3 College Junior

Facilities: ASU has a wide variety of opportunities for cultural enrichment. There are 58 countries represented, and many chances to study abroad.

3 College Junior

Campus Dining: I don't eat on campus very often, but there are a variety of choices. The only problem I see with dining, is the price.

3 College Junior

Facilities: I love campus life, but we still have a few areas for improvement, parking for example. Additional study space would help tremendously. During finals the library is so congested, it would be nice if the individual colleges had available, quiet, study rooms.

2 College Junior

Parking: There is not enough parking, and its way over priced!

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: While we always know it will be around us. I must say that the campus police do an amazing job of keeping it off the grounds. you will not feel uncomfortable. There are not smoking allowed on campus at all and you better believe if someone fires up a police or security will come out from nowhere to tell you to put it out. Ive seen it happened. Drinking is all i really see here. Most of the illegal drugs are done off campus and even that is mostly just some pills and marajiuana. Not extreme things like some schools.

4 College Sophomore

Weather: Classes are never cancelled because there is never outrageous weather. We have hot, cold, rain the normal of everything but nothing to the extreme. Sometimes they call for snow but dont get your hopes up because it never does and it never sticks. You wont get out of class. Expect to always have class cause the weather will never be an issue.

5 College Sophomore

Computers: I have gone through Career Pathways associated with ASU and they allow the students to use there large computer labs during 8-5 mon-fri. there is also free printing and free web access. They also have two computers in the student lounge and several more in the library. I have not needed to use my laptop at home or needed to get the internet at home because all my resources have been met wonderfully at school.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: On average this is a more than abnormally small school. In the amount of time I have been here I have seen very few crowds of people at one time. There is a wide range of people here. Mostly are older and married or single with children.

Scholarships: The financial aid office was very helpful, but had me running back and forth for the things i needed.

3 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: I come from a tiny town, so everything in Jonesboro seems fast paced. It seems pretty safe so far, but i don't venture out much due to school work, although whenever i do have free time, i don't have a hard time finding something to do.

4 College Freshman

Computers: There is an abundance of accessible computers on campus. There is never an issue with printing, because you can print academic related material for free at the library. There is rarely problems with the network and it is average speed.

1 College Sophomore

Parking: Trying to find a parking spot is ridiculous at the beginning of a semester, but halfway through people start dropping/skipping class more and it isn't so bad. Sometimes though, you have to literally follow a student walking to their car so that you can take their spot when they leave.

2 College Sophomore

Nightlife: There are not too many places to choose from, but there are a couple that are fun. Most have a night every week for those who are under 21.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: Alcohol is pretty common, but not a lot of obvious drug use going on as far as I know.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: The restaurants that are in Arkansas are very varied. In Jonesboro, which is where the college is located, there are many restaurants to chose from. There are fast food, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Mexican, BBQ, and anything else you can think of

3 College Freshman

Academics: I'm in Arkansas State University and I am currently undecided, though I am leaning towards Psychology. I have been very satisfied with my education thus far.

Local Atmosphere: WE PAINT THIS TOWN RED. We are the RedWolves. This town celebrates everything Redwolves. It is so much fun to be apart of it. Jonesboro is pretty big but not to big. Even if your not a college student you get into it because everyone supports ASU. We have an amazing Stadium where games are held. All kinds of great celebs and country music singers come for concerts. We have alot of well known dining experiences, shopping, amazing/beautiful parks and lakes that are fun for any age. The entire town is safe to live in and you can enjoy all of the things without having to travel far since you are a college student and on a budget. There are so many fun and free things you can do that the town and school tries to offer. Its hard to get bored. :)

5 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I feel the health and saftey at ASU is an A+ beacause the campus is beautiful. The grounds are kept beaufitul and clean. Maintance is prestine and there is almost always someone nearby during normal weekday hours during the main and surrounding campuses. I have been on both of the sites and have never encountered a health or safety problem ever. Luckily the vast majority of the town is also clean, safe and you feel pretty safe to travel in a vehicle or on foot. There are not only ASU security at all times all over campus and the surrounding living quarters but there are also police and sherrifs. I have not heard of any crimes or break ins nor of any attacks on or off campus this year at all. I feel 100% safe.

5 College Sophomore

Facilities: The soroity and fraternity houses set them apart from most schools in the mid south area. The are amazing compared to...oh lets just say Memphis State. If you are looking to become in a house then Arkansas is the way to go.

5 College Sophomore

Majors: They offer plenty of majors. A lot of basics that you could find at any other colege though. ASU is heavily agriculturally based, but they offer a plethora of degree plans.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: There are a sufficient amount of greek clubs to join for each major. You don't have to join according to your major, but there are a few that go with your chosen emphasis. There are housing on campus and off. I gave a B+ because I have seen what some "frats" can do off campus. Some are probably fine, but the ones that I have seen can be extremely disrespectful.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: ASU has plenty of labs and availability of computers for students. The thing that I have an issue with is the WIFI. Some areas of campus, it is fast and reliable. Although, you can go to the ground floor of the building and not be able to keep a contact with the WIFI whatsoever.

4 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: During classes and inbetween classes, it is not present at all. I don't live on campus, therefor I can't rate the dorms, etc. I have not seen anything negative in my presence. I am sure it is there, but you have to decide who and what you want to be around.

2 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: At ASU, you're most likely going to find "good ol'" farm boys and southern sorority girls. Most people are conservative with a strong religious affiliation. If you aren't like them, they are generally less accepting.

Weather: The weather here is nice. It doesn't snow very much in the winter so forget about cancelled class due to snow days. It does rain quite a bit in the spring; bring your umbrella! In general, it is a temperate climate.
