Academic Experience: Not Impressive – The program I am enrolled in is not impressive to me. I have finished 3 out of 4 semesters. The entire time I have mostly taught myself. I don't feel like the teachers are as organized as they need to be. They require things of the students that they do not practice. The students have deadlines to meet with no exceptions. But the instructors can be late with anything and have no consequence. Grades are not posted for weeks sometimes months after the assignment has been graded. It can be very frustrating at times.

Online Courses: I Enjoy Online Classes – I love online classes. I am very efficient at budgeting my time and enjoy doing it on my own in the privacy of my home. Sometimes the teachers seem distant or don't communicate much. But for the most part I can do everything on my own at my own pace. That is what I enjoy.

Overall Experience: Good Choice – I enjoy my school. It's very convenient and good for the people in this city. They have school functions though I do not attend. I am here for an education and my diploma. The staff is helpful with any questions.

Overall Experience: Not Sure Yet – I am hoping it will all be a great experience; im just worried about finances to pay for all of my tuition and books. I know the rest will be great.

Campus Resources: Facilities Are Ok – We do not have a gym for students to use freely, the auditorium is a wonderful addition to the campus for a numerous amount of events. Students do not live on campus, so in order to use the library or the computer labs, we must go after class or drive to the campus when we need to use them.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Excellent Resources at Campus – The library is always available for research and has computers for students to use; we also have a computer lab we can use at anytime we need to.

Student Body: Most Work and Go to School Full Time – Most of the students I know work full time and go to school part time, others like me are going full time and working partime. We all do what we can to obtain our education and take care of our families and our daily home lives. So that we can get into the career field we each want to get into.

Campus Resources: It's Very Small – The school is on the small side so things like the library could be larger and more classes could be offered, but with what they have t is very good.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Very Good Community – Everyone is very helpful and interested in helping.

Career Services: Post-Grad Services – From what I know, ASU Mountain Home works to help their students not only get a good education, but to also get a good career after they have completed their education. There are programs with nursing, dental hygiene, natural preservation, and biological sciences that you can become involved with.

Academic Flexibility: School Convenience – Overall, I love ASU Mountain Home. The classes offered are very flexible so that it's possible to plan your classes around a job. Personally, all of my credits are transferable because I will be attending another ASU campus after transferring. I had 18 hours from attending UofA Monticello, which were all accepted at Mountain Home as well. The only hassle I have had to deal with was with the financial aid office. They messed up my paperwork so I wasn't able to get my scholarships until later in the semester, but I did get them eventually.

Campus Resources: The campus has a few resources which include the library, tutoring center, and admissions, etc. I think all of these resources are helpful and the people are doing their best in providing what they can and helping the students.

3 College Junior

Academic Experience: Academic Experience – I'm not really interested in any of the degrees Arkansas State University-Mountain Home has to offer, but if students are looking for a general degree then I think the school has a lot to offer and they provide choices which is a good thing.

Campus Resources: University is close to where I live. Wish they had four year programs instead of just two year! Campus is beautiful though. Very knowledgable instructors, and friendly!

Tuition & Financial Aid: Even when getting financial aid forms in on time, sometimes it is lost in shuffle. They do get it but very close deadlines and sometimes you have to resend forms.

3 College Junior

Campus Resources: The college just started to do more for the students. Yes there is a computer lab and a library but not much else. The college just started to host concerts there.

2 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: ASU Academic Flexibility – The classes work with you a little but its mostly when the teacher is available and the availability of the class. There really isnt that much to take if you are not medical. As for hassles and frustrations, its just personal. Whether or not you did your work in time. The credits do NOT transfer easily!!

Tuition & Financial Aid: Arkansas State University of Mountain Home Arkansas – The campus is pretty and most of the teachers are nice and friendly!! But in terms of academics and tuition and of the people in charge? HORRIBLE!! I say that they have a Dentistry program that I wanted to try out. I filed my FAFSA early and filled out all the papers months ago. Today I received a letter from the college saying that for the medical field they do not take FAFSA only self pay if I still would like to attend. I am a single working mother and do not have the funds to self pay over a grand towards college. So if going into medical here, I suggest scholorships or places that will pay for your classes. I took one semester there in 09 and dropped after half a semester. The teacher I had in history class was very rude and too religious. He would say how what he believes is the only right way and if we believe otherwise we are doomed to Hell. Ya not fun. I am not fond of this college and now reconsidering online colleges. If I cannot find a way to pay for my tuition I am going to find a different college. Only good thing here is the concerts, the beautiful campus, and the compass test you can take if you live in the area so you dont have to take the ACT or SAT.

Thank you for reading. -Brittney

Overall Experience: I like ASUMH because it is a smaller school with more one on one time with each professor. The campus is beautiful and it is more affordable than other schools.

5 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Computer Lab – There are many computers in the library at Arkansas State University Mountain Home. I was able to complete much of my school work there when I would not have otherwise had access to one.

5 College Freshman

Academic Flexibility: Flexibility of Classes – It is never an issue to find a time of day or a time during the week to schedual a class. They offer many different options as far as days of the week and daytime and evening classes that are sure to accomidate anyone's schedual.

5 College Freshman

Academic Experience: Registration Process – It was very easy to find a time to visit personally with my advisor and get information on financial aid that I was not aware of, and to register for my classes this fall. He helped me map out the best way to achieve my eventual goal of being an RN and was an overall great help to me.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: Tuiton Is Affordable. The tuition isn't pricey and the financial aid is incredible. I'm going for free.

3 College Freshman

Campus Resources: Great School With Friendly People. It's very clean and everyone is friendly. I like it.
