Tuition & Financial Aid: The education I am receiving have opened up many doors for me. The teachers are easy to communicate with, the timing of the courses offered are within my busy schedule, making going back to school a task that can be completed without having to take breaks in-between.

Online Courses: I have been to other online schools and Ashford University is ahead of the game. Their online classes are packed with options, but easy to use. If you need help with using a feature online, like the library, there are many sources to help you use the library to find a specific book. They also have apps for smart phones and tablets that allow you to stay up to date with class discussions and grades.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Overall, Ashford University's tuition is very competitive, compared to other top online schools. Online schoolilng is expensive, averaging about $300 per unit, but I did research on the pricing for a bachelors degree on several schools, and Ashford was a couple thousand dollars less than other schools.

Career Services: Have not experienced that part of Ashford University.

Student Body: Most of the students at Ashford University have families and have a secular job. They are busy working adults trying to get a degree to better their lives. It is mostly school related when it comes to interacting with you fellow class mates, but always interesting to read what they have to say in the discussion boards.

Campus Resources: Since I attend on-line they have on-line resources the classes are 5 weeks, you submit 2 posts a week and on week 2 you submit a 2-3 page paper and also on week 3 you do the same and in week 5 you will always have the final paper which is usually 8-10 pages you also have a weekly quiz.

Student Body: So far, I have had one course that was very open to diverse views about religion. Many of the students opinion were not similar but it never got to a point where anyone seemed aggressive in their responses. Our economic and ethical perspectives will always differ since we live and grew up in different parts of the world. Still we come together as one and discuss them in a professional manner.

Online Courses: When I first started at Ashford University I thought it would be difficult to register. However, I got through the process in less than a week time before beginning my first course. The workload is no different than attending an actual classroom. Overtime, managing school time with our other responsibilities get easier. In my opinion, the benefits of taking online classes is that I get to fully concentrate on my school work from home without anyone around to distract me. Sometimes, we have to isolate to be great. In interacting with my classmates online, I always receive positive responses and energy. We are not afraid to point out the flaws of each others' work and see how it can be improved. Most of the professor that I have worked with are always available to assist and guide us with our course studies.

Academic Flexibility: Ashford is okay, I like UOP better but I hate that we had group work.

Campus Resources: Computer system is really not good. It logs out the student after certain time. Instead of saving your post on a draft, it deletes the post.

Campus Resources: Ashford support military members by providing free e-books to family and service members.

Campus Resources: Student center has many resources that will help students improve their grade. This allows students to get tutor if they are in need.

Campus Resources: I am an online student. Not sure of what's exactly available on campus. However, the online resources are wonderful.

Campus Resources: I am an online student. The only resources I use are online. However, everything I have access too is wonderful.

Campus Resources: I am an online student. There are a few rare occasions that I can't access my material or the student portal. However, I would have to say 99% of the time, I have not had any problems with it.

Academic Experience: I think the Health Science Administration program at Ashford is a great program. The workload is heavy at times, but if you know how to manage your time, you will do fine. The cirriculum is perfect. All of the classes that I have taken for my major have been right in line with the course of study. As for internship/job opportunites, there is a section of the requirements for my major that is set aside for an internship.

Student Body: Everyone is very understanding with all aspects of your culture.

Campus Resources: Everyone that I had contact with from entering school to the students were very helpful. If you asked them a question and that certain person did not know the answer they would tell you how to get a hold of the person that would help you. The class site is very easy to use.

Campus Resources: I attended on-line but what I see on the web and read in their articles their campus is great.

Academic Experience: I havent taken classes yet that pertain to my degree yet. I have just taken core classes such as history, math, and english. From what I have experienced from those classes, I have learned much.

Online Courses: I have never been in a regular college class setting. From what I have experienced at Ashford, I have learned much and enjoy how quickly I am burning through my core classes. The course loads are a little time consuming, and somtimes communication with the class instructor can be a little difficult.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Ashford University's Tuition & Financial Aid are like no other university's. The closest schools are the schools I previously attended, Peru State College and Western Governors' University. However, Ashford is on a completely different level as is the case with some universities. What sets Ashford apart though from other universities especially the top known universities, for example Harvard and Yale, is the affordability of its tuition in relation to the high quality of instruction. Secondly, Ashford has a dynamic staff comprised of many sharpshooters and experts in the financial aid arena. The fact is, the financial aid package that is offered at Ashford will propel one beyond the original intended measure one set out with, that is, financial aid is qualitative and not quantitative at Ashford.

Academic Flexibility: The main reason I have awarded Ashford with an A+ is the fact that my academic advisor has been right on the academic money ball with every facet of my academic journey. I am into the second course of my major currently and have 42 credit hours left to go. I am a little older than the average undergrad and have taken my time in finishing my degree. However at the pace I am going at now, I truly believe that within the next year and a half, Lord willing, I will be walking across the stage in Clinton, Iowa, receiving my B.A. in Applied Linguistics in hand. Life's goals, dreams, hopes, and ambitions are more tangible and more real at Ashford. One doesn't receive a false sense of hope from the staff, faculty, and professionals at Bridgepoint Education and Ashford University. I plan on applying to top Ivy League Graduate Schools and believe with all my heart that these goals are attainable now, much more than previously. Why Ashford? Why not.

Academic Experience: When I took Corrections as one of my courses, I really knew the objectives to this class. It was kind of easy only because I work in a State Prison in California. My major is in Corrections and this will help me improve in my job career.

4 College Senior

Academic Experience: I had a very good experience in this class (Corrections). I did lost internet connection at one time and I did notified my instructor using my work e-mail and my work was submitted one day late but did not get points taken off. I strongly suggest communicating with your instructor on anything even though he/she doesn't response in a timely manner, at least he/she will see the date it was submitted.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
