3 College Freshman

Career Services: The transfer was the most difficult of all because it was transferring California credits to Arizona credits. It was a long process, but I got to see what courses I can take.

2 College Sophomore

Career Services: Job prospects are very low in this town.

4 College Senior

Career Services: It is easy to get a degree to transfer it to a higher education college/university.

3 Recent Alumnus

Career Services: Since I am currently attending a community college it is very hard to learn everything about a career, that you probably won't be able to find a job for over here. This college only has the basics for everything, but often, that isn't enough. The quality of the career center isn't the best because if you want to specialize in something, you won't get all the information you need here. This college is mainly to obtain an Associates degree but not anything higher than that.

3 College Sophomore

Career Services: When it comes to job seeking, there isn't much to choose from.

The mission of Arizona Western College Career Development is to encourage self-reliance of individuals by promoting career planning as an ongoing developmental process. Through its Career Development department, AWC provides coaching and relevant resources for students to make a career choice and take the necessary steps to succeed in that choice. Career Development hosts a job fair each semester, during which many companies and businesses (including the US Army, Border Patrol, and National Guard) come to recruit potential candidates.

Career Development provides both online resources and a walk-in library for students to get all of the information that they may need; they also help students write their resume and prepare for job interviews, and through the college website and school boards, they list jobs available on campus as well as some jobs available off campus. However, given that AWC is a two-year college and the majority of students is just coming for an associate degree so that they can transfer to a four-year college, efforts to help students get a job after graduation are almost unnecessary.
