Tuition & Financial Aid: I use the 9/11 GI Bill along with student loans and financial aide. I also get a military grant offered by the school. The process was simple. I applied for FASFA, turned in my award letter from the education benefits from the VA, and applied for student loans. I was approved in no time.

Academic Experience: The academics offered are challenging, but with time become easy to catch on. The classes I've taken so far have been really interesting. The University's enrollment process was quick and did not take long to enroll. They also are very helpful and always available whenever I need them.

Academic Experience: The best thing about my major in Complementary Alternative Health is the wide variety of academics I get to study. The workload is not too much to handle. I have been faced with a few classes that have stumped me at the beginning, but once I put my mind into the class, I am able to grasps the concept.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: I am attending off campus, online exclusively. I live in a rural area.

Tuition & Financial Aid: I am a single father, my 14 year old son has Diabetes I and I am receiving no public assistance other than H.U.D housing. I cannot make ends meet. And, the state is still charging me for child support, even though my child has been living with me fulltime since last September. I need more money, or I will NOT be able to buy my required textbooks.

4 College Junior

Facilities: I have been completely satisfied so far. I am attending online.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: I receive a lot of help and am very happy with everything so far.

Ashford University provides a great learning experience in a very unique environment. If you ask online Ashford students if they're happy with their choice to attend school there, most would probably say that they would do it all over again if they could, mainly because of its flexibility and convenience with schedules. The instructors are helpful and respond to questions in a timely manner, usually within one to two days. The instructors are helpful and encourage students to constantly look for better answers. Online classes are very convenient to students with complicated schedules; students can complete assignments at their own leisure, yet within the time constraints of deadlines. Most students find no problem completing their assignments.

A drawback of being an online student is that you don't have the opportunity to really check out the organizations or physical resources Ashford offers. However, the University does have an online library that students can go into from the Student Portal. The library is easy to use, and students can usually find most of the sources they need when writing a research paper. Even though it isn't your typical college interaction, the instructors and classmates are friendly and very helpful when you have questions. Students are able to help each other in unique ways. In one case, a student didn't have her book for class yet, and another student was able to scan a copy of the assignment and e-mail an attachment to her. Classmates are also helpful in post discussions and give each other timely advice and wisdom.
