3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: It's extremely strict, but it's a Christian college, and I am ok with the restrictions because I know they keep us safe and honoring to each other.

4 College Freshman

Computers: There are almost always computers open and you are given a $40 printer stipend.

4 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Asbury is very strict. No drugs or alcohol. Some people think it is too strict, but they are very open about it.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Most of the housing options are great. The dorms are all clean and have a very social atmosphere.

3 College Freshman

Diversity: We are not very diverse, but we are very accepting.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There is a service that can take you into the city if you need it.

5 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There are always going to be students who are rule breakers, but for the most part, Asbury is clean.

4 College Freshman

Academics: Asbury has a great academic vitality. The Education program is one of the best in the state.

5 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Asbury is in a very small town, so it is nice and quiet. However it is only fifteen from a city.

College Freshman

Greek Life: We do not have sororities at Asbury, so this question doesn't apply.

3 College Freshman

Athletics: Asbury is not huge on sports. We do have a pretty good basketball and soccer team.

5 College Freshman

Overall Experience: My experience at Asbury has been fantastic! The professors, students, and staff are super friendly and great to be around. Even though I have been interested in other colleges, if I had to make the choice again, I would choose Asbury.

College Freshman

Greek Life: Asbury doesn't have a Greek life. There are no fraternities or sororities.

College Freshman

Campus Housing: I have no idea since I haven't lived on campus yet.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Make sure to fill out your FAFSA as soon as possible, and a good GPA is always helpful.

Guys & Girls: Students dress in a variety of ways, most of them modest. Groups of students can be seen all the time on campus laughing and hanging out. Every now and then there are class parties, and in warm weather there are games of volleyball, corn hole, and ultimate frisbee on the green. There are lots of couples on campus, and it's a running joke that at least one couple gets engaged every day.

Local Atmosphere: Wilmore is a quaint little town, but it doesn't have a lot going on. Nicholasville and Lexington are close by, however, and have all kinds of attractions and stuff to see and do.

Computers: There's almost always computers available for use in the library and computer labs, except during midterms and finals, though its more convenient to have your own. You can print so many pages for free, and I know only a few people who have gone over the limit and have had to pay. The network has problems every now and then, but is good overall.

4 College Freshman

Diversity: Even though most students are part of the majority, those in minority groups are accepted and welcomed. I have never seen signs of discrimination or intolerance.

Drug Safety: I don't know anyone who uses drugs, though I have heard of some people drinking off-campus though they're not supposed to.

1 College Freshman

Nightlife: Wilmore is Dry. If you decide to go to Asbury University, you decide to sign a code of conduct that says you will not drink while in attendance there. This is not a problem for most students or professors.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: I love living on campus. I wouldn't have made half the friends I have if I lived at home. There are 4 traditional dorms (2 for men, 2 for women) and a selection of on campus apartments. If you ever visit, try to check them all out! I live in the Kresge women's dorm and love it because I share a bathroom with 3 other girls that includes a toilet, 2 sinks, and a shower all behind a closed door rather than community bathrooms.

Drug Safety: If you're looking for a great Christian school with very little substance abuse, Asbury is it. I doubt any other school on the planet has less drinking or drug use. Seriously.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Wilmore is beautiful, but if you're looking for a night on the town, drive to Lexington (about 15 minutes away.)

4 College Freshman

Athletics: We have some awesome sports teams, although we don't currently have a football team. Everyone is supportive of the sports teams!
