Campus Housing: I live in Kays Hall and I don't enjoy it. It is old and I can't move the furniture in my room.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I'm currently in the Education program at Arkansas State University and I think it is a good program.

Nightlife: Jonesboro, AR is a dry county and therefore, there are no bars and there is no alcohol sold within the county.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I enjoy the education program Arkansas State University offers.

Guys & Girls: For the most part there are a lot of cute guys on campus and a lot of them are really nice. There are a few weird people you see around that are really different but for the most part everybody's pretty normal looking. There are a lot of greeks and athletes on campus for both guys and girls. The greeks are really nice for the most part though.

Health & Safety: I feel pretty safe on campus. They have security all over campus all the time and have different events to inform you of how to be safe. Also they always send out emails if somethings going on and if you sign up you can get the messages via text. They go a little crazy about the parking rules but other than that they do everything they can to make the campus a safe place to be all the time!

Majors: I just applied to the Teacher Education program and was accepted. It wasn't to complicated to follow the process. There is a checklist online on their website but one thing that's important to do is to start early so that you make sure everything gets done in plenty of time. The only thing that was slightly inconvenient is that there aren't many time slots for the Praxis test on campus so many of the people I knew had to leave campus and drive at least an hour to get to a place to take the test before the application was due.

Majors: As an education major, I will be student teaching, which kind of acts as an internship in a sense. Student teachers are unpaid, but the time commitment can be just as rigorous as a regular paid teacher. My responsibilities include coming up with lesson plans for the week. But I can't actually grade it to much because I haven't gotten to that semester yet.

Majors: I've just really started entering into the Education classes in the Teacher Education major. They seem to be good and the teachers for the most part really care about the students. They do everything they can to help you out. I've heard other good things about most majors that my friends are in. The only thing bad I can really find is that some majors require a lot of time and work that some people don't want to have to give.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I do not see alot of the black frats or sororities.

College Freshman

Scholarships: I have not received financial aid and I am an international student.

Parking: Some days trying to find a spot is bad but there's a garage on central campus if you can't find a spot

5 College Freshman

Majors: Art majors get a basic understanding of all fields

5 College Freshman

Computers: Every department has its own lab, plus the library

5 College Junior

Athletics: sports are very important and many students and alumni attend the games.

4 College Junior

Academics: I came to ASU to earn a Bachelors degree. The professors are very nice and helpful.

Campus Strictness: This campus is strict, but it is for the better for the campus. Some resident assistants take there job very seriously and you wont be able to sneak around and bring unwanted guests in the building or play loud music after quiet hours. With the halls being loud, people cant get there work done. But if you are cool with your RA, then they will work with you in order to better that community for everyone to live in.

3 College Junior

Academics: I am currently in the Dietetics program here. This program just started this year and there are still some kinks to work out. There are only two instructors so far and they are helpful, to a certain extent. There is a lot of coursework. You will never get a break from work. There is always something that you have to do. This is a coordinated program so, therefore, the internship is within the coursework, which is a plus.

4 College Junior

Academics: The work here is very time consuming and some teachers do not allow you to BS your way through the coursework. Some teachers want you to make good grades and help you through it, and other teachers are not that friendly. But if you need to have a get away from everything to study, the library will be the best bet.

3 College Junior

Nightlife: The campus usually throws exclusive parties and you have to know people that are in the fraternities or sororities if you want to go to their particular party. Every Thursday night you will see ASU students at this place called the Brickhouse, that's downtown. There you can enjoy karaoke at the beginning of the night and dancing to your favorite songs by the end of the night

College Junior

Majors: I have not done an internship till my last year of my major.

3 College Junior

Majors: I did not have to apply to get in the major I am in (health promotion). Although, their are health professions you have follow requirements and get into the program. Plan out your schedule and make good grades is my advice.

4 College Junior

Majors: There are all types of majors at ASU with really great professors. We have job fairs, clubs involing the major, internships and etc.

3 College Junior

Diversity: There is a lot of races and religions at ASU. Yes most are white, but our international student population is increasing.

4 College Junior

Majors: As a Health Promotion major, I am happy with my program. I am happy with my advisor. I feel as though I made a good choice and would do it over again. After I graduate I am planning in enrolling into the accelerated nursing program for a year and graduating with a BSN. ASU has a great nursing program! I am hopeful to find a job here in nursing or anywhere else. There is a high demand in Nursing and with bilingual abilities.
