College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: I have lived on campus for two years and I am currently renting a room in a house.

3 College Junior

Parking: The parking pass prices are high for students.

3 College Junior

Overall Experience: I have had a decent experience at ASU and am excited to be a part of such a diverse university. I personally am learning so much about growing, networking, and education.

4 College Freshman

Guys & Girls: I don't know what to say about this. There are 76,000 students. There's always someone to like.

Diversity: ASU prides itself on being diverse, and it absolutely is. They devote weeks to teaching the campus about different cultures and it's always a fun and entertaining experience.

4 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: A ton of multi-cultural eating places surround campus and they run at really convenient hours all the time.

4 College Freshman

Academics: I'm double majoring in Criminal Justice and Psychology and they both work very well with everyone. Double majoring is a lot of work but it's totally do-able. The professors are awesome - very fun and understanding.

4 College Freshman

Academics: It's no Ivy League school but it's pretty spectacular for a state university. Professors are always willing to work with you and they offer a lot of really cool opportunities.

3 College Freshman

Transportation: There are a lot of options but sometimes they're expensive and they take a very long time.

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: There are some things that I wish they'd take more seriously but they do a pretty good job otherwise. I haven't ever felt "unsafe".

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: Lots of cool things to be doing all the time and a ton of new people to meet and network with. Very cool place to be.

3 College Freshman

Computers: WiFi is kinda spotty but when it works it works very well. Tons of computer labs but the computers in there work very slow and the hours we have access to them are not always convenient. Printing costs are RIDICULOUS.

Facilities: School spirit is EVERYTHING here. The campus is kept up very nicely and we have top-of-the-line features almost everywhere.

4 College Freshman

Facilities: ASU is a great place to be. Academically they're pretty renowned and there are hundreds of opportunities even for undergrads. It's in the middle of a metropolitan area so there's always things to be doing and the people are usually pretty awesome.

4 College Freshman

Campus Dining: I have one of the better meal plans, so I can eat wherever I want. M&G dollars are spent on things that are WAY too overpriced, but the dining hall food isn't bad so I don't spend too much of it. The hours of the dining hall kind of suck, sometimes, because I work off campus and don't get home until late, but the staff is friendly and it's a nice experience.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: It's a pretty prominent ordeal, but it's not about the peer pressure. Those who drink or smoke or take pills or whatever, do, but they don't try to coerce anyone into do it with them.

4 College Freshman

Athletics: I don't use all of the athletic facilities, but from what I've seen they're quite nice. We have one of the biggest fitness complexes in the country to the best of my knowledge.

3 College Freshman

Parking: The cost seemed ridiculously too high at first, but then I realized how close it is to my dorms and that I get to keep it there for 9 out of 12 months of the year. It's still really expensive, but it's worth it if you pick a nice spot, I guess. And the keep people who shouldn't be there out fairly well.

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: It never really interested me but a lot of people are really big on it.

2 College Freshman

Health & Safety: My friend went to the health center for a foot injury. They looked at it and said it was just bruised. LOL Her foot was broken.

2 College Freshman

Computers: I have my own computer and laptop. I would suggest you to get the same. Printers are holy when trying to turn in an essay!! The worst problem about ASU is the WIFI. IT SUCKS!!

5 College Freshman

Academics: We are a little community that has GREAT people.

5 College Freshman

Academics: It was harder then I expected but its worth it.

3 College Freshman

Drug Safety: We are in college. What do you think we're going to do?

Transportation: I wanted to go to a festival off campus. I thought I couldn't go, but my roommate showed me how easy the buses were. Its an easy, affordable way to get where you need to be.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
