5 College Freshman

Campus Housing: It's the best when you look at it. It is a bit expensive but if you look at the quality it's worth it because you get your own bathroom with shower and sink and am pretty sure most colleges have to share showers with everyone. The housing process is strict so you have to make your final decision and when you submit it it's hard to get out of it because you have to follow through the time period unless otherwise. You got to go through a process to change your on campus status.

5 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Campus strictness is the best because they have security and you have to go through them before you get in so in a way it's good because all students from where ever they say there from won't have access unless they have a valid I.D. and someone to sign them in. There has been an incident where a couple of students where trying to get in saying they wanted me to get them in and made up the dumbest story which I know they were up to something.

2 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There are rules on drugs but students still do it and if they don't get caught then for them it's okay to do it again but there has been a couple of cases where students do get caught only do to alcohol poison or rumors which isn't the best way to find out. The reason being is it could be all to late finding out afterwards tragic things happen.

Health & Safety: When it comes to safety, ASU downtown location has the best police and are on top of things even though they are on it when it comes to parking tickets. Since there is homeless around all buildings require you to scan your school I.D. and without it you can't get in the building.

Facilities: I would say it's okay because the space in the dorms are descent they are connected to a floor which have laundry on each floor, plus snack machines, to a printer and two computers available on every other floor to a t.v on one floor and the other a quiet place so basically you can choose where to hang out. There are also traditions like homecomings which are fun to go to and lots of night events to floor events as well.

Facilities: The campus is about new than the other 3 locations. Facilities, are descent as well as campus life is good. It is a good experience to have when living on campus. There are plenty of opportunities at this school that are easy access for students and if you never hear of them then your not really involved with school. The school informs students of events and opportunities and do their best to get the word out there and encourage students to get involved and show up to these events.

Guys & Girls: The Downtown Phoenix campus is a lot smaller than Tempe so you're likely to encounter mainly students of a few majors, like journalism students, nursing, or exercise and wellness, but there is still a variety. Difficult to classify into groups.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: The health center is convenient on campus. Pretty safe as long as you don't walk far away from campus alone late at night.

3 College Sophomore

Campus Dining: The food at Taylor Place (DTP campus) is good on some days and not too great on other days. The meals also become redundant after a few days.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: There are quite a few dining options in the Downtown Phoenix campus, but many of them are pricey restaurants for a student budget and a few blocks away from the residence hall. The Arizona Center is near the residence hall and has decent options, like corner bakery and a Mexican food restaurant.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: campus security needs to be more visible doing things other than parking tickets

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: They have recently made a push to get more dorms and nearby housing so it is getting a lot better

3 College Senior

Majors: I like my major as I want to help the environment and people

3 College Senior

Overall Experience: It's convenient and it works for me

4 College Senior

Diversity: I am straight but I have a lot of friends in the LGBT community

4 College Senior

Athletics: The Sun Devils love sports

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: If you don't mind living a little further from campus the prices are good. Nearest campus is outrageous

3 College Senior

Campus Dining: I have only eaten there a few times but there were plenty of options available to me.

3 College Senior

Greek Life: I did not join one as they all seemed snobby when I tried to find out about how to join

4 College Senior

Transportation: With the addition of the light rail the campus is very easy to get around. Especially adding in the shuttles

3 College Senior

Drug Safety: The school tries very hard to police the drinking but the older students pass on to the younger ones ways to hide the drinking

3 College Senior

Computers: I used my own wireless laptop as I could never find a free computer when I needed it

3 College Senior

Guys & Girls: The girls are much friendlier and welcoming than the boys

4 College Senior

Academics: The registration process was very easy I did it from my home.
Most of the students seem to meet by the MU outside the Einstein brothers to study. Or inside by the fireplace.

4 College Senior

Academics: I have had fabulous teachers for the most part. All but one -Alvin Mushkatel-who when I would question something would say he could npt reply until after everyone finished the quizes/ I never did get amsweres to some of my questions.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
