Campus Strictness: Only negatives are parking ability of non-traditional

Scholarships: Scholarships are great depending on your major if you're in nursing or biology or even an honors student you're set! But smaller things like theatre or engineering have hardly any scholarships. My financial aid process has been awful since my desicion to live on campus was added in. Also due to miscommunication I no longer have my Arkansas lottery scholarship. Technically according to my FAFSA my parents make enough money that they can send me to school so I don't qualify for any loans or work study.

Guys & Girls: They are great but there is always a little room for improvement

Facilities: I think our school is unique but it is mostly like other schools. It offers the same things as other schools

Facilities: We have a brand new athletic center and it is a very nice place to work out. We also have greek life and many clubs for students to be in.

Health & Safety: The campus has a police department. The police are always driving around campus and I feel very safe on campus.

Campus Housing: I live in the STEM dorm at ASU. I really like the atmosphere and style of the dorm. They are not to far from my classes and the cost was that bad for the nice dorms.

Campus Strictness: The scrictness on parking is beyond ridiculous. Do your research on where you can or can't park at what time. The policemen give out tickets like candy.

Campus Dining: The caf has a decent amount of options, but you'll get tired of the caf food pretty quickly. The hours of the caf are very frustrating, it closes at 9, so anyone who studies late or works, etc., are left to fend for themselves.

However, the Flex Food Court gives you other options such as Chicfila, mexican, chinese, pizza, and the grill. It's super nice when you're on the go because another downfall of the caf is that you can't take food out of it. There is also a Starbucks on campus, gotta love that.

Campus Housing: University Hall is not that bad as far as dorms go. There is plenty of room, and the furniture can be moved in a variety of ways to add even more space. The closets in most rooms are very spacious. The bathroom has enough counter space, but the shower is tiny and the toilet is just out in the open.. so make sure to buy an extra curtain if you want privacy! The halls are usually pretty quiet at night. Make sure to get a room that is far away from the elevators! And if you don't like stairs, the 2nd floor is the way to go! If you and your suitemate want a room just for yourselves, pick 208!

Greek Life: Greek Life is an amazing experience! If anything, at least go through recruitment. For the most part, the members of the Greek community are sweet, down to earth, and REAL. I'm already making some of my best friends :)

Facilities: Arkansas State isn't a large university. I know that may sound like a bad quality, but it isn't. Whenever you are on campus, you feel at home. You see people you know around every corner. You get to know your professors better, therefore they care more about your education. Being at a smaller school makes your college experience better. You have a family that is with you not for just four years, but for life.

Facilities: Arkansas State has a very high support system. The whole community gets involved and really shows school spirit when the time comes!

Academics: The marketing department has really been helpful and is very interesting. The classes really help me understand everything I will need to know once I am in the business world.

Academics: Professors and the curriculum at Arkansas State are pretty good. They really encourage academic excellence and want the best for their students. They offer special study times for students to meet with the professor in order to fully understand the material. ASU also offers a tutoring program that is really helpful and convenient for all students.

Scholarships: It was average experience, but the conditions to keep the financial aid were a bit unreasonable.

5 College Junior

Athletics: everyone is helpful and if you ever have a problem just ask!

4 College Junior

Computers: There are various computer labs throughout campus; however, it can sometimes be difficult to find an open computer.

Athletics: Arkansas State's athletics are becoming well known across the country. Our football team won back to back conference titles and beat a top 25 team for the first time as a division 1 school in the GoDaddy.com Bowl. Our basketball team has won the Western division of the Sun Belt the past two years, and been very close to making the NCAA tourney. Baseball has become a lot better the past few years and are becoming a powerhouse in the south. Our rugby program is considered one of the best in the nation.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: The facilities are great. Already given a grade once.

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: We have some of the best new dorms, in the south. Our Athletic teams, are in the process of getting some new facilities. And our library is the biggest in the state.

5 College Sophomore

Diversity: There is a social group for everyone. If you want GREEK, they have GREEK. If you are gay or support it, there is the Gay Straight Alliance. There are several religious groups (Christian, Muslim, Buddhist, etc...) on campus. Political groups hold rallies every election for their parties. There are people of every race, religion, and country on campus.

Diversity: I love state. It has a great atmosphere, and people are always friendly. Sometimes when dealing with the offices, its easier to just go and talk in person. There is always something to do on campus, whether it be an athletic event, or the GREEKS doing something crazy, its always something new. The only downside, a lot of walking if you are in any of the new dorms.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Arkansas State University has a great support system through students, athletes, but mainly our community. The school spirit, or as well call it Astate pride, is huge. The campus is decorated with school spirit, students wear encouraging school outfits, and much much more. All of our sports have fans that attend. Especially from the greek life on campus. Team performance and moral is boosted bc we have so many fans. Our facilities are newer and in tip top condition.
