Drug Safety: The campus here is like a nice home where you are really comfortable with everyone and you cam pretty much tell if there is something wrong with someone and people then try to help that person. So alcohol and drug use is not at al rampant in Asbury and nobody ever pressures you to do what you do not want to do. The school is very strict on drug use and has a strong policy against it.

Weather: The weather is not really bad here except for some years when it gets really cold during the winter. For international students it is really bad because most at times this is their first time experiencing the cold weather and it makes it really hard to cope for them, especially when they don't have the right clothes for the cold. It is really bad too for those not staying on campus nd without cars because you have to walk everyday in the cold to go to school and you have to go to class because you only have a limited amount of skips in class.

Overall Experience: I am not sure if I would like to come here again but I would definitely consider this school if I really needed a strong Christian environment that would help me grow in my spiritual life. My experience so far has been good, the teachers are excellent and are ready to help their students in any way they can. They tech extra lessons to help students who don't understand like international students who might find it hard to adjust. My favorite experience was working with my tag group, a tag group is a group that you are put into as a freshman to help you transition smoother from high school to college. So I had lots of fun with tag group and it helped me know other freshmen so I wasn't totally lost when I started. My tag leaders were good too and ready to help me and answer any questions I had.

Campus Strictness: They pretty much let you have your own space and don't try to invade in people's personal lives. The school is very strict on visitation hours though, and knowing the exact location of a student if they are off campus during late hours. They try to create a Christian atmosphere where students can have quiet times when they need it by providing private rooms for study or by leaving the chapel constantly open for students that need to pray. The school policies I believe are good and affect the students both positively and negatively, some students think the school policies like having chapel three times a week is great and helps them focus more, while others think chapel three times a week might be too much. Chapel for me is excellent and good just that maybe it can be minimized to once a week once the semester really kicks on because students become alot busier and need more time to work or study. Asbury creates an atmosphere where you can talk to anyone about what is going on in your life by having small groups and people you can talk to.

Weather: It is very cold. I almost did not attend here because of it, but the snow is pretty.

Scholarships: I think that they work hard to help you as much as possible.

Campus Strictness: They are extremely strict and keep to their rules. I do not believe they are too strict but others may disagree.

Off-Campus Housing: There were no real options for off campus living. Students are generally required to live on campus unless they are local.

Scholarships: I received a great deal of financial aid last year, but there were not many opportunities outside of athletics and work study to receive scholarships through the university. On top of that, the bank through which Asbury holds loans and payment plans does not offer deferred payment plans, only several payments per semester. This makes paying whatever is left out-of-pocket difficult. I felt that for $30,000 a year there would be a little more availability to some money.

Diversity: There is a unique mixture of racial diversity at Asbury. Known all around the World, Asbury offers many opportunities for multiple races to meet. Most of the population is white, but there is a small class of Hispanic and black students. There is little to no problem with segregation or discrimination o race at Asbury University. Everyone is well accepted no matter what background someone may have.

Facilities: Everyone finds something to do on campus. No one is without anything to do. The facilities are nice; they fulfill their intended purposes and are not unpleasing to the eye. The athletic center has a weight room and gym with ball courts for the athletes, the communications center has more movie props to look at then many museums. Along with that the Student Center has a wonderful coffee shop. So there are not many issues with entertainment.

Facilities: The buildings themselves are fine, but the food is not always the best. It can get pretty gross. The cafeteria ventilation is not well, so you leave meals smelling like the place when you leave.

3 College Junior

Facilities: This is definitely an area where they can improve on.

Campus Dining: It is pretty terrible. There are quite a bit of options, but the food is not good quality.

Nightlife: Wilmore is a very small town that normally closes down at 9pm. Therefore, the "night life" is found in Lexington which is a short drive away. Going to the movies or late night Taco Bell runs are big hits at Asbury.

Campus Housing: Campus housing is seriously great! I have no problems with it at all. They are constantly clean and allow for great individual privacy.

Drug Safety: There is no drug and alcohol scene at Asbury. It is truly a school where I as a student feel safe at all times in regards to this.

Guys & Girls: There is a saying about Asbury students "Where the odd are good but the goods are odd". There are alot of interesting and neat people that go to Asbury.

Weather: This year was an abnormal. The winter was a lot longer and spring wasn't until summer break . When it is cold the campus seem empty because no one is walking around unless they have to. But when it is a nice sunny day people are playing frisbee or tanning or chilling in hammocks.
