3 College Senior

Academic Experience: I'm just going for my AA and so I'm just taking the basic courses but I have really enjoyed some of them and some of the teachers are awesome.

3 College Senior

Tuition & Financial Aid: You have to stay on top of your financial aid here just to make sure everything goes correctly. The amount you pay for your education is reasonable though and a lot cheaper than many other places.

2 College Senior

Student Body: It's a smaller college and there are a lot of non-traditional students. A good majority that go there work their school schedule around their work schedule so there isn't a ton of interaction.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: There is a very wide varity of classes offered. The faculty really seam to care about the students.

5 College Sophomore

Tuition & Financial Aid: I'm getting a great education for the money. All of my school was paid with financial aid. That was a life saver.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Experience: I'm kind of just taking my basics right now. But the classes I am taking are fun and a good learning experience

3 College Junior

Student Body: My school consists of first year students right our of high school or returning students who are a lot older. There is quite an age difference between the two groups of students.

5 College Junior

Career Services: The service at Arkansas State University - Mountain Home is extremely helpful.

5 College Sophomore

Academic Flexibility: Transfer Were Went – The classes are available at multiple times and days so I have flexibility with my schedule. All but one of my classes transferred. The staff was wonderful at helping me through the transfer and registration process. I'm very happy to be here.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: So Happy to Be Here – I am a non-traditional transfer student and the staff made the transition very easy. Everyone (staff, professors and students) are very kind, friendly and helpful. The students here are of all ages, which makes for a great classroom experience. There are many degree plans available and they also offer degree plans on campus from other locations of ASU. I'm thrilled with my choice of colleges. It's a beautiful, smaller campus with personal attention for the student. Everyone here wants you to be successfull.

Online Courses: Plan Ahead – I enjoyed my online history class, but I did miss the in-class interaction with the teacher and other students. It's all a matter of planning your time and doing the required reading.

3 College Freshman

Tuition & Financial Aid: The tuition is very expensive but worth it because of how nice the buildings are.

3 College Freshman

Online Courses: Introduction to Computers – I found my online class to be very difficult to understand and finding what I needed to do was difficult compared to an in class.

4 College Junior

Overall Experience: A Step in the Right Direction. I am glad I had an opportunity to go to this school! Even when students didn't properly do their class projects, teachers would still listen and try to grade with as much objectivity as they could and see things from the students perspectives.

5 College Junior

Student Body: Working for the Community. Students work together for their organizations and are always ready to help out. From sporting events to charity work, there are always helpful students and teachers all across campus.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Easy Enter Classes – When I first transferred to my current college, I had yet to complete a degree. The staff wanted to do everything they could to help me earn my associate degree!

2 Recent Alumnus

Academic Experience: Not Impressive – The program I am enrolled in is not impressive to me. I have finished 3 out of 4 semesters. The entire time I have mostly taught myself. I don't feel like the teachers are as organized as they need to be. They require things of the students that they do not practice. The students have deadlines to meet with no exceptions. But the instructors can be late with anything and have no consequence. Grades are not posted for weeks sometimes months after the assignment has been graded. It can be very frustrating at times.

Online Courses: I Enjoy Online Classes – I love online classes. I am very efficient at budgeting my time and enjoy doing it on my own in the privacy of my home. Sometimes the teachers seem distant or don't communicate much. But for the most part I can do everything on my own at my own pace. That is what I enjoy.

3 Recent Alumnus

Overall Experience: Good Choice – I enjoy my school. It's very convenient and good for the people in this city. They have school functions though I do not attend. I am here for an education and my diploma. The staff is helpful with any questions.

3 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Not Sure Yet – I am hoping it will all be a great experience; im just worried about finances to pay for all of my tuition and books. I know the rest will be great.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Facilities Are Ok – We do not have a gym for students to use freely, the auditorium is a wonderful addition to the campus for a numerous amount of events. Students do not live on campus, so in order to use the library or the computer labs, we must go after class or drive to the campus when we need to use them.

5 College Sophomore

Campus Resources: Excellent Resources at Campus – The library is always available for research and has computers for students to use; we also have a computer lab we can use at anytime we need to.

3 College Sophomore

Student Body: Most Work and Go to School Full Time – Most of the students I know work full time and go to school part time, others like me are going full time and working partime. We all do what we can to obtain our education and take care of our families and our daily home lives. So that we can get into the career field we each want to get into.

4 College Junior

Campus Resources: It's Very Small – The school is on the small side so things like the library could be larger and more classes could be offered, but with what they have t is very good.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: Very Good Community – Everyone is very helpful and interested in helping.
