Campus Resources: My school has an amazing scholarship programs for students going to school on campus versus online. It's provided a much easier, less stressful college experience!

4 College Junior

Academic Experience: Overall I have few and only minor complaints. Occasionally I have a professor that is a little slow to respond to questions online but I have never had a professor ignore my questions outright. At times the workload is heavier but I should expect that.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The assistance of the school with the application process is tremendous, making applying for financial aid simple and painless. The tuition and fees were clearly explained to me repeatedly to ensure I was aware of them. I have had no unpleasant surprises.

Student Body: Ashford has a diverse student body. My experience is that there is culture democracy and sensitivity here. Interaction in this learning environment has been both innovative and creative resulting in new ideas, perspective and an understanding of how to communicate in a clear and concise manner with a variety of different social, psychological, philosophical, and other persuasions.

Academic Experience: The professors are great, class registration is easy; however, I wish their curriculum included a more boarder selection of subjects. I also wish that the specialization subject, and time frame consisted of longevity. Ashford specialization subjects are not long enough!

4 College Junior

Student Body: Take online classes; however, the students are very excited about there education at Ashford. They are also very friendly and engaging online.

4 College Junior

Career Services: I really can not comment on how good or not the career services are, except that they offer a lot of informational workshops; however, I have not yet graduated; therefore, I do not want to speak until I attempt to find a job, and then I'll determine how helpful the program is.

4 College Senior

Student Body: Everyone for the most part are friendly and helpful. Despite people having families to raise, many find the time to help other students along the way.

5 College Junior

Academic Experience: Very good job in this area. This are very kind and patient.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I don't agree with the amount of money for the online course. I don't think that online courses should be so expensive. We are not going to a lecture or spending time in a classroom environment. Yes we do have teachers, but it would seem that they do not have to devote as much time to teaching an online course as a traditional professor would on a campus.

3 College Senior

Student Body: Classes are solely online, but reading introductory postings of classmates gives a little insight into my classmates. I have come across people from all over the world, all ages, and a variety of family life.

5 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: My learning experience has been wonderful at Ashford University. I have gained new knowledge, insight, and skills that will be a huge benefit for me when I pursue a new career in Counseling. The faculty, admissions, and students provide a very relaxing educational environment.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: The classes are generally average size. The work load is decent. The professors are educated in their subjects and take a real interest in asking us questions that relate to the topic of what we think. The fairness of grading is good. They stick to their grading curriculum.

4 College Freshman

Academic Experience: I am going for HealthCare Administration. I just started 6 months ago and its going really well so far. Although, not having fasfa cover all the expenses is quite ridiculous if you ask me.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
