Online Courses: I was prompt with all assignments and throughly did the reading. The workload was fair and I learned a lot from the class. Registration was simple. The professor was very personable even being an online course. There was peer to peer interaction through the discussion boards.

Academic Flexibility: I really love the flexibility. I am hoping to ck out the new South campus later this spring. But, the diploma program I am in, majority of classes are at main campus. Enka campus is closest to me. So, campus sites make flexibility along with great on-line and hybrid classes.

Online Courses: I love my 3 on-line and 2 hybrid classes. Its winter time and I don't want to get out of my warm house .. I have made a wise choice to complete these classes on-line. I have not experienced any problems that were resolved within an adequate time. Love it!

Academic Experience: So far, I am doing ok. Freshman with 5 classes. 3 on line and 2 hybrid.
Classes are at night so, I really do not interact during normal day time hours.
I wish the course schedules were available a little sooner for the next semesters.

Student Body: This grade is based on just a few students. Not feeling that my limited knowledge is significant enough for this to be accurate. So. my classmates are very diversified. Only one man, but, the women are from at least 48 to18.
Working, full time students and part time students.

Academic Experience: Academics are largely based on teaching skills with real world application. Registration is not particularly difficult, as long as you have an advisor and ask questions.

4 College Junior

Online Courses: The professors try their best to make online learning accessible and are always open to questions.

4 College Junior

Career Services: This school prides itself on counseling and preparing you for the job market

3 College Junior

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition, as a technical community college, really isn't bad. But it takes a lot of effort on the student's part to get anywhere with earning financial aid

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Transferring of credits was not at all difficult. The classes in general are pretty flexible, great for working people.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: Workload is at good level making the student learn the material. It is easy to contact the instructors.

4 College Senior

Academic Flexibility: I was able to have a very flexible schedule. I have had a very good expeirience at AB-Tech.

College Junior

Academic Experience: Well, I will have to come back to answer this one. I start Monday. But, I have friends that have attended AB and their experience helped me make the decision to attend.

Campus Resources: I have not even considered a problem with network reliability. With the obvious large amount of users during the registration days, there was not one excuse of the system is down. Everything seemed to run quite smoothly. There a multiple computer stations as soon as you walk in the door. I feel AB Tech in very tech savvy!!

Tuition & Financial Aid: I was actually quite surprised at how economical it is vs a 4 yr college. Also, I was quite sticker shocked with the cost of supplies.. The financial aide process was quite simple and self-explanatory. Having a veterans office made me feel proud and appreciated.

Campus Resources: First of all, we all need room to improve. But, so far, very impressed with their professionalism and efficiency during this registration period. The book store staff and veterans financial aid personnel were especially helpful.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The Financial Aid Department is very very busy at this school, and does a good job--if a bit drawn out process--of educating students exactly how the loan works, as well as requiring some basic budgeting and finance tutorials--which were all cool, because while I've budgeted most of my life, I appreciated learning about the different loan types and traits associated with each. Because of the budgeting "tool," in fact, I ended up borrowing more than I originally intended, because it pointed out to me--a fact that got much more apparent when actually purchasing books and supplies--that school can get more expensive than one bargains for, really fast, and I've already got more credit card debt than is comfortable, so avoiding leveraging that was preferable.

Student Body: The student body at AB Tech is incredibly diverse, with people from all different backgrounds and walks of life, of all ages, races, from kids fresh from high school to working adults trying to get by. Different programs attract different students. For example, the Culinary program requires absolute dedication and seems to work better for high school students who are used to working very hard at menial jobs, trying to shoot for a higher career than their nighttime line cook jobs. The Digital Media program, on the other hand, has more geeky, fun-loving students, who are usually there for furthering job skills for possibly existing jobs. I believe most students here are dedicated, no matter what program they are in.

5 College Freshman

Online Courses: Online courses are a great way to complete a course for busy working mom's like me. I also live too far away ( in Tryon NC ) to not try and reduce my driving and costs. It was very helpful that there were hybrid courses and full online courses. I find it easy and manageable. As long as one keeps up with the work that is.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: I had the most amazing experiences with the need to get in to a class. The department head for Math was very accomadating and helped me so very much and I shall always be grateful. Also the course counselors are amazingly helpful.

5 College Freshman

Student Body: This is a great place to give of my services to the community and to be a productive member of society through my college. In fact it allowed me the chance to make new friends and gain many new eye opening experiences.

5 College Senior

Campus Resources: They have shuttles that can drop you off at different parts of the school or even the bus stop for the city. I used it before I got my driver's licence and it saved my alot of trouble.

College Senior

Career Services: I have not graduated and not needed to use this service yet. I have checked out some of it and it does look promising.

5 College Junior

Student Body: My School has mixed age groups with different reasons for going to shoo. Some are returning from a long break, while others are just entering straight out of Highschool. But no matter what peoples reasons are or how different they are, most everyone is very friendly.

College Junior

Online Courses: I have not had the experience of taking an online class at AB Tech yet.
