Online Courses: I like on-line classes because it doesn't pressure me into having to actually attend a classroom. In some classes my peers may never post responses to my discussions which can be discouraging however, the pass three classes for me has been great with the instructors and classmates.

Facilities: I was a hands on learner before attending AU. Now, that I am on-line I have grown so much from the programs offered such as ALEK a math program that taught me so much from the step by step pie graph.

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: Before starting this school I went to a two year college that was very expensive now, I only have 7 classes left at this school and do not have enough financial aid to finish. This school has a reasonable cost sense it is on-line.

3 College Junior

Student Body: I am not sure, due to all on-line classes

5 College Junior

Campus Resources: I have been attending Ashford sense July 2012 and have experienced in overall a lot of help. Their were some good and bad times with some of the teachers but, I expected that. I have 92 credits and sense I am in the core classes of my degree I have accomplished a lot.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: I am an on-line student and suppose there can perhaps some in proving on the way the classroom is set up, response from instructors, and live chats would be nice.

4 College Student

Academic Experience: I am enjoying the classes. Registration had a few frustrations. The workload is pretty light.

4 College Student

Academic Experience: I like that the school offered Applied Behavioral Science. The workload is pretty light and the curriculum is interesting.

4 College Student

Overall Experience: My adviser has been very sweet. I enjoy the online experience, but I may choose to transfer to a cheaper school.

College Student

Campus Resources: I only take classes online. I know nothing about the campus.

3 College Student

Campus Resources: There has been an issue with the network about once a week. A lot of links go nowhere. And I definitely need my own computer and printer.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
