Parking: At beginning of educational experience I did not have a difficult time finding parking, presently no car, still no difficult time finding parking.

Computers: I live off campus, but close by, so I do all of my computer work/printing at hoome. I rarely use the school's services.

Diversity: ASU is a great school. Amazing campus, good atmosphere and overall friendly attitude. Best part about it is the football support. The games are fun to go to and the tailgating is awesome. I'll be coming to the games for a long time.

Majors: I started an engineering major, then switched to biochemistry as the interest of the field outweighed the financial benefits of engineering. I have not regretted it yet, and really enjoy my new program and the people I've met going through it.

Majors: I had no problems switching programs, my new advisement staff in the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry are probably the best I've ever had.

Off-Campus Housing: There are lots of good apartment complexes, they vary from new and expensive to older and more affordable. Parking and services are dependent, but there are an outrageous number of options within 3 miles of campus.

Athletics: There is a lot of school spirit at ASU, especially during football season. The pride really comes out when we play UofA, in pretty much every sport.

3 College Sophomore

Drug Safety: There isn't a lot of visibility on drug and alcohol use daily on campus, but come nightlife, house parties or other social events there is substance use and peer pressure typically of a college campus.

Weather: It's Arizona, the end of the spring semester is pretty nice, but the beginning is really hot. Campus is generally cooler than other places in Tempe and they blast the Air conditioning but it's still 100 degrees outside. Fall semester is beautiful until the last month or so, when it gets hot again.

Arizona State is like no other university in the country. With a large, vibrant, and exciting student body that truly makes the campus unique, there is no arguing that ASU is by any means a boring place to be for the next four years of your life. As soon as you step onto ASU's campus, you will feel the immense amount of positive and exciting energy that gives you sense of belonging. Even though there are so many students around campus, you will be sure to find a niche to call your own. College is the time to find yourself and truly learn who you are as you prepare for the real world. ASU provides the perfect environment to challenge you to make "adult" decisions, and you won't always, but by the end of it all, you will mature into a dedicated individual!

Even though students will struggle with all-nighters, sports practice, parking tickets, and trying to recover from a great night, many of them couldn't ask for anything else. There will be times that you are drowning in homework and studying, but by the end of it all, you will look back and laugh. Your peers help you get through the tough times and make those social outings even more fun. ASU knows how to party hard, but when it comes to crunch time, we pull it off well. The kids here know how to have a great time, the nightlife and social settings are extremely fun, the academics are quite challenging—especially when you apply yourself and take it seriously—but most importantly, students will leave prepared for post-graduation and taking on the world. ASU is a fantastic place to meet new people and a great way to experience life in the great southwest. But don't take my word for it—come on out and experience it for yourself!
