Academic Flexibility: No Hassles – the reason I chose this school is because a friend of mine referred me. It was the right fit for me because the classes were only five weeks long. That way it would be easier for me to remain focused on my studies without giving up.

Student Body: Online Students – I can only speak from the online perspective. They are individuals that are focuseed on work and family life while attempting to further their education. it is not always common that the students have time to communicate with one another.

Student Body: I dont know them personally, but I do know they are diverse in Age, Gender, Ethnicity, and the way they think.

Academic Flexibility: Great Flexibility – The school had me turn in any transcripts and military schooling I had and applied it towards my degree plan. They are very understandable if an event arrises that prevents you from going to school and work with you to prevent any penalties in financial aid or probation periods. I think they are the easiest faculty and staff i have ever delt with.

Overall Experience: I am a little older so its all about the learning and getting that Bachelors degree. The military Office personell were easy to work with and helped me get started and also to get to where I am now. The teachers and instructors had a wealth of knowledge that is helpful when turning in assignments. I am happy with what I am learning and what I am acheiving. I like my school.

Academic Experience: Courses Are Applicable to the Real World – The course that I am taking at Ashford University are applicable to the real world and make me a better global citizen by informing me about current issues.

Campus Resources: Flexible Online Learning – Ashford University is a great school for non-traditional students because of its online learning program. Students take one course for 5 weeks and there are minimal participation requirements to meet. The program makes it easy for a mother, like me to finish a degree while not taking away from the rest of life.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Well Worth It!! I am glad I stumbled across the financial aid process. For years, I have been tormented by not achieving my degree and searched endlessly for a solution. With this experience, I plan to achieve something that has eluded me for years. The only thing that will be better than achieving my degree is having the satisfaction of my wife and kids seeing me achieving my degree.

Academic Experience: Adult Development and Discussions – Being my age and what I have been through in my life made this class much easier for me. I have been able to accept my life and the things that i have gone through and no that everything that has happened in my life is not my fault. I know that God has allowed things to happen so that I can get my degree to be able to help others who are going through or have gone through similar things in their lives. My instructor and my teaching assistant have been very helpful in their responses to mine and the others in the class's discussions. I believe I have made a good decission to enroll in Ashford University.

Student Body: We Have a Diverse Population of Students at Our School. Our school has a diverse group of people, both in teachers as well as students. We have those fresh out of high school to the working single mom to the gay community. All races interact together to create a unique learning enviroment. Because we are a mixed group of people, this creates a wider band of knowledege and opinions in the classroom. Ultimately, we are all there to better ourselves so we can better our future.

Overall Experience: I Am Very Happy With the Choice I Made. I am very happy with Ashford University. They respond in a timly manner to answer any questions or concerns I may have. Academic Flexibility: I Love the Flexability – I am in an online class at my school and I love the flexability they have to offer. I can work on my class assignments around my personal schedule.
And I love the support I get with any questions or concerns I may have.

Online Courses: I was a little skeptical at first, when I decided to take on line courses. I didn't know what to expect. My Admissions Counselor did an excellent job with making me feel comfortable. I've so far completed my first course and I did very well. I enjoy the whole set up on line. It's basically self explanatory, a person shouldn't have any problems with navigating around the classroom. I look forward to reading the responses of my peers. It's almost therapeutic.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Military Friendly – Ashford University is very military friendly. I am a milspouse, and they have discounted tuition available as an active duty spouse, as well as additional services such as free books for the entirety of the degree and no technology fees. I received the pell grant, and my advisor has been very helpful to explore all my options when it comes to continuing my degree. With all the help they have given me as a military spouse, it was a very clear choice that I wanted to continue through the end with this school.

Academic Flexibility: Some Transferred Credits – I got some credit for my previous schoolwork. For instance, I think I only had to take a couple general classes and the english exam. All of the other classes I am taking are in a different major than I previously chose at another school. I think that they accepted a lot of the transfers that they could, but I wish I could have gotten more credit because I had already gone to school for more than 4 years.

Overall Experience: If you are working full-time as I am, and wished you could go to school full-time as well, with Ashford, you can! They provide online classes that are each 5 weeks long. One class qualifies as full-time. The work varies and a lot of help is available if you need it. I believe that they are less expensive than other schools, and if they have a partnership with your employer, you get a discount. It's a good school and I would recommend it to anyone who is willing to work hard to get a degree.

Student Body: Diversity MAJOR – I am an online student enrolled at Ashford University. The greatest and most exciting part of my experience at Ashford is the capability to interact with persons from all over the country, all over the world! I have met many knowledgeable people though my classes at Ashford University. The most wonderful part about the diverse group of people I interact with on a regular basis is that even though no two students are identical, we all share the common goal of success! Ashford University is setting us all up for just that! I am so excited at the start of each new class. I never know who I will encounter in the classroom, but that is what excites me! Every day is a new day, which I welcome with an open mind and an open heart!!!!

Career Services: I have not completed my undergrad degree yet; therefore I have not experienced or utilyzed post grad services

Tuition & Financial Aid: Financing Your Education – Tuition at Ashford is rather expensive, but not different from any other online schools since digital materials are included as part of the tuition. The financial aid office contacts the students through email and makes you aware of any problems. The best way to obtain information about financial aid assistance is to talk with your admissions advisor and she will supply all of the necessary information.

Campus Resources: Ashford University has an exceptional staff; particularly the student advisor. If there are any problems with courses or if one is in need of technicasl support, help is a phone call away. I was concerned about taking classes on line and worried that I would not get the campus experience. I was definitely wrong about that. I often recieve calls from the administrative class inquiring about how I am doing with my classes and If I am in need of anything. The staff is very personable and my instructors are phenominal.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
