Off-Campus Dining: If you have the money the off campus dining is great but if you are short on cash all you can get is fast food.

Local Atmosphere: The Town – There are many things to do the town is a tourist hub. However the most of the attractions even wholesome ones are 21+ after a certain time. During the day age is not a problem but at night there isnt much to do for college students unless they are into illegal things such as drinking, using fake ids, etc.. There is not as much to do as a college student would like.

Off-Campus Dining: Not Enough Health – The only problem I have is that there are only fast food chains around campus. Sometimes I just feel like something fresh and healthy. I have to drive all the way downtown to find something healthy or prepare it at home myself. This is not time saving at all.

Greek Life: Not Out as Much – Greek life is pretty low key here. They do get out sometimes, but it isnt major. There aren't a lot of options.

Greek Life: The Greek Life at Armstrong Atlantic State University is great. It seems as if each sorority and fraternity get along great. Also, they are all always throwing parties and events so they must have fun! :)

Diversity: The Diversity at Armstrong Atlantic State University is great. There are people from all over the world and every state in the U.S. Also, there are several clubs for everyone whether it is based on their ethnic/racial diversity, economic background, political beliefs, religion, and/or sexual orientation.

Off-Campus Dining: Off-Campus Dining at Armstrong Atlantic State University is great. Every student at AASU gets a student discount card which is used for almost everything around campus. The cost is great but the convenience is the best!

3 College Freshman

Parking: AASU Parking needs some improvement. The most needed improvement is the annual price. Even though it is $50 each year, it needs to be lower, due to the size of the school.

Athletics: Armstrong Atlantic State University Athletics is one of the best in the Southeast, particularly in both tennis, softball, and soccer. AASU needs to have more fan support from both students and the surrounding community of Savannah. AASU needs to improve on recruiting and the coaching staff, so the teams, such as basketball and baseball, would be recognized more in the Southeast, notably in America.

Facilities: AASU Student Center – The student center at Armstrong Atlantic State University is very good. Overall, the student center is very convenient to all AASU students. However, the student center needs to have more recreational or entertaining activities, such as games or game rooms for the students to spend time there; or a club room for the students to have, if guest speakers/performers perform.

Overall Experience: Graduation Is Coming Far Too Quickly – I do love this place. Yes, Financial Aid and Housing processes are tedious and emotionally draining, but that's the case everywhere. Armstrong is my home and despite all my friends' insisting that I would be better off finding an apartment somewhere, I can't leave. The Armstrong campus caters to my love of nature and I'm never too far away from my beloved theatre to be able to swoop in and help out. I can sleep up to 30 minutes before the start of classes. I've never had a "bad" professor here.

Nightlife: From the Point of View of a Non-Partier – I don't party at all. I'm underage and have no interest in that scene. That said, I do have friends who do partake in such an environment. There's no shortage of bars and clubs in Savannah. There are a few close to campus, but the thriving downtown isn't too far of a drive away.

Academics: Theatre Major and Proud of It – I would've never thought coming to a small school like Armstrong would have yielded such incredible results for my major. One expects to need to go to an art school for the kind of instruction we receive in the Theatre Department at Armstrong. The professors' vast individual experience covers just about any area that you could need help in. My major is more than a category. It's a way of life. Being a theatre major shapes everything about my day to day life. I have never had so much fun while being so rigorously challenged in my whole educational career. We may not have to write loads of essays, but we do still have a ton of work to do. It's a top notch place.

Transportation: Get a Car – Driving, but need $50 parking decal, bus stop in front of school, car pools for social activities

4 College Freshman

Parking: Parking violations and tickets are strictly enforced.

2 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Smoking and Alcohol. Recently our school decided to ban smoking everywhere on campus. So, next year, in the Fall of 2012, smoking will not be allowed anywhere on campus, and there will be no designated smoking areas.
Our school is strict when it comes to Windward Commons, the freshman dorms. However, the rest of the dorms are not strict at all when it comes to alcohol, noise, or anything.

Off-Campus Housing: Off Campus Living – There are a few apartment complexes and houses. The prices are reasonable. Overall, not very many choices.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There is really no transportation offered other than the Cat bus which gets you further in town to other places. Most of the time you have to catch rides with other people.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: Gym and Student Union – I love the student union. Its a very social place and it is a very cool place to hang out. The gym is great too..there are alot different work out classes and machines to choose from which makes going to the gym exciting and fun.

Guys & Girls: You'll find all sorts of guys at Armstrong: city boys, rednecks, and alot of down to earth boys, too. The girls are pretty much just Southern bells. Takes a moment to get use to the accent.

Drug Safety: Dry Campus.. We are definitely suppose to be a dry campus. I know my business, but besides drinking and smoking there are not too many visible drug activities.

4 College Junior

Health & Safety: Safety Is First. Armstrong always has the police on the lookout. They are pretty good with what they do. Savannah is a pretty suspicious place, and for us to not be gated we have no crime on campus to my knowledge.

4 College Junior

Academics: I appreciate the professors, they all for the most part seem to have no problem giving extra help and love what they do.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: Nice Campus, but Dark at Night – I have never felt threatened on campus or had a bad experience...but I am a graduate student, and take classes predominantly in the evening hours each day. The lighting at Armstrong is poor, although the campus is beautiful...none the less you can't help but get edgy getting into your car in a dark parking lot so close to the main intersections. Daytime is lovely

2 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: Armstrong Commandments. The campus is pretty strict on school policies and academics. The police force is also pretty strict on drinking and parking.
