Facilities: I feel that my school does not set itself apart from other schools but rather implements every aspect of all schools within its curriculum by, first creating a diverse staff, second instilling inspiration with sincere concern, motivating with positive feedback, and efficiently monitoring to effectively relay feedback. It is my honor and pleasure to call, Ashford University, my school.

Academic Experience: Majoring in Public Administration is very rewarding at Ashford University, not only since Forbes supports my school, but on many other different aspects in regards to learning and acceptance of opinions. At my school, while engaging in my studies, I found that even if my thoughts are not the same as my text book or instructor, I still feel that my opinion is valued and taken into consideration. The faculty at my school are caring, understanding, and above all, concerned for everyone's well being. I honestly appreciate and love my school.

Academic Experience: Ashford University offers the best, Instructors / Professors / staff, to help each student with whatever inclusive or exclusive problem we encounter.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Everyone at my school is polite and helpful. They are the most encouraging and considerate staff I have ever worked with in any earlier similar setting. I enjoy online school very much.

Campus Resources: I am not living on campus; however, the resources online are absolutely helpful with writing papers.

Facilities: The online experience is very unique and our textbooks come in various forms such as an electronic copy and textbook forms in which you can purchase or rent through the school's library. Resources are all available through the student's library.

Overall Experience: I would choose this school again; however, if I found a school to offer scholarships then I would not choose Ashford. The academic advisors that I have had were great and still are. They called me multiple times to check on me and will return my phone calls or emails when necessary.

Student Body: All my courses are online and the school is not in the state I reside in.

Academic Experience: Healthcare Administration has been a great degree program. However, I feel I took a few courses that were unnecessary and wasteful amount of money. I have learned about leadership and management traits and theories, how to be effective and efficient in communication and working as a team is very important in the health care sector. In addition, learning the rules, principles, and ethics behind health care along with the laws involved.

Academic Experience: It's okay because I do not schedule my courses but I have once course for 5 weeks and then another one begins. Professors are well experience within the course they teach.

Online Courses: Online schooling is very unique compared to classrooms. I miss the face-to-face interactions I had with others but online schooling is the best way to complete your studies if wish to work, study on your own time, and be responsible along with disciplined. Online courses involve a lot of writing and typing. In one week I will write anywhere from 6-8 discussion posts (~300 words each) and 5 papers with 4 of the papers need to be at least 2-3 pages long and the 5th paper having to be 8-9 pages long (excluding title and reference page in APA format for all papers). It is also great to get feedback from teachers at the beginning and end of the course as they comment back to you on something he or she has in common or comes off as very caring and kind.

Career Services: I am not graduated yet; therefore, I have not looked to see what services my school offers to post grad. I do know the school has an alumni network but I do not know anything in regards to that.

Academic Flexibility: Due to it being an online school, there are two days when assignments and posts are due (Thursday and Monday). Therefore, it is nice to know to set a schedule around due dates. I transferred from nursing school (out of state) and was able to transfer most of my credits (all but clinical). I did have to get copies of a few courses I took to show school what the course taught but it was all worth it.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The value I am paying seems like it increases each academic period in which it has gone up. However, I do feel like I am learning a lot but going in debt in the mean time. On the other hand, financial aid is very supportive on the phone but they are slow and not accountable to do speedy disbursements or process my financial aid package. My advisor is great and I go through him to reach financial aid. It seems to go faster. However, my school does not offer any scholarships and I wish I would have known that before choosing the school.

Career Services: I have not graduated yet so I can not describe the quality of post-grad services.

Student Body: No one really knows to much about anyone because we never really get to know anyone due to everything being done online.

Facilities: I am not able to really answer this because I am not a on campus student.

Academic Flexibility: Seems like sometimes it is hard to get things done when you them.

Overall Experience: I find that it is nerve wracking when you never really know who your advisors are because they tend to change every month or so and most of the time you never know it until you need something and you can not contact them. Seems like there is a lot of times that I will submit a question to an advisor, knowing that it could take up to 48 hours to hear back, and never hear back from them or when you do the problem has already been handled.

College Senior

Campus Resources: I can not answer this because I am online student. But I can say that the online library is not user friendly at all.

Academic Experience: I have taken just about all of the courses for my major in Psychology the workload was not to hard but there was times that it was hard to understand everything and was hard to get help at times. As of right now I have not been about to do any kind of internship with my degree.

3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I was not able to go right into what I am wanting to do through Ashford because it is not offered here so I am getting my BA in another field that will also help me.

4 College Senior

Online Courses: I feel that for me the online courses was a good ideal because I have been able to do my courses around my everyday stuff. The workload is not to hard to keep up with on a timely with the only problem that I have really found is that if you have a question regarding a discussion or an assignment you are not able to get the help right then from your instructor or the other students on a timely manner. It is always nice to be able to read what the other peers have to say about the way you interpret things because not everyone is going to interpret things the same way so by reading the things that others have to say you can have a better understanding.

4 College Junior

Career Services: they offer emails and bulletins and newsletters that have all sorts of opportunities for new students and graduating seniors. I feel that most of these I will be pursuing as I move further in reaching my destination.

Overall Experience: I feel that from the beginning in choosing my major to actually enrolling and getting the funding through grants and loans this school made everything easy and once I started my first class I was like why didn't I do this 30 year ago.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
