Off-Campus Dining: Over the years Jonesboro has attracted a wide variety of resturants. They have alot of Mexican resturants and a Irish Pub. They are great!

Guys & Girls: The people at ASU seem to be into what is is hip and cool. There is a very diverse ethnic back ground also.

3 Recent Alumnus

Weather: It is raining all the time, bad weather with tornadoes, freezing, cold and wet and there are large distances between parking areas and academic buildings. The weather is very unpredictable. Summers are extremely hot with temps in the nineties and one-hundred degrees.

Recent Alumnus

Majors: I am hoping for an internship. Hopefully one that is a paying internship.

College Senior

Campus Housing: I don't know how to rate them because I never lived on campus

Nightlife: most people just go to the clubs unless there is a frat party or something

1 College Senior

Transportation: i have never seen a public transportation on campus.

2 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: The few good residence halls/apartments fill up so quickly and are not based on seniority.

3 College Sophomore

Computers: There are not enough computer labs to accommodate the number of students needing them. Also, they charge us for printing and I feel that's unfair.

3 College Sophomore

Guys & Girls: There are few people that I find to be extraordinary. A lot of plain janes who grew up in Jonesboro who simply didn't want to branch out and leave home so they attended ASU.

3 College Sophomore

Athletics: Football is huge at ASU, but hardly any of the student body supports any other sport. Also, even with an organized club team with fans and a winning record, we were unable to get financial support from ASU to fund our club softball team affiliated with the school.

4 College Freshman

Scholarships: Financial aid was easy. I just lost my scholarship because I have a ridiculous major.

1 College Freshman

Parking: Everyone complains about this. I lived on campus so it was not a huge deal for me, but It could still be crazy.

3 College Junior

Parking: For those who live on campus, parking is indifferent

5 College Junior

Athletics: Athletics at ASU are very big. The main sport is football. Some businesses around town will close so that the workers can attend a home game.

4 College Junior

Computers: The computers at ASU are sufficient. Some run slow.

Local Atmosphere: Jonesboro is constantly growing, so you never know what cool store will be up and going next. The shopping is great and the local attitude towards students is amazing. I feel like Jonesboro isn't too big yet, so the small town feeling is still nice and makes you feel like you're at home, even if you really live hours away. Craighead Park is a great place to go and study or go for a hike, it's awesome.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: Nightlife is mainly for students who are 21 or older, but the bars/clubs let 18-and-older inside. If you are under 21, you get a huge X marked with sharpie on both hands. I rarely go to the clubs/bars. I go for the frat parties. They are free and you are right on campus, so you can walk home or have a friend come get you.

Local Atmosphere: Jonesboro is a terrible place to live. It has gotten better as far as the night life is concerned (as restaurants have adopted liquor licenses) but still remains a flat, hot, isolated, mosquito-infested Delta town. Furthermore, without a car, transportation around town is nearly impossible, and biking is dangerous.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: Overall great (location, cleanliness/maintenance, utilities); however, the apartments and appliances are out-dated.

College Sophomore

Majors: I am anticipating my first clinical experience with an instructor this summer.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: Excellent campus security, Pricey Parking, and outrageous little fees for everything. You get what you pay for.....even in education!

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: Still an ongoing process trying to get enough aid to sustain my college classes. Hoping some grants & scholorships i've applied for come through.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: Typical majors offered.
tuition depends on whether one is seekeing a 2-yr or 4-yr degree.

3 College Sophomore

Majors: I've worked 20hours per week of volunteer programs related to early childhood education.
As the adult in the room, one must be able to know how to keep children under control, behaved, and minding. The kids are sweet though as well!
