Local Atmosphere: It's a very college town feel with lots of bars and shops and things to do. I love the feel here. It's mostly college students in the city, so you're surrounded by other students. There's a lot of little local shops and coffee shops that you can hang out in, too.

3 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: the school is located in the middle of the city so there is always something happening during the semester. the professional sports parks are not located very far from the college.

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is great, the people are friendly and willing to help other it's a very fun atmosphere to be in.

Local Atmosphere: The main way I get to campus is by walking down the main strip of Mill Ave, from the light rail. I walk through in the mornings, so it is generally very mellow. I feel relatively safe walking through Mill Ave in the morning. By afternoon, it's still okay, but that's when Mill Ave really comes alive with everyone off work for the day and having their dinner and drinks. Happy Hour is a big event every night since there are so many bars on Mill Ave, but on regular days the streets are still okay in terms of foot traffic. There is a lot of vehicle traffic in the afternoon due to college and a few other schools down the street. Overall, I still feel somewhat safe. There are often a lot of homeless people spending time on Mill Ave at any time of day, but they do not usually seriously bother anyone. The majority of the homeless population in that area appears to be young men, possibly in their 20's or early 30's. This does worry me a little (even though, as I stated, they usually do not bother anyone) especially if they get together in groups. I probably would not walk through Mill Ave on my own at night, despite the very active night life.

Local Atmosphere: I love the local atmosphere, its pretty laid back and friendly.

Tempe has everything nestled in the heart of the small city, where it thrives off of ASU students. As a student body, we easily run Tempe and keep this place popping! There are always activities, events, concerts, and plenty of things to do all around the area. From catching a show at the Marquee Theatre to testing out all the brews at Octoberfest, there is literally something going on every week that you will want to take part in. The whole Tempe area really caters to students by selling products college students would go for—and at discounted prices since the retailers around here know we are broke!

Tempe is the college town to be living in because not only is it vibrant with so many different people, but there are plenty of individuals you can click with to have a great time doing the things you love to do! The Phoenix metropolitan area is a little spread out, but everything you need is in Tempe, whether it's places to shop or the latest clubs to check out. Tempe is the hottest city in Arizona by far! As you continue to live within the ASU vicinity, you will learn the ins and outs of the surrounding location and find that there may be too much to do in one weekend.
