4 College Freshman

Athletics: Many athletic events are publicized, but not as much as they could be. When informed with a good amount of time, many students attend the sports events on campus. Otherwise, it is not a huge part of Asbury to attend as many sports events as possible.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: Asbury University provides spiritual growth, academic integrity, and social connected-ness to an attending student. This campus is enjoyable; the people form a real community, and this Christian college actually abides by the rules every day, unlike other colleges claiming to be a Christian college. Under the special circumstances that brought me to Asbury, I am privileged to attend such a wonderful university.

3 College Freshman

Computers: Many professors do not allow the use of technology in a classroom setting, making it more difficult to finish certain activities. Using technology in classrooms is beneficial to students and has more potential to do good than bad. Wireless connection can sometimes be good, yet other times it is difficult and frustrating to connect.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: Asbury enforces rules concerning drinking and using alcohol on campus. It is prohibited and strongly not recommended.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Have not really taken courses pertaining to my majors; only taken general education courses. Looking forward to taking courses that deal with my actual majors.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Most of the courses are enjoyable, though a few feel like one does not learn to the best of his/her academic ability due to the professor's lack of professionalism. Work load is reasonable, yet it was an adjustment from a high school to college education.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Parking depends on which grade one is in as well as whether he/she is a resident or commuter. It is inconvenient, yet understandable, for under classmen to park further away from the upper classmen spots.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: Sports aren't a big part of the students' social lies, but they create a fun and easy going atmosphere for students and parents.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: The process for financial aid was smooth and all faculy members were willing to aid the student and their family in any time of need.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: Faculty are readily and willing to help all students in a timely and friendly manner.

5 College Freshman

Facilities: One unique aspect of Asbury University is the emphasis of community.

3 College Freshman

Off-Campus Housing: I don't know mch about the off-campus housing, but I hear good things from the students who live in the apartments

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: There are several food options during breakfast, lunch, and dinner; but, quality of food isn't the greatest.

3 College Freshman

Weather: The weather can change at the drop of a hat and seasonal changes usually come early.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: There are a number of diverse restaraunts for students to dine at within walking distance and at a reasonable price.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: The emphasis on comunity life is held at an equal level as education and spiriual focus. There are many opportunities for students to envolve themself in extracaricular activities and leadership programs.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The network provided for students on campus isn't the most reliable, but computers are readily available to all students.

College Freshman

Greek Life: There are no fraternity or sorority groups available at Asbury University.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The food is mostly good and they usually have a variety of food to choose from, its just that there are not much options for people who have a different kind of diet. An example is a vegetarian, if that person has just the option of the salad bar everyday that person would not have much to eat during the semester. But they try to have a variety and try to provide food the students like.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: Transportation here is good for those with rides and friends who have rides, but will suck if you don't have a car or friends with cars because it will be very difficult to go around. Most of the big stores where students usually get stuff they really need are not located in the town where the school is located so it is difficult for students who are new to find rides that will take them there. There is a need for transportation for students especially students who are not familiar with the area.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The computers are really good but the internet is not really good. The internet access is really slow and sometimes won't even work. There was this time my teacher had to take us to a different class because the internet would not work in our regular classroom. The computer labs are accessible and always available for students though.

3 College Freshman

Facilities: Student life and hang outs is pretty good, the students find time to hang out in the student center an usually have activities out on the green. The students also try to be involved in as much physical activity and sports as much as they can and other students are always usually invited to the games. There's not much of traditions so it's just basically normal everyday stuff.

2 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: Guys and goes basically relate well and have fun together but most of the guys are more outgoing to mostly girls they know and really shy away from those they don't know. Relationships are just normal nothing over the top because it's a Christian school. The dress code is pretty tight and it is made to help the students stay safe. Social life here is pretty boring, there's mostly nothing to do because everybody is just doing their own thing and if your not asked to hang out your pretty much on your own.

3 College Freshman

Parking: Permit cost have been good this year but because of the increasing amount of students the parking spaces have become full and students get tickets for parking in the wrong spots because there is no space. Students have complained about this and arrangements are being made to open more spaces. Not having a car on campus can be stressful especially when you love off campus and have early 8 am classes but the campus is small so it is a lot easier to get around unlike other bog campuses.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial aid application was good if you applied early enough and was the school tries to make it as smooth as possible for whomever is applying. Even if you do not get financial aid they try to give out as much scholarships as possible to help cover lots of students. To get good financial support you have to apply early and constantly apply to as many as you can to help knock off some of the bills for college because college can be very expensive especially when you do not have a steady means of income.
