4 College Junior

Nightlife: Although I do not attend house parties/Greek parties, the bar and club scene near campus on Mill Avenue is great. There are a wide variety of bars (country, dance club, pool clubs, etc)!

College Junior

Guys & Girls: As a graduate student in a long-term relationship, I am not involved in the dating scene at Arizona State. I am unable to comment on descriptions of undergraduate student's looks, interests, and relationships.

Local Atmosphere: Tempe and surrounding Phoenix areas are fun and upbeat. There are plenty of dining options and entertainment opportunities.

4 College Junior

Diversity: ASU has a very diverse student body. There is an obvious wide range of political beliefs, religious beliefs, and national origin among students.

4 College Junior

Computers: Wifi is reliable, and there are enough computers around campus. However, printing is difficult as they require you to have "credits" before printing. Students should be given an initial quota of free printing (i.e. 150 sheets) before requiring credits of 10 cents per page.

3 College Junior

Transportation: There are many options for public transportation (light rail, shuttle buses, taxis), but I typically prefer to travel by bike to and from campus.

3 College Senior

Computers: computers are always available when I need one.

3 College Senior

Health & Safety: I feel pretty safe on campus havent encountered any bad situations.

3 College Senior

Campus Strictness: drinking is a huge problem but I dont have anything negative to say. It has really affected me in a personal way.

3 College Senior

Campus Housing: Living on campus is great for making friends and its very convenient when it comes to rolling out of bed at the last minute. The way they place people in certain housing options needs some work.

3 College Senior

Transportation: I use the shuttle everyday. Sometimes its too packed and i prefer to not have to stand for 30 minutes.

2 College Senior

Scholarships: I've had multiple problems with consistency. If its not one thing, its another.

4 College Senior

Athletics: Football season is the best. Everyone gets involved and games are insanely fun.

3 College Senior

Off-Campus Housing: Many are highly priced but very convenient in their locations.

3 College Senior

Majors: Sociology isn't a very popular major but the department offers many resources.

College Senior

Majors: I will have an internship next semester. I cannot comment on the matter just yet.

4 College Senior

Academics: A lot of research opportunities are offered. Work load is pretty average and really prepares you for furthering your education.

4 College Senior

Majors: Concerns of finding an occupation in my field of study especially since economic slump occurred.

4 College Senior

Health & Safety: Internship students participate in educating students on their health issues if this is what student is seeking.

5 College Senior

Local Atmosphere: Known for its Frank Lloyd Wright architectural standing, Gammage.

3 College Senior

Athletics: Intrigue, would luv to win tickets for such an event.

3 College Sophomore

Diversity: I can't really say because i don't live on campus and because i take online classes

College Sophomore

Campus Housing: I don't live on campus or in student housing. I own a house and live there with my husband so rating this question would not be fair. I do however have friends that live on campus (dorms and houses close to campus) and from what they say and from what I can see it is pretty nice. The atmosphere is definitely a huge selling point because students are very welcoming and open. Its easy to make friends and get to know people and the student spirit is great!

4 College Sophomore

Academics: I like the format of the online classes because they allow me to schedule around my work. I also like being able to take classes over the summer in order to faster attain my degree. Advisers are also great and help answer any and all questions that I have about a program in a timely fashion

College Sophomore

Transportation: I no longer utilize the transportation because I have switched to online studies. However, I used to ride my bike to and from classes because I lived so close to campus.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
