Campus Resources: Computer Network. I think computer labs are very good, as well as wireless internet and printing.

Academic Flexibility: Academic Flexibility. Its very good, they help you find a schedule that goes fine with your life.

Student Body: AWC Is Very Disverse in Ethnicity. They are many different races here at AWC. There is sometimes a language barrier, sometimes because students want it that way, and sometimes because they don't know English.

This is both good and bad. As students can and WILL be left out of some things.

Overall Experience: I like all the resources they have, like the Single PArents services and more.

Campus Resources: Our campus resources are well used by both the students and faculty. Our gym has a wide range of different work out machines that we can use and actually enjoy. Our Libraries are not huge but has a decent size to help us get out information and to accomplish our assignments; over all our resources here are pleasurable.

Academic Experience: My major is in Psychology and minor in Sociology; as any student here at Arizona Western College I took course such as my basic's before taking classes that have to do with my major. Currently I am taking appropriate classes for my Psychology program and the way we get to interact with students and view the different behaviors and the way our society affects these behaviors is exactly what caught my attention about Psychology and Sociology. The work load here is good enough to not stress the students out completely and the methods they use to teach really helps.

Online Courses: Fairly Good for a Community College – Faculties are not as helpful and dedicated in online classes as they do in real classes. Little face-to-face help.

Campus Resources: computer labs, priniting on campus however the website for the school is down at time not allowing me to do my homework on time

Career Services: I havent taken a chance to look at the quality of post-grad services, but my cousin tells me that it is very good. She saids that the alumni network is great as well as the job prospects.

Academic Flexibility: Academic Flex Time – I have not transfered any credits yet, but do plan to in the near future. Last year I lived in the dorms and It was very convenient because you have all the resources available to you. There are no exuses of failing any of your courses

College Sophomore

Overall Experience: College Experience – Overall experience has been good because I have met many wonderful people. I have also met people from other parts of the country, which I think has made my experience even better.

Online Courses: Love Them! I have to admit that I love online courses. From my experience, there isn't much interaction between the student and professor. That doesn't bother me much, as I really just need someone to be available in the event that there is a problem, such as being locked out of a test. In many classes there is some peer-to-peer interaction through the Discussion Board in Blackboard. These discussions can be very interesting as there are students from various backgrounds.

Academic Experience: Classes Are as Expected – I knew what classes I would be expected to take, so that part came as no surprise. Many of the classes are easy, but a few of the math classes have been a bit difficult. The newly built facilities have everything I could possibly want, with clean areas, computers built into the desks, and lots of storage for interesting things that we might study.

Campus Resources: The campus has all of the resources that you need as a college student.

Online Courses: Online Classes – The peer-to-peer interaction is lacking due to the fact that it is not face to face. The workload also seems to be fitted to online classes which vary quite a bit from in class work. If the professor knows what they are doing it can be a good class but if not the learning experience is severely effected.

Campus Resources: Computer Labs – Computer Lab has over 125 computers avaliable for students, but best of all the computer lab aides are always very helpful, they have knowledge about computers that most students don't know, so it always good to have someone there for help.

Online Courses: Online Vs. on Campus Classes – I have had the opportunity of taking both online and on campus classes. The main difference I would say is online classes requires a lot more reading since the professors is not giving you the exact notes from the text. Through our school website which is named blackboard, we are able to interact with the rest of the class as well as the professor. The work load is not that difficult and the best way to achieve a high grade in the class is to stay on track and turn in the assignments on time.

Academic Experience: AWC a Great Place to Grow – The accesability to register for classes is not difficult at all there is a choice of either registering online or at the registers office. Not only are you able to register but it gives the opportunity to hold a spot on the waiting list, which I believe to be helpful, that way if people drop the class students are notified of the position available. The professors I have been able to know have been really helpful and taught me so many new things. There are plenty of tutors for help, I mean there is even a student success center where it is specifically designed to help students with math or english. I do not regret going to this school; it is wonderful environment where students interact and learn about our environment that we plan to take care of.

Tuition & Financial Aid: The process for applying for financial aid is quite simple, one just needs to fill out the FAFSA. If you are eligible, you need to turn in Verification Documentation, and that can be a major headache! Some of the people at disbursement are very helpful, however sometimes the people working don't seem to have much experience so it becomes difficult trying to get the information you need.

Overall Experience: It's Average but Personal – Although there are some clubs and activities, there isn't a huge variety. People here do not tend to get very involved and there is very low school spirit. However, I am receiving a good education. The classrooms are typically pretty small so it is easy to communicate with one's teacher. The only things I feel that I need, but are missing, are more classes. Students have to rush in to be able to get the classes they need because they fill up very quickly and most people need the same classes.

Overall Experience: I love how the school offers courses like these involving us the students into school and also besides getting a credit it help us out on our heath.

Career Services: Transfer to University – The counselor were very kind in helping decide which university was the right one for me. They also gave me classes which credits were transferable.

Student Body: Where Everybody Knows Your Name – The students and faculty here are very friendly. The student population is really more diverse than one might expect from the location. There are teenagers fresh-out of, or still attending high school, recently retired vets looking to start on a 2nd career, parents returning to school after raising their own children, and seniors looking to shake-things-up a little. At AWC there are Americans of every race and creed: Straight, Gay, Black, White, Asian, and Hispanic, and there are people from other countries anxious to learn about our lanquage and culture. Everybody here gets along really well and I have made friends from every group above. I haven't seen any real "clicks" here at AWC, just friends.

Academic Experience: Teachers Are Great – I'm a Political Science major, and I love my teachers, they are exactly what I was hoping. I get involved in lots of arguments with, but only because its part of my class. Its been fun since day one, and I'm really excited for what is to come.

There are many things that make AWC an outstanding college. The small size of the classes allows the instructor to pay attention to everyone, knowing each student by his or her name. The flexibility of class schedules allows students to adjust their extracurricular activities with their school time tables. The affordable tuition allows students to save money while preparing to transfer to a four-year university. Plus, the faculty members are always ready to serve the students. Students are assigned an adviser to help them make important decisions on their academic journey. You can get connected with your laptop to the campus Wi-Fi from the dorms, the cafeteria, Starbucks, or the library. Staying in the college dorms keeps you close to everything. The library offers study rooms of different sizes that you can book for your academic needs. The Student Success Center offers free tutoring in different subjects, as well.

Attending AWC gives you the chance to embrace a new community. Through the diverse nationalities of the international students attending the college, AWC opens the door to a global community and provides the opportunity to discover different cultures. You can join one or more of the many student clubs, such as the Science Club, the Radiologic Technology Club, the Rotaract Club, and the I Team (international team), just to name a few. Besides these individual clubs and organizations, faculty-supervised programs (such as the Matador Ambassador program, the Honors program, Phi Theta Kappa, and the Student Government Association) provide leadership and connection opportunities and also a chance to get scholarships.
