Weather: Always Sunny! It's almost always warm and sunny here. It rarely ever rains. It does get a bit chilly during the nights in the late fall/winter, but it's nothing compared to many other places. Perfect if you love the sun!

Transportation: So Many Buses – The light rail is right down the road from the campus, offering a low expense way for people who live off campus to get there without too much of a hassle. There a number of fare buses arriving at campus plenty of times, and then there are free orbit buses. The transportation is really good here.

Campus Strictness: What Just Happened? The police force on campus do their jobs, but the on campus staff and older classmates are pretty relaxed when it comes underage drinking. AS long as a person is not causing trouble, they will usually let it slide because eat one point they were underage too. Even some of the police are chill about it, to a point. Either go off campus to do that kind of stuff, or do it safely in a room. Just because it might not be as tight of rules, the rules still exist.

Athletics: There are so many ways to participate in sports, whether it is the actual team, an intramural, or a local club. There is an ultimate frisbee team, a badmitten club, and so much more. The SRC offers raquetball and courts and lawns to do so much. It is hard not to get active in something on campus. Also, the proclaimed teams of ASU provide amazing games and entertainment. This year the football team is doing awesome against some pretty good teams. ASU is serious about football, and we show it by going all out every gameday.

Drug Safety: Safe Dry Campus – The drug scene at Arizona State University is not bad its a dry campus, and the on campus security is always on duty.

Facilities: The facilities at Arizona state are really outstanding. They offer an fantasic gym on campus which offers a variety of different wellness programs, field, courts, weight rooms and more. The university also offers great student services from tutoring, study halls, and advising.

Local Atmosphere: The Place to Be – The atmosphere of the university is welcoming and tranquil. Student involvement is also a main factor there are always different events and activities happening by student clubs and organizations. Tempe also offers attractions such as tempe outlets and mill ave which offers variety of stores and restaurants.

Greek Life: I personally have nothing against the greek life, but they can get annoying at times. I don't here about the sorority here that often.

Guys & Girls: This campus is really diverse when speaking of the students and faculty. The range of the type of people that come here vary from locals to international student and faculty.

Overall Experience: A Breath of Intelligence – I am currently a full time special education teacher at a rural high school. So, I spend most of my day teaching students life skills, and elementary level math and English skills. It it enlightening to me to go home and work my brain in class. Although it can be exhausting, keeping up with a full-time teaching career and being a part-time student; it is rewarding! I have learned a lot over the past 8 weeks and I can not wait to stretch my brain even more!

Athletics: School Spirit – I think that all of the ASU students, support staff and faculty do a nice job with showing school spirit.

Academics: Autism Spectrum Disorder – I just finished my first class in the Curriculum & Instruction: Focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder Master's Program and it was very challenging, but enjoyable at the same time. I am currently a high school special education teacher and I knew I wanted to go back to school to get my Master's. Well, I decided on ASU because I have alwasy been very fascinated with Autism and have worked with many children and adults who fall under the "spectrum". In the past 2 months, I have learned more about Autism and the underlying disorders and deficits involved with the disorder then I ever thought possible. The professors are wonderful and give great feed back. The grading is done in a professional manner and I have been very satisfied with the education I have recieved. I can not wait to take my next class and learn even more about the wonderful field that I am in!

Campus Housing: Living on campus feels like a rite of passage to me. I live in the Hassayampa dorms, which are considered the best for freshman because they are the newest and you don't have a communal bathroom, but a private one shared between 4 people. Pretty much any dorm you live in as a freshman is reasonable, but I've heard that the dorms Best, Irish, and Hayden are the worst because they are the first dorms build on campus, and the only dorms with communal bathrooms that barely even get hot water. If you're upperclassmen, the Vista de Sol apartments are campus owned and very clean and quaint for student living, and I have heard nothing but good things about them.

Campus Dining: Meal Plan Advice – The dining hall on campus is really hit or miss. Sometimes they serve decent food, where other times they serve things that even a dog wouldn't eat. Their breakfast is always good though which is nice, and they even serve it from 11am-2pm on weekends. Advice I wish I would have received before purchasing my meal plan though is to do all "M&G" dollars which are good towards eateries on and around campus, and also the convenient store. That way you are always happy with your meal, instead of some nights going hungry because the dining hall food is so gross.

Health & Safety: Personal Experience – An incident occurred a few weeks ago when a few girls from my sorority were walking to our weekly meeting around 9:00 pm. They were walking in a group and had physically entered the building when 3 black males aggressively approached them snatching one girl's iPhone, while another wrestled another girl to the ground trying to get her laptop. Luckily, another girl in my sorority arrived and pushed the attacker off of my sister and the 3 men left in a get-away car witnessed by more of my sisters. A few more related incidences happened after that and eventually they were caught. These incidents shook up everyone's feeling of safety on campus, but an officer came to our chapter meeting and assured us there are secret traps currently set up around campus to try and prevent that happening again, but also shared ways to stay safe and protect yourself.

Overall Experience: Great Sunshine! Its a very impersonal experience because of how large the student body is, but my academic advisor is superior and makes up for a lot of that. The staff is friendly but understandably unyielding in academic policies for the sheer number of students they have to deal with. I'd prefer that instructors not put so much of the class online that we feel that class is pointless unless it is specified as an online course.

3 College Junior

Scholarships: I would recommend to finish any financial aid business as soon as possible. If not, be prepared to wait for an hour or so when everyone is at campus trying to finish it.

Greek Life: Greek? Where? ASU, I must say, has a very wide group of Greek Life. However, there is absolutely not that much Greek housing as you would expect. You will be attending tons of parties though.

3 College Junior

Computers: There are many places where you can get access to a computer with internet and shoot an email or turn in an assignment. I think ASU has made it very convenient for students. Printing on the other hand can be a bit tricky. I have found myself losing my Sun Card and not being able to print. Overall, computers at ASU is quite satisfactory.

Drug Safety: Not Sure – Lots of people smoke and drink, including weed but I don't know that much.

4 College Sophomore

Overall Experience: Great University – Good programs offered, large variety too. ASU is known to be a party school so if you're social, you're likely to have a lot of fun here. If you aren't too social, it's still an awesome school to go to.

4 College Sophomore

Athletics: High Spirit – Great school spirit. We support the football team by going to the games and wearing all gold. There is always school spirit and chanting of "ASU" at several events.

3 College Sophomore

Health & Safety: Many on-campus security personnel present. Fire drills are routinely performed and emergency call boxes are plenty present throughout campus and on-campus living quarters. I feel quite safe at ASU.

3 College Junior

Athletics: ASU is big on Athletics. We have huge school spirit especially when it comes to football. Our campus is large and we promote healthy eating habits as well as exercise. We have a huge gym available to all students and even work out classes. You will find students running through campus for working out as our campus is large enough for people to walk, jog, or run through it for exercising.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
