Overall Experience: Love My Choice – I am very satisfied with all aspects of the school. The advisers, professors, learning experience, and the student interaction are great.

Campus Resources: Professors Involvement With Students. Is seams to me that the professors truly care of the students. They can be very understanding and even lenient for the right reasons. They want you to succeed in all and are constantly commenting on your work.

Academic Experience: Early Childhood Curriculum – The early childhood program is very exciting and packed full of knowledge. I find myself using many of the new theories when homeschooling my own children.

Career Services: I Do Not Know Yet. As I have not graduated yet, I do not know how the alumni network works. However, I do know that Ashford is working to better its Career Center.

Academic Flexibility: Did Not Choose Classes – The main reason that I wanted to go to this school is because it was close to home and a lot cheaper than most schools. The one thing that I did not really like was when I had to sign up for my classes I was not able to get a choice in what I was taking, the lady there chose all my classes for me.

Overall Experience: Good School – I do like my school, there are a lot of people but everyone knows everyone and I really like that about it. I would say that I have college pride because I am on the dance team and participate in dress up days. What makes my school unique is that people come from all over to be there but we all seem to have that close connection where we can walk down the hall and know half of the people.

Campus Resources: All the Support You Could Ever Need. The advisors are very friendly and extremely supportive. They call to check on you at least once a week and return calls asap so you never feel lost. They really want to see you succeed.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Quality Service and Quality Education – I feel the education I'm getting is worth the costs. The financial aid advisor was very helpful and very supportive through the whole process. All costs and fees were explained up front. All information on what forms i needed to fill out were emailed to me with the links and a phone call followed to make sure I didn't need any help.

Campus Resources: Because I attend an online college there is a critical need for the network to be up and running. There are often times that the student portal is shut down for maintenance, however tech support does an excellent job at making sure this does not happen during peak working hours. The only problem that I have with the network is that it times out after ninety minutes of "in-activity". This becomes a hassle because you have to log back in and start the process all over again. However, it does make sure that your work is saved from the last entry when taking quizzes.

Online Courses: I was very excited to take online courses, but I was not fully aware of how much online courses would cost compared to traditional classes. The work load seems to be somewhat lighter but more concise. I felt like I needed to put more effort into my assignments that I did when attending a traditional college. Overall, I am enjoying my online college experience I just felt like there were some things that I could have been more informed about, such as cost and the rigor of my course load.

Tuition & Financial Aid: It is very easy to obtain financial aid and student loans to finance your education with Ashford. I find that in the 2 years that I have been attending they have increased tuition twice in the last six to eight months. Because of the tuition increase I am experiencing short falls in meeting my financial obligation. I feel that it would be more professional to lock tuition rates for the remainder of the semester to insure students receiving loans and financial aid will be able to continue to meet their financial obligations.

Academic Experience: Effective Online Curriculum – I think the online curriculum could be more detailed then it is. It does not offer practical ways to apply the information being learned to the real world. I also find that they do not offer intern positions to online students, we are left to find these things on our own. I do not feel confident that I will be able to find a job in the career field I have chosen due to the speediness of the courses. I think they need to offer more options to online students and a more detailed courses longer than a month long course

Tuition & Financial Aid: I was already familiar with the process, but my advisors made it really easy for me. They gave me a check list of things to do and updtaed me when they were completed. They often asked me if I needed any help or if I had any questions. The financial aid portion of enrolling in the program was one of the easiest things I have to do for this degree.

Student Body: The student diversity at Ashford is wonderful. There are people of all different backgrounds that attend. There are the traditional younger students, to the later in life, working, family type students. We all have the same goals but we are so different. There are epople who live all over the world attending class, these are military families and it is often interesting to hear about where they are and what their experiences have been. This school has a little a bit of everything and everyone.

Overall Experience: Good Choice – I graduated with my Bachelors from Ashford and I have to say my over all experience with them has been good. I am now doing my Masters with them and everything is going well. In fact I have more interation now then I did with my Bachelors. The teachers are really helpful and know what they are teaching. My classes go like clock work and I always know what is expected of me.

Overall Experience: Overall, my experience has been amazing. The professors are easy to contact and give feedback in a timely manner. The recent structure change has also improved my experience.

Campus Resources: Online Degree – The online degrees are excellent at Ashford. However, I feel that the teachers don't really dig into the "discussion board" too much. You get points for participating with minimal requirements

Academic Experience: Classes Are Great – My classes so far in my experience have been great

Academic Flexibility: Everything Transferred – I go to school online so that I can continue to work and everything transferred from University of Phoenix. My advising team is also great and responds to my questions and concerns right away. I have not found anything about this University that would lead me to give them less than what I did.

Campus Resources: A Wonderful Experience – The resources available from Ashford are well-maintained and very accessible. If there is ever a problem, it is handled immediately and to the best of everyone's abilities.

Academic Experience: Academic Experience – My experience at Ashford University was great. I was able to take all of the classes I needed to complete my degree and most of the teachers were extremely helpful. I love the online format as I know what to expect with each class and I can manage my family, work, and school during each class.

2 College Senior

Student Body: I do not feel comfortable rating the student body. I did not have any interaction with anyone outside my class and often felt as though other students did not put in effort towards their degrees.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: Online Classes Verse Traditional Classes – Online classes work extremely well for me, since I am a wife of an active duty soldier. The military demands a lot of time and movement, thus an online college offers me the ability to complete my degree where ever the Army moves us. I think for an independent worker who is motivated, online classes are a plus. One can work on their class when ever it fit into their schedule, days, nights, weekends, at home, work or the park.

3 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: tuition has gone up over $100 per credit in the past year. A steep hike when you are budgeting expenses. The education is worth it, but since I do most online, a discount for not being in the classroom at the school would be nice.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Academic Flexibility – online classrooms are great. My counselor is very helpful, contacts me often just to check in and see if there is anything she can help me with. Books are easy to order, but more online would be nice.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
