Off-Campus Housing: I have lived off campus for two years now and I have found some nice houses outside campus. They are mostly old, built in the early 90's houses but they have a good open vibe to them and usually aren't too incredibly pricey.

Nightlife: The tempe campus is right off one of the local hotspots called Mill Ave. Mill is literally in walking distance and features many bars.

Facilities: The school is very well built and aesthetically pleasing. The student center for the most part was very helpful and open, and my favorite study areas are usually teeming with wildlife.

Campus Housing: We had only one window at Best Hall and it didn't open. We did have control of our own air conditioning in some areas.

Campus Strictness: The school overall is quite strict, especially when it comes to alcohol, drugs, and tobacco. They are very harsh on the fraternities but for the most part they deserve it. Besides that they could be a little more lenient on visitation at the dorms and personal privacy or space.

Academics: Well for starters, the sustainability program at ASU is unique and unlike many other universities in the US. We are one of the first to institute a major in the sustainability field and I really love that it is still experimental at this point. That being said, we don't have a set curriculum, so I feel like as we get more involved and find more out about sustainability, the classes each year are getting better. This kind of makes us the experimental mules of finding the right type of education for sustainability. Besides that the programs, teachers, and students all seem to enjoy the field and are eager to learn which is nice because a lot of majors just have people who are scraping by just for a degree. It is a field inspired by dreamers and I think the major will do wonders for progressing ASU.

Academics: I have liked many teachers in the field of sustainability because, like myself, they share similar viewpoints and ideas on what it means to sustain life. Besides that sometimes the workload can be difficult and sustainability majors are highly pushed to find a minor which adds more to the workload.

Health & Safety: My school makes sure students are safe and are provided with assistance if needed for health or security reasons.

3 Recent Alumnus

Campus Strictness: They enforce the rules and expect students to follow them which is why at the beginning of class teachers mention the policies regarding academic honesty and cheating.

Local Atmosphere: The atmosphere is great, the people are friendly and willing to help other it's a very fun atmosphere to be in.

Off-Campus Housing: I do not know much about the off-campus housing since I live at home but there are many resources for students to find on and off-camus housing.

Majors: I like the program I am in but wish they offer a wider range of classes to take for the degree there were classes I wanted to take to help my studies but was not on the list of required courses to take for the degree. The workload is decent not too much or difficult but have to put in the work and effort to get a good grade.

Recent Alumnus

Majors: I have not had an internship which explains my rating for this question.

4 Recent Alumnus

Facilities: The facilities are great and update since I've been at the school I am attending they have done remodeling to some building to make them more modern and accomodate the students and staff.

Recent Alumnus

Greek Life: I'm not on campus for a good amount of time to see what the greek life is about and have not looked into greek life overall.

Scholarships: The financial aid process takes awhile to get through and it may be difficult to recieve financial aid if you do not demonstrate financial need. Make sure to file for financial aid before the deadline and also to look into other sources of aid besides loans.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
