Online Courses: Peer-To-Peer Interaction – I would have thought it difficult to build a conversation with classmated you dont know about, but in ashford university the students are all encouraged to interact with one another. We provide positive feedback to one another and we can also give ourselfs negative but useful information. teachers encourage it and this is a school were I think the students do take advantage of this. It is very helpful.

Academic Flexibility: Very Un Organizeed – you dont want to know they need to put stipends on a card

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have been back and forth over this, there are benefits and drawbacks. There are no quizes, however, there are no interactive discussions between students to help develop dialouge amongst intellectual stimulations. There are online forums, however, sometimes they are filled with mindless thoughts of people who are simply participating because they are required by grade.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: Vehicle for Profit – while they may spend millions in servers and have somewhat f decent courses, I will say that customer service sucks and sometimes it takes days to get a call back if at all.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: The classes are set for the online classes, I have to take certain classes, and the advisers set them. Though I have had very good advisers, and one really bad one.

College Sophomore

Campus Resources: I take all of my classes online. The computer network at the school has no revelance to me

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Although I'm just getting started with this school, my advisor, financial aid advisor, and everyone else i've talked to so far has been nothing short of exceptional to answering all my questions and helping me start my way to a better life :)

College Freshman

Campus Resources: I am not on the university campus, schooling online, so i'm not sure!

2 College Junior

Academic Experience: Professor Availabity – The professors are very hard to get in contact with.

2 College Junior

Overall Experience: Willing to Give It a Chance – I may have some issues with the advisers at Ashford, but I'm willing to attempt to give the school a try.

Student Body: Working Class – This school caters to those students who have jobs.

1 College Junior

Career Services: No Resouses – I attend online and I am not aware of what the career center offers me.

5 College Senior

Student Body: All Different Ethnicities and Working Status – Ashford gives people of all backgrounds and current situations to further their education. The student body is full of all different ethnicities, full time employed workers, unemployed workers, stay at home mothers or fathers, single parents, and those in the military.

College Senior

Career Services: Still Attending – The Ashford Career Center has assisted my in preparing a good resume while attending school; however, I am still a student so I can't respond to post-grad services.

2 College Senior

Overall Experience: Very Pleased With Choice – I enjoy attending Ashford; it offeres the program that was is best for me and my career goals with the opportunity of doing it online. My instructors and advisors make themselves available to the students at all times. I transferred from another school to Ashford and do not regret my decision at all.

Overall Experience: The Right Choice – I love Ashford University and I am positive that I made the right choice to continue my education here. The staff is supportive and they always call and check on you. They encourage each individual to ask questions. I love the environment at this school. It is amazing and I would recommend it to everyone.

Career Services: Career Center – I have been told upon graduating that the career center is there to help in placing students in the career best suited for their degree. Ihave not graduated yet, so I am not sure if that is true, but I have heard from others that it is.

Student Body: Dedicated Individuals – My school consists of working-class people, as well as single parent individuals with full-time jobs and families. Many of the students juggle between their responsibilities of being parents, full-time students, and having a full-time job. Socializing is something that is nice to do if time allows for it, however, it is not high on the prioritizing list. Most of the student body is working on a degree to better the career opportunities and the lives of their families. They are committed to bettering themselves.

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: The Availablity of Upper Level Management – The school does not take suggestions from students well and family emergencies are not considered into factors such as being late.

5 College Senior

Academic Experience: The Willingness of the AA's to Work With You – The AA's want the students to succeed and continue their education with success stories..

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: Sometimes the Instructors Are Hard to Each – I believe Ashford has the best interest of the student.

4 Recent Alumnus

Student Body: A Good Group of People – I took only online courses with Ashford University and only personally met a couple of students who live in the same city as I. As such, I cannot provide accurate personal information on the vast majority of Ashford students. This being said, I "met" numerous students online at Ashford who were very serious about their education and could accept a good critique of their work without being offended or upset. THese same student could also provide a good critique of my work. It was obvious that many students had prepared for the weekly work by reading the required materials and putting a great deal of effort into their initial discussion posts as responses.
It appeared to me that there was major diversity among Ashford students and many individuals were far more open about their personal, emotional, and financial situations than I would have been considering that most of us had never met in person.

Career Services: Did Not Use This Service. I knew that the Career Services at Ashford University were available but I did not use these services because I was completing my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and there are not many career options available for one with this particular Bachelor's degree.
I am currently trying to find a university to earn my Master's degree and will likely use the Career Services for that university if they are available.

4 Recent Alumnus

Academic Flexibility: The Ease of Taking Courses, the Frustrations of Ever-Changing Advisors – Scheduling or re-scheduling courses at Ashford University was extremely easy. I maintained a good rapport with my academic advisors and they seemed to have no problems with rescheduling courses.
My only complaint might be that I had numerous academic advisors. It seemed that every time I became accustomed to an academic advisor and he/she was familiar with me and my academic progress, suddenly the advisor would be changed and I would have to start again.

College Senior

Campus Resources: The only computer network I have is in my own house.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
