Campus Housing: The Apartments – The dorms at Arkansas Tech aren't very good but you are able to live in apartments on campus if you are an athelete or upperclassman. They are very nice but expensive.

Diversity: There is a great amount of diversity at ATU. In every class I take there is always a different race or religion and the more people you meet in class the more interresting it becomes to learn about them and their race or religion.

Facilities: The facilities at Arkansas Tech University are excellent! The gym is huge and always so clean when theres games or concerts. The library is very large, and has three floors full of computers and printers so that no matter what you will always be able to sit down and use the computers or printers. The activities are excellent as well. You can do almost any intermural sport that exsist.

Scholarships: The financial aid process was easy enough and I ended up not having to pay more than 10% out of my pocket for tuition or books. The scholarships and grants paid for everything. It was hard and time consuming re-filling out the forms every year though.

Campus Housing: I Don't Know – I don't live in the dorms, but on the outside they are average. Some have been there since 1902 and some are recently built in the past couple years.

Off-Campus Dining: Tech Discounts – The best places for students are mainly fast food restraunts that give a "Tech discount" which is usually 5-10%. Most of these places are located within a few blocks of campus and are cheap

Off-Campus Housing: Own Home – Russellville is a wonderful place to live having your own home is better than renting a room or living in the dorm. Nice and quiet and the family really helps out too.

Facilities: Library Is Nice – The library is very nice. It has 3 floors with lots of computer labs, extra computers around the library, study space, printers, copiers, elevators, etc. It is very clean and open, which makes it not feel like you are "cooped up in a library." The only thing that would make it better is if it had a coffee/snack shop that students could visit for a break, instead of having to leave the library and then return.

Facilities: Tech Beauty – The atmosphere is diverse and beautiful. The campus is gorgeous. The variety of options in activities and class choices and time are amazing.

Campus Strictness: Campus Rules – Campus rules are strict but are not constantly enforced.

Transportation: Tech does not have any public transportation. As someone without a car, I know how hard it is to get around when you need to. Most places, like Walmart, are too far away to easily walk, and it can be hard to find someone who is willing to take you. I wish they had a public transportation system.

Athletics: Tech Sports – The basketball teams here are fairly good. The other sports team aren't great though. I, myself am not really interested in athletics, but I know that many people go to the games every week. The facilities seem fine, but, like I said, I don't pay much attention to the sports' side of campus.

Computers: There are several computer labs on campus and there are computers on every floor of the library. Wireless internet is available almost everywhere. The network is usually reliable and pretty fast. It is still a good idea to have a personal computer because there are over 7000 students, and a lot of the time the computers are all full.

Parking: There is not enough parking for the number of students enrolled. They are trying to keep up with this issue but they don't have a lot of overflow options - due to flood issues? or something, you can't park on the grass. In addition, campus security write a lot of tickets - if they catch you, which a lot of the times it's too much of a nightmare for even them to deal with. If you get there after the noon rush of people getting in/out of class, you should be ok. Navigating around the parking lots suck; people walk slow and no one seems to know how to drive here.

Nightlife: Two Words: Dry County – There are very few bars to speak of because Arkansas Tech is situated in a dry county. The closest place to get alcohol is 20 miles away, save for a couple of social clubs (and Ruby Tuesday's). There are a fair amount of house parties but I haven't been to any great ones. Nightlife here is all about either having fun without alcohol, drinking at parties or with a group of friends at home, or traveling quite a distance to go to bars/clubs. There are several avenues for nonalcoholic fun - bands play shows at the Grindhouse Skatepark on the regular, there are a couple of coffeehouses that are fairly popular hangouts, there's a movie theater, and there are TONS of places to eat! Or you could always go ghost hunting in nearby Dover, there are ghost lights there!

Guys & Girls: Pretty Average Selection of Eye Candy – ATU seems a bit behind on the times, trend-wise. Not like, everyone's dressed like something out of Little House on the Prairie or anything; there just aren't many hipsters here. There are some hot guys if you look but I'm picky. The girls tend to be pretty preppy from what I've noticed. Everyone is very nice and sociable. I am one of the few people from out of state, and I don't feel alienated in the least bit, though people do poke fun at my Chicago accent sometimes. There are LOTS of foreign exchange students because ATU has a really solid program with some schools in Japan and China, so it's really cool and interesting to meet people from different places and especially check out their impeccable fashion!

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus dining options are average. Not low in cost, not too convenient, few students discounts offered, fair variety

Health & Safety: Just There – It takes them a while to respond when called. They don't seem very friendly. They have given parking tickets at the very start of school and at the very end of school when they should be more lenient.

Campus Dining: Meal Plans – There are only two dining options on campus. I feel the cost of the meal plans that we are required to have when living on campus is extremely expensive. There is only one alternative of another place to eat other than the cafeteria. There could be more choices of healthier food items offered in both places.

Academics: Interest in Education – Being a management and marketing major with a double major in economics and finance has been extremely rewarding for me. I am not a graduate student going in to education. I like the challenge of this program and feel the workload, curriculum, facilities, and opportunities will afford me an excellent chance of becoming the instructor I desire to be.

Overall Experience: Very Unique – My school experience so far has been very good. It was hard at first, getting used to everything but after that its so much fun. There are alot of new people to meet and plenty of activities to do everyday. I would chooseTech any day because of the perfect size and people.

Diversity: Not Too Much – The diversity I would say at Tech is so so. There are alot of asian americans on campus due to the fact that tech has a sister school in China. It does present a problem to talk to them because not many of them speak english well. Besides this, there is not much more diversity.

Campus Housing: Alot of people don't like the dorms but I find them great. They are convenient due to most of them being centered around campus and most of them are nice. Basically they are what you make them.
