5 College Junior

Facilities: I do not live on campus. I attend school online only.

3 College Senior

Online Courses: I have yet to start however the process for online schools is very straigthforward and to the point

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: So far, I am enjoying the curriculum. The professors are knowledgeable and are very easily contacted if there are any questions or problems that may arise. It was easy to register and enroll in my course of study. My academic advisor walked me through each step and answered all of my questions.

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: I am majoring in the Accounting program. I was under the assumption that I would receive my Associates Degree once I reached the halfway point but did not. That is the only thing that I am unhappy about.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: the school is online so what help I am unable to receive online from other students as well as professor I receive from outsource help

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: I have wifi in my home the internet connection is excellent

4 College Senior

3 College Senior

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: Ashford offers one class a month which in my opinion is the perfect speed and rate for myself being that this is my very first time attending an online institute

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I am able to apply not only what I already know but the additional information I have received from the institute.

4 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have no complaints the financial aid representative make it the process straightforward and easy to understand.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: I love many of my instructors but there are some that have no business being instructors. THe fees and tuition is highly priced ( I am thinking to pay for their commercials and advertising costs) . I stay because its easy for me to do my classes. If I could do it over again, I would look into more schools and what they could offer me similar to Ashford.

3 College Senior

Career Services: The networking field for job appliance was at an low rate plenty did not find a career in the field of study or were unable connect with others working in there field.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I do not feel the tuition is worth the experience and classes. The science lab kit was not worth $128 which included the $20 shipping cost. I could have gotten most of the items in this kit at the local department stores! The fees for our online books is $85, why?

WHen trying to get answers my advisor is not around to talk and her emails are automated replies. I usually have to ask for a supervisor and try to get the answers and after I speak with them, my advisor calls me.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: workload is fine. One class every 5 weeks suits my needs.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I feel that some of the classes I have do not have anything to do with my specific major. THings such as Intro to Film? what is the purpose of that? I feel that when it comes to the classes we should be able to work with someone to find the right classes we need.

3 College Sophomore

Online Courses: I feel that the instructors could interact more with the students and participate with them more. I feel that many instructors need to understand more of the students needs than just shoving the information down the throats and hope for the best.

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I am an online student

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I am an online student I have not been on campus

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I have had issues with an assignment that I submitted online and it went missing and no one was willing to help me. The instructor for that class was nonexistent. She never returned any emails or attempts I had made to work with getting my assignment in. That is the only bad experience I have had. It still weighs on my mind and leaves me hesitant about the school. Many other instructors have been so very flexible and accommodating to me and my needs.

College Sophomore

Facilities: I am an online student so I have not seen the facilities.

College Sophomore

Career Services: I am not sure of the post-grad services yet. I have been more focused on getting good grades and getting my degree first.

4 College Sophomore

Student Body: The student body at my school is very diverse. Students are from all over in my online classes. I have interacted with so many and actually met some really great people online. WE help each other with classes and relate to each other on many levels. Our backgrounds and cultures are different but yet we still are similar in many ways. Some of the younger moms actually ask me for advice! My son is special needs and there are moms who also have children with needs similar to my sons. WE chat with each other online and sometimes I will get a call. I love being able to share my experiences and knowledge with others.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The best service and friendly staff to assist you.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
