Online Courses: Online Classes – I constantly recommend the classes at Ashford. I think that I have recieved a fantastic opportunity to advance my education at Ashford. My classes are 5 weeks long, and although they require me to think and be creative and knowledgeable, I do not feel restricted by my class load. I feel that the professors are fair, and that I can achieve my goal by taking it slow and easy and re-reading the material if I get confused. I look forward to meeting some of the people that I have had classes with when we come to the point of graduation.

Campus Resources: I am only familiar with the online resources that are available to me, but the library and the other resources have made it so that I can be more successful.

Career Services: Amazing Services – I do not currently use the services at the college but I know that they are available to me, and when I get to the point that I need them, my Advisor will be there to help me.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Counselors Are Great – I had no problems with the Financial Aid program, my Advisor was great and helped me with all of the details.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am very greatful to be able to qualify for financial aid. The Admissions Counselor was terrific in guiding me and walking me through step by step with the financial aid website. I don't think I would be able to go back to college for my BA, because I thought the tuition was a bit steep. But I did get to research other online colleges.

Academic Experience: Professors and Teaher Assistants – The Professors and Teachers Assistants are great. They provide you with helpful tips and information to make your class discussions and assignments go smoothly. They make the time to answer your questions either through email or through the class room board. They make your online class as comfortable for you to work with.

Online Courses: Registration Process – I had a hard time to make the decision to go back to school only because of my financial situation. However, after speaking with the Admissions Counselor, I knew it was time for me to take the step and go back to college. My Admissions Counselor was so easy to work with. She walked me through every step of the way to from the registration process to applying for financial aid. She answered all of my questions without any hesitation and gave me links to scholarships and grants. She is amazing, and I thank her for that. She continues to keep in touch with me now that I have started the online classes. She checks on me to make sure that I am comfortable with working online and continues to offer her assistance to make going back to college simple!

Campus Resources: The library is available anytime. They have quite a large database that has many links to a vast amount of data from other libraries across the country. ProQuest has been most helpful to retrieve necessary material for many of my final papers I have had to turn in for class. Ashford cafe is the typical meeting place for students to interact.

Academic Experience: Classes Are Interactive – I'm a journalism major. Every class last 5 wks. Each week we study certain material that is always interesting and challenging. We write posts for discuaaions in classroom because ours are set up online. At the end of each week we are given quizes for review of our lessons or write a paper on certain topics discussed in class. The workload is challenging and engaging in depth of comprehension. It's very interesting.

Academic Experience: Submitted on Time – The internet is my classroom. So I attend daily for class discussions. Read the required assignments and posts my discussion replys in a timely manner. The instructors are avalable through email any time. They are very helpful and encouraging when the material needs further explanation.

Online Courses: You Get What You Put in – Reach out to the professors, study the topics outside of the required materials, don't just do the minimum

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: You Get What You Put in – As long as you're reaching out to the professors, they are happy to assist you.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: New Library Is Not User Friendly – After they updated their online library, it was much more difficult to find resources

2 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: Accreditation in Question – I initially loved this school. All my previous credits transferred and they were willing to work with me. However, their regional accreditation is now in question and is being reviewed. I cannot risk my academic career on this.

Online Courses: Work Load – The information is presented in an understandable manner.

Overall Experience: The Couselors Call to Find Out How You Are Doing! The school outlines the classes and has made it easy for me to naviagte through the college studies.

5 College Junior

Online Courses: Very Easy to Follow – If you are new to online classes or a pro following the format of the classes is very easy. All classes have a very basic layout that is similar to blackboard. I have not encountered any unexpected downtime as of yet.

College Junior

Career Services: I Am an Online Student – I am a junior and an online student, so while I may be able to use Career Services, I have not taken advantage of Career Services as of yet.

2 College Junior

Student Body: Kind of Similar to Pheonix – I am disappointed with the classmates I have for the most part. Only maybe 3 out of a class of 30 have a college level writing ability. The others all use internet slang and improper grammar.

College Junior

Campus Resources: I Am an Online Student – It is hard to gauge the Campus Resources as I have yet to visit the campus, I am a distance learner.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I love the 5 week class structure, however getting funding for the classes was a bit of a hassle as a transfer student. After a month of back and forth it was all straightened, but I would not want to go through that again!

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Our weekly assignments, discussions and reviews are provided with all instructions and assistant students need to prosper.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am studying Environmental Science, succ my Instructors are awesome, always well prepared to instruct and provide all the help needed for their students to succeed.

4 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: Pricy but Affordable – I have been able to view my statement and I can see that the classes are pricey, but considering they are 100% online they are reasonable. payment plans are affordable and someone will work with you to help you out as much as possible and will send you in the right dirrection such as sites like this that may possibly be able to help to pay for your tuition.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
