College Sophomore

Computers: I have not been to the computer labs

1 College Sophomore

Campus Strictness: ASU is one of the least strict schools

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I enjoy going out around tempe not on campus

3 College Sophomore

Weather: It depends on the time of year around here!

3 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: Tempe is a nice area, ASU is overwhelming to me

3 College Student

Campus Strictness: I think the strictness is average. I can't really comment since I never lived in the dorms or had any issues.

4 College Student

Drug Safety: As a grad student, I did not experience any drugs/peer pressure or alcohol peer pressure.

4 College Student

Local Atmosphere: Lots of free local transportation and/or reduced bus/lightrail passes for students. Parking on campus is crazy expensive and therefore not recommend. Great shopping and stores very close by.

4 College Student

Computers: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, which is great. During busy times of the semester, there can be waits to get a computer in the labs or library.

3 College Student

Greek Life: I was never Greek and don't know anything about it, so I can't really comment. Seems average, though.

3 College Student

Weather: Brutal in the summer (100 degrees plus), beautiful in the winter (60-70 degrees).

5 College Student

Majors: We have over 250 majors for undergrads and a ton of grad options. I would recommend my Master's degree program to anybody!

5 College Student

Majors: Application process was pretty simple for the Ph.D. program. Same as usual: personal statement, letters of rec, resume/CV, writing sample.

3 College Student

Athletics: Our teams aren't amazing, so athletics aren't very important. Students do get excited about football, though. The student rec center is currently being redone, so it's improving. Is a bit small for the number of students who use it.

Scholarships: Process was the same as it was at my prior schools--average.

4 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: Off-campus options are plentiful; some are typical college fare and others are pretty good. Plenty of late night options.

3 College Student

Diversity: I'm met students of many different backgrounds, but as a graduate student. Many undergrads seem to be slightly higher SES to middle income, and White.

3 College Sophomore

Academics: Like any campus there are some professors that are horrible and others that are great. The workload for my major is heavy though so I spend alot of time studying.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: I dont have any issues connecting to the Wifi on campus. It runs very quickly and I can get done what needs to be done!

College Sophomore

Nightlife: I have never been to a party or anything on campus. I am not a big partier so I usually stay home at night and try to get some studying done!

College Sophomore

Greek Life: I have no idea about the Greek life on campus. I stay away from it.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I havent experienced any campus crime myself but I have heard many horror stories about things getting stolen and nothing being done to get them back. I feel safe on campus though and I dont worry about it!

2 College Sophomore

Weather: It's Arizona, its hot and horrible 99% of the time. That's nothing that the school can do anything about though!

4 College Sophomore

Majors: I love my major! (If I didnt then I wouldnt be majoring in it!) I wish that there were more class times available. Alot of people have jobs and it is hard to be able to take time off in the middle of the day to go to a lab.

College Sophomore

Majors: I havent had the opportunity to have an internship. I would like to have one, but again I am working my way through school and I dont have the time to do this!

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
