Online Courses: For the most part I have been pleasantly suprised by how easy it is to naviagate the online classrooms. I love the set up and the fact that things remain simialr from class to class so there is some sort of consistency to it all.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I have become extremely frustrated with the constant rises in tuition costs and fees. However, I do understand that you get what you pay for and a quality education just is not cheap. I think I will feel better about it once I have my degree.

Academic Experience: From the first class and into the class I am currently in instructors and my SA have been excellent. When i have questions and an answer is not immediately available my SA will look into it and get back to me as fast as possible. When issues have arose with assignments being turned in or issues with the Waypoint system, they are handled quickly.

Online Courses: Ashford is the second Online University I have attended and it far and away blows the other school out of the water. I took a few months off for personal and family reasons but am now coming back to continue my second year at Ashford. I have no complaints but its not perfect so it gets a B+ from me

Online Courses: I was skeptical about taking online courses since I wasn't sure they would be accepted as real classes. After talking with my Student Advisor and Enrollment Counselor I was assured they were just like classes held in classrooms. The ease of not ahving to go to a school and being able to work from home on my time was the final point that got me to doing classes at Ashford university.

3 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: I gave Ashford a B+ because they do have a tendency to switch personnel around who deal with your FA and class schedules. A few times this has delayed my FA almost causing a drop from school.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: The computer network does have hiccups now and then. However, many, if not most, of the instructors understand. I think the major issue is with assignments. You really need to keep an eye on this to make sure it is still in the basket and didn't disappear.

Student Body: AU Students – I have met so many different people since enrolling in AU. The students range in age from high school grads to senior citizens. The diversity of the student body is vast and actually helps teach you about other cultures, beliefs, and values that you may not be totally aware of.

Campus Resources: Since I am an online student, I do not know what it's like to be at Ashford's campus. However, the overall experience with communicating with staff has been great!

4 College Senior

Student Body: There has been no one individual that I have communicated with that was remotely rude or disrespectful in fact they were just the opposite.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: After completing almost three masters programs, I can say with confidence that there was no difficulties experienced in the whole process of applying, attending, or graduating from this university.

4 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition and financial aid at Ashford University is affordable in comparison to some of the other universities. Therefore, I think the education I am receiving is worth the expense. If there are any questions, I usually am able to receive answers.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: By graduating from a previous college, a majority of my credits were transferable. I chose Ashford because I wasn't hounded by its new student admissions. They were very helpful and allowed me to make the final decision without any pressure. The majority of my previous instructors were very knowledgeable and interactive with the class, despite the fact it was online.

3 College Senior

Campus Resources: I do online classes which helps me be able to work and get a degree. I found it much easier on me to do online class vs. be on campus. Due to the crazy hours I work.

Academic Experience: The work load is average to low. All the assignments are written which makes it a little repetitive. The information presented can be beneficial for some without any experience. If you have experience than it can be a little repetitive. Some of the directions can contradict other directions and point can be lost. Some of the grading on written papers can be a little unfair and points lost. Let me clarify by saying I have a 4.0 GPA.

Campus Resources: We have awifi throughout ourschool and its better than having to plug it into a wall. But its annoying to have to type in our username and password to even access the interent. So its okay but not the greatest.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I am a psychology major and my classes are never boring. I am starting to get into the classes where its all about psychology and they are so interesting. Alos, the professors are fun, funny, and easy to ask questions. The workload is typical papers and reasonabl quz and test dates.

4 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: The professors are always there to help with a good student to teacher ratio. Whenver i have a problem or if i have to miss class for a softball gamem they always fill me in, in what i need to do. Its a small school, but it gets the job done. Its a great school and its a home away from home.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Every time I have an issue, it is always resolved in the most professional, caring manner. I am never delayed on anything. My advisor keeps me up to par with how I'm progressing and the feedback from my instructors helps tremendously.

Tuition & Financial Aid: As far as getting a great education. I am definitely getting it. I am getting my money's worth education. I got some financial aid which really helps. When it comes to calling the financial aid office I am never nervous to give them a call. They answer every question I have. One tip I would give would be to always do your financial aid on time. I believe everything is well explained when it comes to the expenses.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
