Drug Safety: I had a suite mate who smoked marijuana with her boyfriend on our floor of the dorm. When the smoked it the smell lingered in the hall and in our bathroom. The smell was so strong that my room mate and I would complain about it. It stank really bad.

Health & Safety: The security on campus is good and there isn't a lot of campus crime. They have emergency phone stands all around campus. I don't know about a lot of the special security measures but our safety services are the through the campus police. I feel very safe on campus.

Drug Safety: The Frat houses have alcohol on campus all week long.

Campus Strictness: The campus police are far too strict and they blockade what should be access road into and out of campus.

3 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: Restaurants around ASU are diverse and offer a wide range of food options. However, none offer student discounts which is inconvenient and makes the on campus dining more appealing.

5 College Junior

Diversity: Arkansas State University has students and teachers from all over the world. The students and staff are all very tolerant of all political, religious, and other world views.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: For the most part, the food is good, but it's easy to get bored.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere around Jonesboro is very nice. There's almost every store you can think of with 10 miles of the campus. I feel safe 99% of the time.

3 College Freshman

Computers: "Free" printing in the library is often unavailable because the printer is down fairly regularly. The availability of a computer in the library is also rare. The wireless on laptops is hardly reliable at all.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: A lot of places do student discounts, and with it being a college town it's the places geared toward the younger college students

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: The dinning hall is a good place to eat but you will eventually get tired of eating there all the time. Luckily we have the option of five other restaurants on campus in the food court that you can choose from anytime you want to change it up. The food everywhere is in good quality.

Parking: The fact that a parking permit for the year is $55 is robbery. There are twice as much parking for faculty and visitors than for actually students!!! To make things worse if you park in the parking garage you still have to pay $200+ for a assigned parking space or pay by the hour just to park.

Majors: I am a PreK-4 Teaching Major and very pleased thus far on my journey for my degree. I would not hesitate to do this over again if I had too. I have a passion for young children and that is where my hearts desire is to be at the end of my journey. I have the love and support of my children and family and they are excited for me because I am following my dream. I am hearing that the market is going to be flooded with teachers in this area when I graduate in two years, but I have faith that doors will be opened where the Lord wants me to be and where I will be used the best.

Academics: I am in the Pre K-4 Teaching Program and very pleased with my experience so far. The professors have been very knowledgeable in the subjects they are teaching and approachable if I have had any questions after class.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: I have attended ASUB for three years now and have not noticed any use of drugs or alcohol of any kind on campus. I have not been approached by anyone to use either. The only substance I have seen used is tobacco.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: Pretty good most of the time. I just get tired of the cafeteria sometimes.

3 College Junior

Academics: Again it's a impartial review, I only did two semesters so far. One was awesome the second....not so much. Besides the academics for nursing are more complicated then just a regular ol' chemistry class. For one you have to pass the tests before coarse work is added to your grade. Two the grading curves are different (eg. 75.00 equals a C, 74.999999 is a D aka fail.)

Off-Campus Housing: My reason is because I don't live close to my campus. I'd just rather live on campus and not have to worry about bills and insurance, and utilities. Can't really give a complete review because I haven't checked out the apartments near by on rent costs and stuff.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Arkansas State gives out excellent scholarships. It is a very good university that will not force you to take out loans to get the college experience.

3 College Freshman

Computers: They have a 24 hour lab. Printing is free as long as it is one copy. I've seen people print textbooks for free. They have the best software, macs and pcs, but the wifi is terrible in the dorms.

4 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Freshman dorms are terrible, but the upper level residence halls are really nice. They are all about the same price so you shouldn't have to get another loan as you go into your next year.

2 College Freshman

Transportation: They have carts for the disabled and busses that run across town, but that is about it.

3 College Sophomore

Greek Life: Greek life rules ASU. There are rarely any other party options besides Frat houses.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: I have completed my Gen Ed's at ASU and I felt like some weren't challenging enough. Overall, they were good classes

3 College Sophomore

Facilities: There are a variety of organizations on campus, but Greek Life is very big. Not a fan of that.
