Health & Safety: Arizona State has done a good job on making sure that students are safe on campus. After shootings at other colleges, ASU installed an alert system to text message every student who signed up for the programs. They also run tests regularly. I feel safe when I am on campus.

2 College Senior

Athletics: Sports Are Okay, I Guess – I'm not really a big sports fan of Arizona State, and I hear that the football team is average. Everything else are average, I think.

3 College Senior

Computers: Computer labs at Arizona State are usually crowded everyday. It is very convenient to own a laptop because the WiFi is accessible to anyone and reliable. The need for personal printer is not necessary because ASU provides wireless printing in libraries and computer labs. Overall, the need for a personal computer is a must, unless you want to wait 10 minutes or more to use one.

3 College Sophomore

Weather: Arizona Is Hot – Tempe is a hot city during the summer. But the rest of the year is beatiful.

3 College Junior

Athletics: A Little Lacking... Even Average. School Sports at ASU are fun but people usually stop being interested after a couple of lost games.

Local Atmosphere: A Hot Spot – Arizona State University downtown Tempe campus has a ton to do. The campus itself even has a barber shop! If you are into running, jogging, or just taking a walk, it has a path all the way down Tempe lake. often, you can see people walking their dogs or taking a picnic along the sides of the lake. On one end of campus, there is Mill Avenue, which has everything from shops to restaurants. Its amazing!

5 College Junior

Guys & Girls: diverse population, friendly, social although lax in attire

4 College Junior

Computers: Good for Me – availability exceptional when the need arises, reliable and good speed; printing accessibility generally good,

Nightlife: Sucks Being Underage! Around the Main ASU campus there's a large nightlife scene, but only if you are 21+ otherwise the only options are dumb parties at the Frats and Sorities, which do not uphold the highest standards!

5 College Junior

Facilities: Accessible Areas for Students – At Arizona State University, their numerous facilities are accessible to its students from different point on the campuses. The library is filled with significant literature and the needed books for classes!

1 College Sophomore

Weather: Hot as Hell – If you take the bus, best of luck not dying of heat stroke. It's hot, and so are the buses. It's hot on campus. It's hot everywhere. Hotter than hell, actually.

3 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Housing: If You Want Safe, You'll Have to Sacrifice Some Extra Cash – It's hard to find a nice apartment nearby that isn't tiny, dirty or in a crappy area. The Palms on Scottsdale are nice, in a gated community to boot.

Transportation: Light Rail Is the Best Option – Arizona State University has an awesome alternate transportation system. It is open to the public, but it serves the students at ASU very well. It drops the students off at two different locations of the school. The cost of the pass is only fourty dollars per semester, so it is convenient in the money aspect as well.

4 College Sophomore

Diversity: I truly feel accepted. Sexual orientation is not a problem. All ethnics are accepted. Both upper class and lower clas econmic status is no problem here.

4 College Sophomore

Off-Campus Dining: Dining Off Campus Is Great – Smash burger one of my favorite places. Great burgers affordale. Great hangout and friendly staff

4 College Sophomore

Academics: Biochemistry Unique – To stay on track is fast paced. Alot of lab work and recitation. Be prepared to put in alot of time, my professors are awesome on a professional and personal level

4 College Sophomore

Facilities: Variety of academic and liberal arts class choices. I love the mountains and outdoor classes offered. Nearby Tempe Lakes Mall and beautiful scenery. School spirit is great.

Campus Housing: Friends Recommendation – i live at home off campusFriends say the original dorms are to old

4 College Junior

Campus Strictness: It's easy going. If u abide by the rules you would enjoy the college life better. Don't fight the system!

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Alcohol and underage drinking is definitely a problem. Peer pressure is always present also.

5 College Junior

Nightlife: Night Life :P – Love the night scene. Love the shuttles that are available for students to go out to clubs!

3 College Junior

Parking: The parking lots get full and hard to find a spot during peak hours of 12-5, other than that they are pretty accessible and convienent.

2 College Junior

Greek Life: Being a community college, there isn't much presence of greeks. I myself am a Phi Theta Kappa, and don't believe many people know that I am, or care.

3 College Junior

Computers: Pima Community College Computer Commons – The downtown campus has recently gone under a new rennovation, this including the computer commons. The set up of the computers is very well done and easily accessible. They have added more scanners and number of computers as well. Although the speed of the computers is a bit slower than I would like, they are loaded with the latest software and many helpful programs needed for tutorial and accomplishing assignments. Overall the new computer commons is very benefical.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
