4 College Sophomore

Local Atmosphere: I really enjoy Tempe. Its a great place to live.

Drug Safety: ASU is now a Tabaco free campus, but of course people do still smoke and do drugs. It really is a personal thing. If you don't want to do it, then you don't need to. It's not like someone is going to make you do it.

4 College Sophomore

Computers: I would say that they use the latest technology for the computers. It has good speed and there are enough of them. Maybe just a little bit more would be nice, but usually they the students have their own laptop.

4 College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I've never lived on campus, but I did go to a lot of the dorms and I would say that the overall quality is pretty good.

4 College Sophomore

Nightlife: I just say it's great because of all the stories, but I have never actually been to one.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: We have great teams that strive to win! Very competitive, but do so in honor of ASU.

4 College Sophomore

Academics: It's challenging, but there are endless opportunities and the staff really do care. I have had a wonderful educational experience here.

4 College Sophomore

Greek Life: It is really common to join the Greek life and most people get in. The good thing is that, there aren't problems associated to non-greeks, so everything is in favor of the specific person. You don't have to be in the Greek life to be cool and if you are apart of it then it's not a bad thing either.

3 College Sophomore

Scholarships: It did take a long time for the process, but I did receive a good amount of financial aid.

5 College Junior

Off-Campus Dining: It is great, I have a variety of options.

4 College Junior

Local Atmosphere: Lot's of things to do!

3 College Junior

Drug Safety: Often hear stories of drinking on campus.

4 College Junior

Athletics: Have not paid much attention to them.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Plenty of opportunities off site.

4 College Freshman

Transportation: Transportation in Tempe is awesome. You have the light rail and it takes you everywhere!

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: When it comes to attendance, there's no strictness to it. Professors let you be, but you're accountable for your grades in the class.

3 College Freshman

Scholarships: I'm currently working with my financial aid process.

College Freshman

Diversity: I have no idea. I mind my own business and I really don't pay too much attention to this stuff.

College Freshman

Nightlife: I don't know where the best parties could be found, but I do know Mill Avenue is right next to campus. There's tons of stuff to do there.

College Freshman

Greek Life: I'm not really knowledgeable of the greek life in campus. I mind my own business.

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: The local atmosphere for ASU is awesome. Mill Avenue is right next to campus and there's always something interesting there.

4 College Freshman

Majors: I am majoring in a B.S. in Criminal Justice and Criminology with a minor in Business. The school program for the major offers a lot of opportunities to the students. There's always visitors giving lectures, career lectures, and much more that it offers us.

3 College Freshman

Majors: I am currently trying to take an internship with a probation officer or any law enforcement agency.

4 College Freshman

Drug Safety: There's 4 ASU campuses and for the most part, ASU downtown campus seems be having a great policy when it comes to drug policy. I've never seen anybody doing any drugs, except for smoking cigarettes. But this is the Phoenix Downtown ASU campus. I'm not sure about the drug safeties in the other campuses.

5 College Freshman

Weather: You live in Tempe, AZ. If you aren't going to school here during the summer and can survive the first month it is heaven on earth. Just be comfortable in pool attire 80% of the time.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
