Athletics: Varsity Sports are mediocre at ASU it seems like some people enjoy the sports while others don't. Our football team is mediocre but our Basketball team is good. Although ASU is a D1 school it doesn't always seem like it.

5 College Freshman

Off-Campus Dining: Off campus dining is very good they have some of the best choices near campus. Chiptotle, In-n-out, Chili's, Jack in the Box, McDonalds, Jersey Mikes..etc

3 College Freshman

Greek Life: Greek Life on a scale of 1-10 is about a 7 at ASU. You always see the girls with their sorority bags or the boys with their greek shirts. More than half the campus is involved Greek Life

5 College Freshman

Computers: ASU is totally a MAC campus. Every classroom you go into has a MAC computer with everything you need. The computer commons even sells more of MACs then PC's

4 College Freshman

Academics: I came to Arizona State University for my major so far I have only taken one class that actually relates to my major. Most of the professors at this campus are very helpful they tell you to come to office hours and help with tutoring. The academics at ASU are amazing

3 College Freshman

Campus Strictness: Not Too Much – It's not too strict on campus, anti drug usage is enforced. but there are a variety of freedoms. the campus is public

4 College Freshman

Local Atmosphere: ASU tempe campus is a pretty adjustable and adaptable environment...almost anywhere you need to go is walking distance

4 College Student

Weather: If anything the summer is a little hard, because it's so hot all the walking makes you sweaty. Ew.

4 College Student

Diversity: So Many Languages. I walk around campus and here so many different languages, its exciting and refreshing.

5 College Student

Off-Campus Dining: I love the selection around ASU, subway, wendys, taco bell, sushi 101, and theres also all the places on mill ave, which includes some burger joins, another good sushi place, theres also a panda express.

College Freshman

Academics: This major is interesting because it talks about your body and how it moves and reacts. I like it because you can learn and understand the causes of one aspect of movement or the effects of another.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: There could be more scholarships, but they have made it really easy to search all of the scholarships ASU has to offer.

4 College Junior

Facilities: Everyone works really hard to get into the nursing program at ASU. The program is really great. All the teachers really care about your success. Everyone in your block will become a close nit group. The program is very difficult, but if you made it to the program, you'll make it through the program.

Greek Life: Greek Life is not big at the ASU Downtown Campus. If your looking for Greek Life, go to the Tempe Campus. There are no Greek Houses at the Downtown campus.

2 College Junior

Transportation: Horrible Parking Options – The only thing that works well is the flash bus that takes students around campus. Other than that the parking situation is horrible and the permits are not affordable.

3 College Junior

Health & Safety: I think it could be a little bit more lit, but overall I usually feel decently safe while walking around at night.

3 College Junior

Computers: The printers almost always seem to run out of toner at least twice a year. Then, it takes forever to get them replaced, and as a Graphic Design student, I am left in the dark with printing.

2 College Freshman

Parking: More Money? One of the reasons i decided to get a dorm on campus was because the parking permit is a bit out of my range. I think it's more money for the gas and for the parking. It sucks more when you're late because you get the awful parkings; they are FAR away and you end up being late to class.

3 College Freshman

Campus Housing: Good Place to Stay – The dorms are great at the downtown campus. You get to chose if you want to share rooms or just the restrooms. We have a gym on the second floor and also a starbucks. I would rate the quality of this dorms a TEN from a 1-10 scale because they are clean. Although the cost varies by which tower you stay, the social atmosphere, and the experiences are priceless.

3 College Freshman

Campus Dining: No More Please – Having a meal plan is good but I don't recommend to get it unlimited meal. The food is good but also, you get tired of eating the same repetitive meals. I suggest to go around campus and visit the different restaurants in downtown. There's fancy places to go but also there's places that take you home; having a variety foods from different places around the world. Going back to the dinning halls on campus, the food is great and you eat "buffet style" although its good but too much repetitive food is not as great.

5 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: You Just Have to Push for What You Want. Nobody here has any reason to complain about being bored or left out. There is something for everyone. You just need to look for it.

5 College Sophomore

Nightlife: You Won't Be Bored. Regardless of whether you are over or under 21, there is plenty to do. If you are more of a homebody, there are people who are into that too. There is never a shortage of any type of person at ASU.

5 College Sophomore

Athletics: Sports Are a Big Deal Here, but They Can Be Avoided If You Want – I am not a huge sports fan, and I haven't had too much trouble steering clear of people who go to those events. I've gone to two football game though, and it was certainly fun. It is really up to you whether or not you are surrounded by it.

4 College Junior

Off-Campus Housing: Apartments Are Easy to Find – Mesa has nice apartments and at reasonable price. It's really close at the campus too. it's a safe place to live at

2 College Senior

Scholarships: In-State Students Get the Advantage – About half of the students are out-of-state, and they are more than likely out of luck when it comes to getting scholarships. Even if you had perfect grades in high school and continued to have good grades in college, unless you're from the state of Arizona, financial aid is very limited. On the other hand, if you are from Arizona then many times they will pay you to go to school since you receive large amounts of scholarship money and the in-state tuition is about 20% of what the out-of-state price is.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
