4 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: I haven't had any problems at all. There have been quite a few stories of violence and crime after hours when it's dark, but during the day it's perfectly fine.

Local Atmosphere: The city of Phoenix is working towards revitalizing urban areas, including Central and Downtown Phoenix. This is great, since in the past these areas have been rather dangerous. There are great shopping centers in Phoenix, which is helpful if one can actually afford to go shopping, and the food/restaurants are great.

Off-Campus Dining: The only good thing is how close they are and how late they're open

Campus Housing: You can't do anything really and it freaking sucks

Campus Strictness: Their strictness is greatly enforced. They care about the campus reputation and will do anything to make sure it does not become tarnished.

3 College Freshman

Computers: The computers on campus are average. Not really high tech, and sometimes the internet runs slow. But it helps get assignments done.

Off-Campus Housing: Cost is way cheaper off-campus, but the distance could be a hassle if you're walking.

Drug Safety: It's just like any other college. Not everyone is going to stay clean or sober.

Nightlife: Everyone is very pumped up and having fun. It's a great atmosphere.

Off-Campus Dining: The off-campus dining options are nice, but not a lot of variety.

Academics: Te education here is great. The professors are very flexible and very helpful and the workload isn't too overbearing.

Greek Life: The Greek life at school is fun, but at times they be obnoxious and maybe stir up trouble.

Campus Housing: Not really fancy, but not a bad place to live in.

Health & Safety: Hardly ever see security at campus. I usually see them only when big events such as football games take place.

Athletics: The student section is very energetic and passionate towards our sports program and activities. I am grateful to be a part of this experience.

Greek Life: I've never been involved, but the Greek chapters on campus have it together and do more charitable things besides partying.

Guys & Girls: There is a large mix of athletic, scholarly, and artsy people on campus, both male and female. There's something for everyone. I'm a little offended that this quiz only asks me to rate girls, however.

Drug Safety: I know it happens, but usually alcohol consumption is off of campus.

3 College Senior

Weather: The weather in Arizona is awesome, except in the summer. If you're sensitive to heat, just don't be here in the summer.

Transportation: It's a school in a downtown area. Walking is better, but taking the shuttle or the bus is usually not that big of a deal.

3 College Senior

Scholarships: You're more likely to get loans than anything else because this is a public school. If you have special factors though, most of the time there may be a scholarship available. The school itself does not offer many scholarship options.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: I've never lived at on- or off-campus housing. I've heard it's not cheap, but that most students like the freedom of off-campus living.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
