Overall Experience: To Receive an Opportunity for an Education Is the Best – Arizona Western College is the best college ever, I receive all help I need, plus all people are very nice. At Arizona Western College I have all motivation and support a college student should have to succeed and accomplish all academic goals. I will totally choose Arizona Western College if I have to start school all over again because AWC is like a family. We all participate and are involve in school activities, plus we have small study groups to have motivation to study and do our homework.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Scholarship Opportunities – Though I am an international Student and therefore have no access to Financial Aid, at AWC there are many scholarship opportunities with some programs such as the Honors program, the Student Government, the Matadors Ambassador program which offer scholarship to most members.

Overall Experience: Clubs on Campus – At AWC we have many student clubs such as the science club, the computer club, the Rotaract club, and many programs such as the Matador Ambassador program, the Honors program, and the Student Government Association that allow leadership activities and interaction between students in one hand and between students and faculty in the other hand.

Campus Resources: Printing on Campus – Every semester students are given $15 in their printing account and a page cost only 10 cents (50 cents for a color page). You can print from the library or the computer lab or anywhere you can log in the computer with your student account. During class you can even print for free when you use the class account instead of your personal account. This is a great deal compare to many other colleges or universities.

Academic Experience: Thoughtful Intrauctors – The instructors at AWC are very thoughtful, making amazing effort to make us learn easier. I remember when I was taking my first computer class; at that time my listening skill was too low, so the instructor will open a Word page to type the keys words as he goes on with the lecture so I could read them from the projector... "I'm doing this for you" he told me. This motivated me to work hard and get an A in that class:)

Campus Resources: Leadership on Campus – There so many leadership opportunities at Arizona Western College through the multitude of programs such as the Matador Ambassador program which I am part of, the Student Government Association, the Honors program, Phi Theta Kappa, and the many individual student clubs such as the science club, Cru, the International Students Club, the Rotaract club and so on.

Student Body: Very Diverse – The student body couldn't get any more diverse, in my opinion. In addition to the many backgrounds students possess at the school, the best thing about my college student body is that everyone seems to want to be there to get a quality education. I am in the Honors Program, so the students are always diligent. Even outside of the program, I meet new students every semester that surprise me by how much they care about their education.

Campus Resources: Blackboard is the network my college uses. It is rarely ever down, and contains all my classes on it. Within the class tabs, I am able to find information on how to contact my teacher, class assignments and due dates, and even current grades.

Academic Experience: Most Professors Make the Information Exciting – I am going to school for Astronomy and Physics; however, during my first year at Arizona Western College, I could have easily changed my major to Art or English with confidence from how interesting and inspiring the professors presented the information. There was never a dull moment in many of my classes; however, there will always be those teachers who do not compare to the better ones. Even with this in mind, the good times always outweighed the bad by far.

Tuition & Financial Aid: Worth It – The classroom education is great there, the teachers make you feel confortable and you have the opportunity to speak with them of any questions you might have. They care for our education which is great. The only problem that I have face is that books costs are too high and althought my financial aid might seem good, it seems as little to me because of all the expenses I have to make. But I guess that at the end it is worth it, not only will I have a career but a job that I like.

Overall Experience: Pleased Overall. I have been out of school for over 10 years. The day I began to establish my education, the staff was very helpful in getting me started. My advisor was more than helpful and I am very pleased with their assistance.

Campus Resources: Resources at AWC – Library with study rooms of different sizes available for student need. Computer Lab equipped with 120+ computers with the necessary software for Math, Architecture, computer graphics and so... Free Wi-Fi available on campus, and cable at the dorms. Academic Experience: The program is fine and there are internship opportunity every summer and they are even paid. We even have a science club. The only problem is that my financial situation keeps me for taking advantage of all these opportunities because I am an international independent student.

Campus Resources: Personal Computer – The schools has a lot of labs on line that you can go to . They also have a very large database for research but still you need a personal computer . Many classes take a lot of research and time to get through them and if you have your own computer it is a lot easier to not feel rushed.

4 College Junior

Academic Flexibility: Ease of Access – The college has people to help you in each step you need to take in order to graduate. They help with registration, financial aid, testing and deciding on a major. The college employees I have dealt with, have all been more then helpful. It is truly a experience of not being alone and having people who really care about your success when you go to Arizona Western.

Academic Experience: Professors Who Care – I have had a really good experience when it comes to the professors at Arizona Western College. They go all the way out to assist you in understanding their classes. They will help with giving you internet sites for more detailed explanations of material in class, go over your work with you before you submitt it , and even grade part of it and show you what you did wrong. They answer e-mails quickly or are more then happy to take phonme calls even on the weekend and holidays. The professors seem to really want to help you succeed and learn.

Career Services: Post graduation services here in school seem to be decent. Since i am still a student i have not fully experienced this service, so i have to base it off of speculations and rumors. I heard they provide with basic help and follow through, but the student needs to have his mind set and plans made in order for the staff to be mroe of a help.

Campus Resources: The Campus Life's International Student Office – The International Student office here in Arizona Western College is a very competent one. However, so are those of many colleges, but what makes it truly unique is that the international student department's staff and students are one big family. Not only does interactions and activities take place on a professional level, but it also takes on a personal level. Only when activities have been taken to a personal level can they truly help an individual. Especially an international student who is far away from home.

Overall Experience: My Experience in AWC – As an International Student here in AWC, msot precious memories here come from activities organized by the International Students Department. The activities organized are all inclined towards fostering relationships and communications between students, and the these activities have been implemented very efficiently and creatively. Even though i have built precious memories and earned good experience as a student leader here in Arizona Western College, there will always be a time to move on. I am an explorer, i discover new places and people, and do my best with every opportuniy i get, and that is what makes my experiece and memories with places memorable.

Academic Experience: What i like about this program is the way they'll help you. Easy working with students and teachers. Im super interested on the major I choose.

Campus Resources: Technology at AWC – Arizona western college offers students a very good technolpgy. They have a computer lab that students are able to use at any time for school work and research. They also give us 1000 free copies in black and white. The school library also has another computer lab that we are able to use. The school also offers wireless internet to thier students, so we are able to do homework or connect from anywhere in school.

There are many things that make AWC an outstanding college. The small size of the classes allows the instructor to pay attention to everyone, knowing each student by his or her name. The flexibility of class schedules allows students to adjust their extracurricular activities with their school time tables. The affordable tuition allows students to save money while preparing to transfer to a four-year university. Plus, the faculty members are always ready to serve the students. Students are assigned an adviser to help them make important decisions on their academic journey. You can get connected with your laptop to the campus Wi-Fi from the dorms, the cafeteria, Starbucks, or the library. Staying in the college dorms keeps you close to everything. The library offers study rooms of different sizes that you can book for your academic needs. The Student Success Center offers free tutoring in different subjects, as well.

Attending AWC gives you the chance to embrace a new community. Through the diverse nationalities of the international students attending the college, AWC opens the door to a global community and provides the opportunity to discover different cultures. You can join one or more of the many student clubs, such as the Science Club, the Radiologic Technology Club, the Rotaract Club, and the I Team (international team), just to name a few. Besides these individual clubs and organizations, faculty-supervised programs (such as the Matador Ambassador program, the Honors program, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Student Government Association) provide leadership and connection opportunities and also a chance to get scholarships.
