Flexibility: My experience so far with Ashford has been great. I know that if needed they would be and could be flexible.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: The fast pace and engaging lesson plans make Ashford a great choice for those who want to go to school, but have things that take up plenty of their time. I have two kids and work a full time job so Ashford works great with my schedule.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I find that they are harder because of time it takes to get answers back from instructor.

2 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: The courses are very hard and often I ask friends for prayers that I pass the course with at least a B

5 College Senior

Student Body: All of Walks of Life – Most of my classmates are people that are returning to school after a long hiatus. There are grandmothers, single parents, and most of us are juggling work, school, and families. It's difficult to say anything about ethnic diversity, as we do not see each other face to face, but the diversity in life experiences brings a wonderful element to the classroom.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Convenience Personified – For the most part, school has been free of the usual red tape hassle. It is very easy to get in touch with my academic advisor, and professors are very accessible, as well. They are a passionate bunch! When I desired to change the order of my classes around somewhat the school was accommodating of this. Transferring credits was aslso a breeze, much to my joy.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
